Abstract Without taking into account existing biomarkers like genetic mutations (BRCA mutation, Homologous recombination deficiency) with advanced ovarian cancer (OC), the overall survival (OS), progress-free survival (PFS) of the aggregate all groups that have been classified were hazard ratio (HR): 0.72, 95% confidence intervals (CI): 0.66-0.79 and HR: 0.48, 95%CI: 0.44-0.52, respectively. Meanwhile, the OS and PFS of the whole population (regardless of existing genetic mutation markers) were HR: 0.74, 95%CI: 0.64-0.87 and HR: 0.52, 95%CI: 0.42-0.65, separately. Furthermore, the OS and PFS of positive gene mutation markers were HR: 0.71, 95%CI: 0.61-0.83 (HRD and BRACm) and HR: 0.47, 95%CI: 0.42-0.52 (HRD and BRACm), individually. The poly ADP-ribose polymers (PARP) inhibitors have desired efficiency and security in the maintenance treatment of advanced OC patients with BRCAm or BRCAwt, HRD or HRP and unknown gene status.

Abstract The growing demand for new energy vehicles (NEVs) has resulted in a corresponding increase in demand for cobalt as a critical material. It is crucial to estimate the cobalt resource recycling potential of China's NEV industry to ensure a balance between the supply and demand for cobalt metal minerals. This article is based on using the historical data of the new energy passenger vehicle (NEPV) sales volume from 2013 to 2022 to estimate the NEPV sales volume from 2023 to 2035. On this basis, the Weibull distribution was used to analyse the different sales scenarios (low sales and high sales) of NEPVs in China, and the recycling potential of cobalt metal in NEPVs was evaluated under three battery life scenarios (8, 10 and 12 years) from 2023 to 2035. Based on the above scenarios, in 2035, the greatest recycling potential of cobalt is predicted to be 166.9 kilotonnes, with economic values of CNY 49.01-94.60 billion. Moreover, the extent to which the recycling potential of cobalt can cover the market demand for NEPVs was analysed. Our analysis concluded that recycling cobalt as a secondary supply has emerged as a necessary solution to supplement the primary supply, which can make a significant contribution to alleviating the pressure of the supply and demand.

Abstract Background: Epidemiological studies have examined the relation between air pollution (NOx, NO
Methods: A novel two-sample Mendelian randomisation (MR) study used pooled data from a large-scale complete genome correlation study. The primary analysis method was inverse variance weighting (IVW), which explored the expose-outcome relationship for assessing single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) associated with air pollution. Further sensitivity analysis, including MR-PRESSO, MR-Egger regression, and leave-one analysis, was used to test the consistency of the results.
Results: There was a significant correlation between air pollution-related SNPs and APOs. A robust causal link was found between genetic susceptibility to air pollution and APOs.
Conclusions: Our MR analysis reveals a genetic causal relation between air pollution and APOs, which may help provide new insights into further mechanisms and clinical studies in air pollution-mediated APOs.

Abstract Abstract The association between pretreatment albumin-to-alkaline phosphatase ratio (AAPR) and clinicopathological parameters and prognosis in lung cancer is unclear. The study aimed to identify the clinical role of pretreatment AAPR among lung cancer patients. Several databases were searched for relevant studies. The primary outcome and secondary outcome were long-term survival including the overall survival (OS) and progression-free survival (PFS) and clinicopathological characteristics, respectively. The hazard ratios (HRs) and relative risks (RRs) with 95% confidence intervals (CIs) were combined. A total of 11 publications involving 10,589 participants were included in this meta-analysis. The pooled results manifested that a lower pretreatment AAPR predicted poorer OS (HR = 0.65, 95% CI 0.59–0.71, P < 0.001) and PFS (HR = 0.68, 95% CI 0.59–0.78, P < 0.001). Furthermore, subgroup analysis for the OS and PFS based on the pathological type and treatment showed similar results and pretreatment AAPR was significantly associated with worse prognosis. Besides, pretreatment AAPR was significantly associated with male (RR = 1.08, 95% CI 1.03–1.13, P < 0.001), poor differentiation (RR = 1.33, 95% CI 1.03–1.73, P = 0.029), advanced T stage (RR = 1.25, 95% CI 1.03–1.52, P = 0.026), N stage (RR = 1.34, 95% CI 1.15–1.55, P < 0.001) and TNM stage (RR = 1.14, 95% CI 1.06–1.223, P < 0.001). Therefore, pretreatment AAPR is significantly related to prognosis and tumor stage in lung cancer and patients with a lower pretreatment AAPR are more likely to experience poor survival and advanced tumor stage.

Abstract Elderly patients with multiple comorbidities often face complex cardiac challenges, including aortic valve issues and atrial septal defects. Traditional open-heart surgery may not be viable for this demographic. Transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) emerges as a preferred alternative. In this case, a frail patient with multiple comorbidities, atrial septal defect, and significant aortic stenosis and regurgitation underwent a one-stop procedure, combining TAVI and atrial septal defect closure, guided by advanced imaging, including three-dimensional ultrasound. Ultrasound played a pivotal role in the perioperative phase, offering precise screening and guidance. This innovative technique, minimizing surgical trauma and recovery time, significantly improved the patient's quality of life.

Abstract Line, plane and hyperplane detection in multidimensional data has many applications in computer vision and artificial intelligence. We propose Integrated Fast Hough Transform (IFHT), a highly-efficient multidimensional Hough transform algorithm based on a new mathematical model. The parameter space of IFHT can be represented with a single k-tree to support hierarchical storage and "coarse-to-fine" search strategy. IFHT essentially changes the least square data-fitting in Li's Fast Hough transform (FHT) to the total least squares data-fitting, in which observational errors across all dimensions are taken into account, thus more practical and more resistant to data noise. It has practically resolved the problem of decreased precision of FHT for target objects mapped to boundaries between accumulators in the parameter space. In addition, it enables a straightforward visualization of the parameter space which not only provides intuitive insight on the number of objects in the data, but also helps with tuning the parameters and combining multiple instances if needed. In all simulated data with different levels of noise and parameters, IFHT surpasses Li's Fast Hough transform in terms of robustness and precision significantly.

Abstract Background: Childhood maltreatment is a common problem that can have lasting effects on the physical and mental health of adolescents who have experienced it, including sleep quality.
Objective: This study will investigate the relationship between childhood maltreatment and sleep quality in adolescents using a weekly diary method.
Participants and setting: In this study, students from a middle school in central China were recruited as research subjects, and a total of 11 classes with 470 students were investigated.
Methods: In order to fill in the gaps of previous studies, a weekly diary method was used to collect data. Subjects were required to complete three scales once a week for seven consecutive weeks, including the Childhood Trauma Questionnaire (CTQ), the Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS), and the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index scale (PSQI).
Results: Findings suggest that childhood maltreatment has a negative impact on adolescent's sleep quality at the weekly level (γ
Conclusions: The present study has confirmed the negative correlation between childhood maltreatment and sleep quality in adolescents. Furthermore, it has clarified the mechanism of perceived social support and the separate mediating roles of perceived family support, perceived friend support, and perceived significant other support.
