Abstract Zeolites have been well known for decades as catalytic materials and adsorbents and are traditionally prepared using the bottom-up synthesis method. Although it was productive for more than 250 zeolite frameworks, the conventional solvothermal synthesis approach provided limited control over the structural characteristics of the formed materials. In turn, the discovery and development of the Assembly-Disassembly-Organization-Reassembly (ADOR) strategy for the regioselective manipulation of germanosilicates enabled the synthesis of previously unattainable zeolites with predefined structures. To date, the family tree of ADOR materials has included the topological branches of UTL, UOV, IWW, *CTH, and IWV zeolites. Herein, we report on the expansion of ADOR zeolites with a new branch related to the IWR topology, which is yet unattainable experimentally but theoretically predicted as highly promising adsorbents for CO

Abstract IPC-12 zeolite is the first member of the ADOR family produced by the structural transformation of UOV. The details of the UOV rearrangement were studied to determine the influence of the properties of the parent zeolite and treatment conditions on the outcome of IPC-12 formation. It was established that incomplete disassembly of UOV can be caused by insufficient lability of interlayer connectivity in the parent material possessing Si-enriched D4Rs or by inhibition of hydrolysis by diluted acid at high temperature. The impacts of specific interactions of the framework with anions on controllable breaking of interlayer connectivity and the conditions of the treatment at low pH (<-1) on the characteristics of the produced IPC-12 were found to be negligible. The concentration of the acid significantly influences the extent and even the direction of UOV transformation. Layer disassembly is inhibited in 1-4 M acid solutions, and complete hydrolysis to a layered precursor can be achieved in 0.1 M solution, while application of 12 M solution led to direct formation of IPC-12. Layer reassembly followed using in situ XRD measurement with a synchrotron source was found to be a gradual process starting at 40 °C and completing at 200-220 °C.

Abstract A comparative study of mountain-meadow and mountain-forest soils was performed within the entire Dolgorukovskaya Yayla—a plateau on the northern macroslope of the Main Ridge of the Crimean Mountains—in the altitudinal range from 560 to 975 m a.s.l. Soil morphology, texture, acidity, exchangeable cations, nonsilicate iron content, parameters of the humus status, and optical characteristics of soils were studied. Forest soils on the entire slope are assigned to acid and dark burozems (Cambisols, Luvisols); they are characterized by similar morphological properties and profile patterns of clay, humus, and nonsilicate iron. Mountain-meadow, mountain-meadow chernozem-like, and residual-carbonate soils (Phaeozems) are formed under meadow vegetation in the upper part of the plateau, and soils transitional to piedmont chernozems (Chernozems) are located in its lower part. Humus reserves in the 0- to 50-cm-thick soil layer varied from 16.6 to 42.2 kg/ under meadows and from 10.7 to 18.8 kg/ under forests. Soils under forest and meadow vegetation were characterized by an increase in acidity and a decrease in base saturation with the increase in the altitude. Acidity was generally higher in forest soils, while the difference in this parameter between forest and meadow soils in the upper part of the plateau was minimal. In soils under meadows, the content of oxalate-extractable iron also increased with the altitude, and its mean content in the A horizon (226 ± 67 mg/100) was higher than that in forest soils (183 ± 41 mg/100 g). More intense color of soils under grass vegetation as compared to soils under forests is mainly explained by the differences in the rate of organic matter humification and optical density of humic acids, the total humus content being similar in both groups of soils.

Abstract 2D oxide nanomaterials constitute a broad range of materials, with a wide array of current and potential applications, particularly in the fields of energy storage and catalysis for sustainable energy production. Despite the many similarities in structure, composition, and synthetic methods and uses, the current literature on layered oxides is diverse and disconnected. A number of reviews can be found in the literature, but they are mostly focused on one of the particular subclasses of 2D oxides. This review attempts to bridge the knowledge gap between individual layered oxide types by summarizing recent developments in all important 2D oxide systems including supported ultrathin oxide films, layered clays and double hydroxides, layered perovskites, and novel 2D-zeolite-based materials. Particular attention is paid to the underlying similarities and differences between the various materials, and the subsequent challenges faced by each research community. The potential of layered oxides toward future applications is critically evaluated, especially in the areas of electrocatalysis and photocatalysis, biomass conversion, and fine chemical synthesis. Attention is also paid to corresponding novel 3D materials that can be obtained via sophisticated engineering of 2D oxides.

Abstract Objective: Increasing access to quality, evidence-based mental health treatments, including psychotherapy, is a global priority. Knowledge of factors associated with delivery settings is critical to ensure that new practices are appropriate and effectively adapted for novel settings. Understanding perceived needs for training and interest in ongoing education is one key factor. This qualitative study aimed to identify perspectives on contemporary evidence-based psychotherapies, perceived needs for mental health training, and existing barriers and facilitators to provision of mental health services in community clinics in Ukraine. Purposive and snowball sampling was used to recruit 18 physicians and psychologists employed in community clinics in Kyiv. A combination of free-listing and semi-structured interviews was used to collect data, which were thematically coded using emergent coding.
Results: Findings from this study indicated that participants recognize a need for improved mental health knowledge and training, as well as suggested interest and openness to learning short-term, structured psychological interventions. Additional barriers and existing strengths described by participants provide insight into possible factors that may impact future trainings in and implementation of modern mental health approaches.
