    Abstract The Jinshajiang suture zone, located in the eastern part of the Tethyan tectonic domain, is noticeable for a large-scale distribution of Late Jurassic to Triassic granitoids. These granitoids were genetically related to the evolution of the Paleo-Tethys Ocean. The Beiwu, Linong and Lunong granitoids occur in the middle zone of the Jinshajiang Suture Zone, and possess similar geochemical features, indicating they share a common magma source. SIMS zircon U-Pb dating reveals the Beiwu, Linong and Lunong granitic intrusions were emplaced at 233.9?1.4 Ma (2 sigma), 233.1 ?1.4 Ma (2 sigma) and 231.0?1.6 Ma (2 sigma), respectively. All of these granitoids are enriched in abundances of Si (SiO2 =65.2-73.5 wt.%), and large-ion-lithophile-elements (LILEs), but depleted in high-field-strength-elements contents (HFSEs, e.g., Nb, Ta, Ti). In addition, they have low P2O5 contents (0.06-0.11 wt.%), A/CNK values ([molecular Al2O3/(CaO+Na2O+K2O)], mostly<1.1) and 10000Ga/Al ratios (1.7-2.2), consistent with the characteristics of I-type granites. In terms of isotopic compositions, these granitoids have high initial 87Sr/86Sr ratios (0.7078-0.7148), Pb isotopic compositions [(206Pb/204Pb)t=18.213-18.598, (207Pb/204Pb)t=15.637-15.730 and (208Pb/204Pb)t=38.323-38.791], zircon d18O values (7. per mil-9.3 per mil) and negative eNd(t) values (-5.1 to -6.7), suggesting they were predominantly derived from the continental crust. Their Nb/Ta ratios (average value=8.6) are consistent with those of the lower continental crust (LCC). However, variable ?Hf(t) values (-8.6 to +2.8) and the occurrences of mafic microgranular enclaves (MMEs) suggest that mantle-derived melts and lower crustal magmas were involved in the generation of these granitoids. Moreover, the high Pb isotopic ratios and elevated zircon d18O values of these rocks indicate a significant contribution of the upper crustal composition. We propose a model in which the Beiwu, Linong and Lunong granitoids were generated under a late collisional or post-collisional setting. It is possible that this collision was completed before Late Triassic. Decompression induced mantle-derived magmas underplated and provided the heat for the anatexis of the crust. Hybrid melts including mantle-derived and the lower crustal magmas were then generated. The hybrid melts thereafter ascended to a shallow depth and resulted in some degree of sedimentary rocks assimilation. Such three-component mixing magmas source and subsequent fractional crystallization could be responsible for the formation of the Beiwu, Linong and Lunong granitoids.

    Abstract The genus Oxyartes currently comprises 17 taxa, of which 12 are found in China, representing the high diversity in China. This list includes the two species from China as described in this paper. The first is a new remarkable species O. bouxraeuz sp. nov. collected from Gulinqing township, Yunnan. The second is a newly recorded species, O. cresphontes. This species is reported from Mdog, Xizang, China. A key to this genus from China is presented. Type specimens are deposited in the Yunnan Agricultural University (YNAU).

Extensive pulmonary fibrosis is a severe threat to patients' life and lung transplantation is last resort to prolong the life of patients. We reported a case of critical type COVID-19 patient, though various treatment measures were used, including anti-virus, anti-infection, improving immunity, convalescent plasma, prone position ventilation, and airway cleaning by fiber-optic bronchoscope, although his COVID-19 nucleic acid test turned negative, the patient still developed irreversible extensive pulmonary fibrosis, and respiratory mechanics suggested that lung compliance could not be effectively recovered.     Abstract Background: There are currently no standard therapy regimens for the third-line treatment of metastatic pancreatic cancer (mPC) patients. The aim of the present study was to compare the efficacy and safety of different third-line therapy regimens for mPC in the real-world.
    Methods: This study retrospectively analyzed mPC patients admitted to Zhejiang Provincial People's Hospital between June 2013 and January 2023. All patients' diagnoses were pathologically confirmed and their treatment was continued after the second-line therapy failed. The primary study endpoints included median overall survival (mOS), median progression-free survival (mPFS), and disease control rate (DCR).
    Results: A total of 72 patients were enrolled in the study. Of these, 36 patients received chemotherapy alone, 16 received chemotherapy combined with targeted therapy or immunotherapy, 14 received chemotherapy-free antitumor therapy, and six received palliative care. The mPFS value for these groups was 4.40 months, 5.20 months, 2.33 months, and 0.80 months, respectively. The mOS value was 6.90 months, 5.90 months, 3.33 months, and 0.80 months, respectively. The DCR was 33.4%, 31.3%, 21.4%, and 0.0%, respectively. Overall, there were significant differences in prognosis between the palliative care group and the other treatment groups (mOS,
    Conclusions: Third-line antitumor therapy can prolong the survival time of patients with mPC. Targeted therapy or immunotherapy failed to further improve survival benefits based on chemotherapy results. Patients who underwent the third-line treatment with good physical status and family history of cancer were independent prognostic factors for longer mOS. The sequencing of fluorouracil and gemcitabine in the front-line therapy did not affect third-line mOS.

