Abstract | This recording and transcript form part of a collection of oral history interviews conducted by the Chao Center for Asian Studies at Rice University. This collection includes audio recordings and transcripts of interviews with Asian Americans native to or living in Houston. This special oral history collection is created in response to COVID-19 that started in February 2020. Y. Ping Sun, a veteran community member of Houston Asian American Archive, who was interviewed back in 2011, returned to speak about her role in serving the community, updates on her life, and impact upon the Asian American community. Saluted by the Asian Chamber of Commerce for serving on the Greater Houston COVID-19 Recovery Fund’s Task Force, she is deeply involved with helping the Houston community. |
