Abstract Uveal melanoma (UM) is the most common primary eye malignancy. Despite excellent local tumor rates, UM is a life-threatening disease with moderate systemic metastatic rates. In the past, certain clinical features were shown to be predictive of patient prognosis, including tumor thickness, tumor diameter, ciliary body involvement, and histopathologic factors. Genetic markers have lately been used to predict patient outcomes. The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) is a worldwide effort developed by the National Cancer Institute and the National Human Genome Research Institute to study numerous mutations in various cancer types. TCGA has explored chromosome copy number alterations in UM, messenger RNA, micro-RNA, and long noncoding RNA expression levels and established four prognostic classes: group A (chromosome 3 and 8 disomy), group B (chromosome 3 disomy and 8q gain), group C (chromosome 3 monosomy and/or 8q gain), and group D (chromosome 3 monosomy and multiple 8q gains). Multiple studies have validated TCGA classification and have reported that it has been highly predictive of UM metastasis and patient survival.

Abstract Background: TikTok is a popular social media site for connecting with others online where many users also access and share health-related information. Previous studies have characterized information shared about specific disabilities on TikTok, but descriptions of autism-related content are lacking. Understanding the information shared about autism on TikTok is important to understanding health communication in this space, the lived experiences of autistic people, and the role that social media platforms play in building community through connection, understanding, and inclusion.
Methods: We used an open-source data scraper to identify and download videos with at least 1 million views and that used the hashtag #autism from TikTok. Using a joint inductive and deductive approach, we performed a content analysis of videos. We identified six content topics that described video content (e.g., positive social interactions and features of autism), and three categories that described video purpose (e.g., educational, experiential, and observational). We used descriptive statistics to describe characteristics of who was in the TikTok videos.
    Results: We analyzed
Conclusions: Highly viewed #autism TikTok videos primarily share autistic people's individual experiences rather than providing general education about autism. However, autistic Black, Indigenous, and people of color may have difficulty finding others that represent them along both disability and racial dimensions. Future research should investigate autistic people's motivations for using TikTok, and how #autism content shapes social discourse about autism.

Abstract Objective: Cutaneous lupus erythematosus (CLE), with or without systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), can be debilitating and cause psychological distress. Belimumab, a monoclonal antibody that inhibits B cell activation, is a Federal Drug Administration-approved SLE medication, but less is known on its use in CLE. Moreover, the time to response after starting belimumab in CLE is unknown, which may lead to premature discontinuation in the absence of early perceivable benefits. Thus, the objectives of this meta-analysis were to examine the efficacy of belimumab, as well as the time to response after starting belimumab in patients with CLE with or without SLE.
Methods: A comprehensive literature search was performed to include studies that examined clinical response in patients with CLE with or without SLE receiving belimumab. A clinical response at 52 weeks in belimumab users versus nonusers was summarized in a random-effects model. Additionally, we calculated the pooled odds ratio (OR) for each consecutive 4-week observation interval to identify time to a clinical response in CLE with or without SLE after starting belimumab.
Results: Among 747 screened studies, 14 were included. The pooled odds of clinical response at 52 weeks in belimumab users were 44% higher compared to nonusers (OR 1.44 [95% confidence interval (95% CI) 1.20-1.74], I
Conclusion: The findings support belimumab as an effective therapy for CLE with SLE. Likewise, the findings inform patient counseling regarding estimates of 20 weeks to achieve a response.

Abstract Well-described complications of polyetheretherketone (PEEK) cranioplasty in pediatric patients include surgical site infection, post-operative hematoma, cerebral edema, and implant fracture. We present a rare case of hypersensitivity to PEEK presenting as an epidural effusion in a 7-year-old male receiving a PEEK cranioplasty following a decompressive craniectomy. Within three weeks, the patient experienced fever and emesis. Erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) was high (>130 mm/Hr) as well as C-reactive protein (CRP) (6.4 mg/dL). A brain MRI with contrast demonstrated both subgaleal and epidural fluid collections with T2 isointense columns projecting from the galeal surface, through the holes in the implant to the dural surface. The patient appeared clinically well. A sterile tap of the pericranial fluid showed no growth, b2-transferrin was negative, but the IgG level was high (>129.2 mg/dL) in the tap fluid. High-dose steroids reduced the epidural collection, but then the collection returned with steroid wean. A second cranioplasty operation replaced the PEEK flap with autologous bone. Postoperative imaging demonstrated markedly reduced fluid collections and a decreased midline shift. The patient remained clinically intact throughout the experience. PEEK allergy following cranioplasty is a rare entity and must be distinguished from infection or hematoma. Medical treatment with steroids can be attempted, but, if refractory, then appropriate treatment may necessitate removal of the offending PEEK implant.

Abstract Dropped head syndrome (DHS) involves severe weakness of the neck extensor muscles causing the mandible to drop to the chest wall. Isolated neck extensor weakness is a rare complication of radiotherapy. This condition may result within a few weeks or months following radiotherapy (early-onset) or several years after radiotherapy (late-onset), with the latter more commonly encountered. Person-in-the-barrel syndrome is marked by bilateral brachial diplegia, intact cranial nerves, and preserved lower extremity strength. We describe the unique clinical profile of a patient with a six-week history of significant neck and bilateral upper extremity weakness who was diagnosed three months prior to the onset of these symptoms with moderately differentiated squamous cell carcinoma within the base of the tongue (Stage III T2N1M0) and metastasis to the cervical lymph nodes. She underwent concurrent chemotherapy with three cycles of cisplatin (197 mg {100 mg/m

Abstract Uncertainty is inherent in most decisions humans make. Economists distinguish between two types of decision-making under non-certain conditions: those involving risk (i.e., known outcome probabilities) and those that involve ambiguity (i.e., unknown outcome probabilities). Prior research has identified individual differences that explain risk preferences, but little is known about factors associated with ambiguity aversion. Here, we hypothesized that cumulative exposure to major psychosocial stressors over the lifespan might be one factor that predicts individuals' ambiguity aversion.
