Abstract A significant number of students use instant apps to translate documents to facilitate a successful learning process. The study aims to investigate the extent of utilization of GT by Yemeni students, examine their perceptions of using GT in their studies, and scrutinize the advantages and disadvantages of GT from their perspectives. This study employs a mixed method- quantitative and qualitative. The tools for data collection are a questionnaire and a semi-structured interview. The questionnaire is administered to 283 participants. The interview is presented to 20 students. A thematic analysis is used to analyse the obtained data. The study found that Yemeni students use GT at a low level (neutral) to learn the English language but they appreciate its bilingual speed. They also suggested combining machine and human translation for accurate and high-quality results. The study revealed no gender impact utilization of GT for learning the English language. It was noticed that diploma and bachelor's students have positive attitudes towards GT, while master's and PhD students are neutral. The responses of the participants showed the advantages of GT outperformed the disadvantages of GT. English language teachers should emphasize how to do MTPE and analyze GT defects. The research emphasized directing Yemeni EFL learners to machine translation's limitations, MT opportunities, types of texts to be translated, the difficulty of translating the implied meaning and potential inaccuracies.

Abstract Cervical cancer is a preventable cancer in the United States. We discuss a case of a 43-year-old woman who presented with signs and symptoms of Cerebrovascular accident (CVA) as well as shortness of breath and chest tightness. Upon investigation, it was concluded that she had developed multiple brain infarcts, pulmonary embolism, and deep venous thrombosis in both lower extremities. However, after her pulmonary symptoms worsened, further investigations revealed an uncommon occurrence of infiltrative lung metastasis. This finding was particularly surprising as she had recently been diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma of the cervix. It is important to note that patients who have not undergone regular cervical cancer screening can remain without symptoms until the disease has reached an advanced stage, as is the case with this patient. Various screening methods, such as Pap smear cytology, human papillomavirus (HPV) DNA testing, and visual inspection tests, are available to detect and prevent cervical cancer.

Abstract Obesity is the most common chronic condition in the United States (US), yet primary care physicians face barriers in providing obesity treatment. This study examines the prevalence of American Board of Obesity Medicine (ABOM) certified obesity specialists on the faculty of US Family Medicine residency training programmes, the preparedness of graduating resident physicians to treat obesity, and residency training programme director preferences for supporting faculty development to improve residency education in obesity management. This cross-sectional on-line survey of programme directors addressed the number of ABOM-certified faculty, perceived graduate preparedness to treat obesity, and priorities to improve faculty expertise and obesity curriculum. Of 672 eligible programme directors, 298 (44%) responded to our survey. Most programmes (76%) had no ABOM-certified faculty. The proportion of programme directors assessing their graduates as prepared to care for patients with obesity has significantly decreased in the last 5 years (2018: 74%, 2022: 58%, p = .016). Residents in programmes with ABOM-certified faculty member were more likely to be assessed as very prepared to provide medical care (18% vs. 7.8% p = .047). A majority (54%) of programme directors identified limited faculty training and expertise as the biggest faculty and resident-level barrier to quality obesity care. This study demonstrates an important trend towards increasing ABOM-certification among Family Medicine residency programme faculty and an urgent need to prioritise faculty development to improve faculty expertise and resident training to address the obesity epidemic.

Abstract Objective: During the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), individuals' compliance with protective behaviors was the most effective strategy to break the infection chain and prevent disease spread, even with vaccine availability and use. Understanding protective behaviors within the Jordanian context will shape health promotion campaigns and guide decision-makers to facilitate required resources and support Jordanian citizens. The objective of this study was to identify personal protective (preventive and avoidant) measures used by the Jordanian population during the COVID-19 pandemic to protect themselves from infection.
Methods: A cross-sectional study with an exploratory, descriptive design was used to collect data using an online self-reported questionnaire from Jordanian people. The survey included the Protection from Infection Scale and the Infection Avoidance Scale.
Results: A total sample of 1053 Jordanian citizens was included in the study. The participants exhibited a moderate level of self-care behaviors and high levels of protective and infection avoidance behaviors. Their most common behaviors were getting enough sleep, wearing masks, washing hands, and avoiding travel to infected areas. Contrariwise, the least adopted behaviors were exercising, wearing gloves, and leaving their jobs or schools.
Conclusions: During pandemics, policy-makers must understand public concerns and protective behaviors, then provide them with tailored education through health promotion campaigns to enhance healthy behaviors.