    Abstract Background: Currently, there is a lack of affordable and accessible indicators that can accurately predict immune-related adverse events (irAEs) resulting from the use of immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs). In order to address this knowledge gap, our study explore the potential predictive value of two ratios, namely the neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) and platelet-lymphocyte ratio (PLR), for irAEs in cancer patients.
    Methods: A systematic search was performed in PubMed, Embase, and the Cochrane library. Studies involving NLR or PLR with irAEs were included. Quality and risk of bias of the selected studies were assessed. Forest plots were created based on Cox model analysis. Random effects meta-analyses were conducted to estimate odds ratio (OR) and its 95% confidence interval (CI).
    Results: After screening 594 studies, a total of 7 eligible studies with 1068 cancer patients were included. Analysis based on Cox regression showed that low neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio (L-NLR) (OR = 3.02, 95% CI 1.51 to 6.05, P = 0.002) and low platelet-lymphocyte ratio (L-PLR) (OR = 1.83, 95% CI 1.21 to 2.76, P = 0.004) were associated with irAEs. In the subgroup analysis of cut-off value, when the NLR cut-off value was 3, irAEs was significantly correlated with NLR (OR = 2.63, 95% CI 1.63 to 4.26, P < 0.001).
    Conclusions: Both L-NLR and L-PLR have been found to be significantly associated with irAEs. Consequently, patients identified as being at a higher risk for irAEs should be subjected to more diligent monitoring and close observation.

    Abstract Mining activities expose sulfidic minerals including arsenopyrite (FeAsS) to acid mine drainage (AMD). The subsequent release of toxic arsenic (As) can have great negative implications for the environment and human health. This study investigated the evolution of secondary products and As speciation transformations during arsenopyrite bio-oxidation in AMD collected from a polymetallic mine. Immobilization of the As solubilized via arsenopyrite bio-oxidation using red mud (RM) was also studied. The results show that the high ionic strength (concentrations of dissolved Fe³⁺, SO₄²⁻, and Ca²⁺ reached values up to 0.75, 3.38, and 0.35 g/L, respectively) and redox potential (up to +621 mV) of AMD (caused primarily by Fe³⁺) enhanced the dissolution of arsenopyrite. A high [Fe]ₐq/[As]ₐq ratio in the AMD favored the precipitation of tooeleite during arsenopyrite bio-oxidation, and the formation of other poorly crystalline products such as schwertmannite and amorphous ferric arsenate also contributed to As immobilization. Bacterial cells served as important nucleation sites for the precipitation of mineral phases. Arsenopyrite completely dissolved after 12 days of bio-oxidation in AMD and the [As]ₐq (mainly present as As(III)) reached 1.92 g/L, while a greater [As]ₐq was observed in a basal salts medium (BSM) assay (reaching 3.02 g/L). An RM addition significantly promoted As(III) immobilization, with final [As(III)]ₐq decreasing to 0.16 and 1.43 g/L in AMD and BSM assays respectively. No oxidation of As(III) was detected during the immobilization process. These findings can help predict As release from arsenopyrite on contact with AMD and, on a broader scale, assist in designing remediation and treatment strategies to mitigate As contamination in mining.
