    Abstract Background: Urticaria is a common skin disease that has a high impact on a patient's daily life. Xiaofeng powder (XFP) is one of the most commonly used Chinese herbal formula in China for urticaria. However, due to the lack of systematic evaluations, its clinical efficacy remains controversial. This meta-analysis was performed to evaluate the effect and safety of XFP for urticaria.
    Methods: Seven databases, including Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, PubMed, Embase, the Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), the Chinese Scientific Journal Database (VIP), the Chinese Biomedical Literature Database (CBM), and the Wanfang Database. The period will be from their inception to September 2018. Randomized controlled trials of XFS used separately against conventional Western medicine therapy in patients with urticarial were included. After the methodologic quality was assessed and the valid data were extracted, RevMan 5.3 software was used for the final meta-analysis.
    Results: The results will provide evidence regarding the efficacy and safety of XFP in treating urticaria.
    Conclusion: The conclusion of our systematic review will provide evidence to judge whether XFP is an effective intervention for patient with urticaria. This systematic review will be disseminated in peer-reviewed publications. The results of the study will provide evidence concerning the efficacy and safety of Xiaofeng Powder (xiao feng san) in treating urticaria.

    Abstract This book presents research on the challenges and potential of fungal contribution in agriculture for food substantiality. Research on fungi plays an essential role in the improvement of biotechnologies which lead global sustainable food production. Use of fungal processes and products can bring increased sustainability through more efficient use of natural resources. Fungal inoculum, introduced into soil together with seed, can promote more robust plant growth through increasing plant uptake of nutrients and water, with plant robustness being of central importance in maintaining crop yields. Fungi are one of nature′s best candidates for the discovery of food ingredients, new drugs and antimicrobials. As fungi and their related biomolecules are increasingly characterized, they have turned into a subject of expanding significance. The metabolic versatility makes fungi interesting objects for a range of economically important food biotechnology and related applications. The potential of fungi for a more sustainable world must be realized to address global challenges of climate change, higher demands on natural resources.

    Abstract Due to a failure of communication, the connections among multi-agent system may switch extremely frequently. This paper focuses on the consensus of a multi-agent system with double-integrator dynamics in a generalized uniformly jointly connected switching network environment without dwell time. We prove that the distributed controller is robust against unreliable communication. The stability of the closed-loop system is proved by a virtual output technique and the generalized Krasovskii-LaSalle theorem. To validate the effectiveness of the proposed controller, a simulation example including a uniformly jointly connected network with dwell time and generalized uniformly jointly connected network without dwell time is presented.

    Abstract This paper introduces a new spherical motion generator and presents a method for modeling its magnetic field and analyzing its moments. The generator employs an electromagnetic drive of a spherical motor as its driving method and utilizes a spherical parallel manipulator to execute the spherical motion. The combination of these two technologies offers several advantages, including a large workspace and high motion accuracy. The equivalent magnetizing current method is used in the magnetic field modeling and the average air-gap flux density is optimized to achieve a better magnetic field distribution, and the accuracy of the analytical model is verified by finite element simulations and experiments.