Abstract Background and objective: Early marriage is prevalent in Iraq, but the factors related to this behavior, especially people's attitudes about it, have not been well studied. It has been proven that early marriage seriously threatens young girls' lives and health. This study aimed to explore the perception of people about early marriage in the Iraqi Kurdistan region.
Methods: A qualitative method was employed to carry out this study in 2020. Data were collected through 16 focus group discussions in different health centers in Erbil, Iraq. Each focus group included 8-12 participants who had the experience of early marriage. The transcripts of the focus groups were analyzed through the six methodological activities of Van Manen. The trustworthiness of the data was confirmed by using qualitative data evaluation criteria.
Results: Different themes and subthemes regarding the ideal age of marriage, attitudes toward marriage, reasons for early marriage, advantages and disadvantages of early marriage, and practice of early marriage in the community emerged from focus group discussions. Most participants identified early marriage as inappropriate social behavior that should not be practiced. Reasons for early marriage included poor economic status, protection of girls and boys, low educational level, and respect for old traditions of the community. Divorce and violence against women were the main disadvantages of early marriage.
Conclusion: There is a generally negative attitude towards early marriage, and the practice's disadvantages and health and psychological consequences are well recognized in Iraqi Kurdistan Region. However, different social, traditional, economic, educational, and religious factors encourage early marriage in the region. Further research is recommended in other governorates in the area to have a more precise and representative idea about the topic.

Abstract BACKGROUND Direct oral anticoagulant (DOAC) agents, such as rivaroxaban, treat and prevent venous thrombosis. Although adrenal hemorrhage due to DOACs has previously been reported, this is a rare condition that can present as an emergency. In this case report, we present a 65-year-old man who recently had bilateral knee arthroplasty and was started on rivaroxaban 10 mg daily for deep vein thrombosis (DVT) prophylaxis following the surgery. CASE REPORT Ten days after bilateral knee arthroplasty and starting rivaroxaban, the patient presented to the Emergency Department with severe, sudden abdominal pain. Abdominal computed tomography detected significantly enlarged bilateral adrenals, with ill-defined heterogeneous density extending to the upper part of perinephric and paranephric spaces, suggesting bilateral adrenal hemorrhage. A cosyntropin stimulation test was used to confirm the suspicion of adrenal insufficiency. Cortisol levels were 66 nmol/L before stimulation and 83 nmol/L 60 min after cosyntropin administration. Hydrocortisone was started intravenously at a dose of 50 mg every 8 h. After his symptoms improved, he was discharged on oral hydrocortisone at 10 mg in the morning and 5 mg in the evening. Seven weeks after discharge, follow-up abdominal ultrasonography showed that the bilateral adrenal hemorrhage had resolved. CONCLUSIONS This case supports previous cases of adrenal hemorrhage as a rare but serious association with rivaroxaban and highlights the importance of rapid diagnosis using imaging and monitoring of patients for this possible adverse effect. Practitioners must remain vigilant when prescribing anticoagulation therapy, especially in patients who are at an increased risk for adrenal hemorrhage.

Abstract Gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs) are considered the most common mesenchymal tumors of the digestive system. However, they make up less than 1% of all GI tumors. GISTs arise from the interstitial cells of Cajal and are commonly found in the stomach and small intestine, and rarely in the colon and esophagus. In this case report, we present a 57-year-old male, a known diabetic, who complained of abdominal pain. He was diagnosed with cholelithiasis and a GIST in the jejunum, which was managed laparoscopically without complications. Most of the time, patients with GIST present with vague symptoms, or sometimes, they are asymptomatic. The most common symptoms are abdominal pain, GI bleeding, and an abdominal mass. These symptoms are usually related to the site of tumor growth, tumor size, and tumor rupture or perforation. Regardless of the tumor location, surgical excision is the gold standard for treating GISTs.

Abstract Objective: Thymic cysts are rare benign neck masses, accounting for less than 1% of all cervical masses. This study aims to discern different presentations, investigations, and treatment options of thymic cysts in adults by reviewing prior published studies from January 2010 to October 2021 to bridge the knowledge gap since the last review by Michalopoulos in 2011. Moreover, we present a case of a 28-year-old male with a left cervical thymic cyst.
Data sources: Data were obtained from a literature search using the ScienceDirect, PubMed, ResearchGate, and Google Scholar databases.
Methods and results: This study retrospectively analyzes reported cases of adult cervical thymic cysts by collecting demographic data, patient presentation, duration, location, size, type of imaging, fine-needle aspiration, and surgical approach. Eighteen patients were included. Cysts were seen on the left (n = 9), right (n = 5), and midline (n = 4). The age of the patients ranged from 19 to 64 years. Most patients present with painless left-sided neck swelling. Computed tomography (CT) was the preferred imaging modality in most cases. Moreover, surgical excision was essential for therapeutic and diagnostic purposes. This study did not require institutional review board approval.
Conclusion: Adult cervical thymic cyst is a rare etiology. Nevertheless, a painless left-sided neck mass with no clear lower border should uphold thymic cyst as a differential diagnosis. MRI and CT scans are the preferred imaging modalities for preoperative planning. Surgical excision is mandatory for treatment and histological confirmation. As of October 2021, around 54 cases of adult thymus cysts had been reported to the best of our knowledge and review.
