Abstract This study examined and compared the comprehension of Mandarin ditransitive constructions in children with developmental language disorder (DLD) and children with autism spectrum disorder plus language impairment (ALI). Eighteen children with DLD, 17 children with ALI, and 27 age-matched typically developing (TDA) children, participated in a sentence-picture matching task on four patterns of Mandarin ditransitive constructions. Both children with DLD and children with ALI received significantly lower accuracy than TDA children in general and their most common errors were thematic role reversals. However, while children with ALI evinced a generalized deficit in all four patterns, only the comprehension of S1 (Subj. + Vgei + IO + DO) and S3 (Subj. + gei + IO + V + DO) was affected in children with DLD, with that of S2 (Subj. + V + DO + gei + IO) and S4 (Subj. + V + IO + DO) preserved in this population. Additionally, thematic role reversal errors were more dominant in children with DLD than in children with ALI who also committed a relatively higher proportion of Wrong Theme and No Recipient errors. It is concluded that the primary deficit of children with DLD lies in representing dependent relationships between the arguments and the verb as involved in thematic role assignment, but this is less critical in children with ALI, with their performance on the comprehension task possibly also related to other factors associated with the condition. To enhance the development of ditransitive constructions, intervention efforts for children with DLD and children with ALI could focus on strengthening the connection between each argument and its thematic role.

Abstract Background: Hepatitis B virus-related decompensated cirrhosis (HBV-DC) is a critical illness with a low survival rate. Timely identification of prognostic indicators is crucial for risk stratification and personalized management of patients. The present study aimed to investigate the potential of the D-dimer-to-platelet count ratio (DPR) as a prognostic indicator for HBV-DC.
Methods: A retrospective review of medical records was conducted for 164 patients diagnosed with HBV-DC. Baseline clinical and laboratory characteristics were extracted for analysis. The endpoint was 30-day mortality. Disease severity was assessed by the Model for End-stage Liver Disease (MELD) score. A multivariate logistic regression model and receiver operating characteristic curve analysis (ROC) were used to evaluate the predictive value of DPR for mortality.
Results: During the 30-day follow-up period, 30 (18.3%) patients died. Non-survivors exhibited significantly higher DPR values than survivors, and a high DPR had a strong association with increased mortality. Importantly, DPR was identified as an independent risk factor for mortality in HBV-DC patients after adjustments for confounding factors (Odds ratio = 1.017; 95% Confidence interval, 1.006-1.029; p = 0.003). The cut-off value of DPR as a predictor of mortality was>57.6 (sensitivity = 57%, specificity = 86%, p < 0.001). The area under ROC curve for DPR for 30-day mortality was 0.762, comparable to the MELD score (p = 0.100). Furthermore, the combined use of DPR and MELD score further increased the area under the ROC curve to 0.897.
Conclusion: Elevated DPR was demonstrated to have a correlation with unfavorable outcomes in HBV-DC patients, suggesting its potential utility as an effective biomarker for assessment of prognosis in these patients.

Abstract RNA splicing is an essential process involved in many aspects of cell proliferation, survival and differentiation, and given the importance of RNA splicing in gene regulation, alterations in this biological behavior have been associated with many human cancers. BUD13 as an RNA binding protein (RBP) has been sparsely studied in tumors; consequently, there is a compelling need to further investigate the expression profile of BUD13 in human cancers to provide new molecular clues for the pathogenesis of hepatocellular carcinoma. For this porpuse, we used a series of bioinformatics methods to synthesize the relationship between BUD13 and prognosis, tumor microenvironment (TME), immune infiltration, tumor mutational load (TMB), and microsatellite instability (MSI), and tried to find the potential biological processes of BUD13 in tumors by GSEA and GSVA. And the association between the expression of BUD13 gene and prognosis was predicted by constructing a nomogram of hepatocellular carcinoma by multifactorial regression model. Results showed tgat in the present study, we found that elevated expression of BUD13 is associated with poorer OS in a numerous cancers, including ACC, KIRC, LGG, LIHC, READ, THYM, and UCS.More importantly, BUD13 expression levels were also significantly correlated with TME. Our results also indicated that BUD13 expression was closely associated with Pyroptosis genes and immune-related genes. Furthermore, BUD13 expression was associated with TMB, MSI and antitumor drug sensitivity in various cancer types. Functional bioinformatics analysis indicated that BUD13 may be involved in multiple signaling pathways and biological processes in hepatocellular carcinoma. Based on BUD13 expression, a risk factor model was found to predict OS in hepatocellular carcinoma. In conclusion, overall this study suggests that BUD13 expression is associated with poor prognosis and may be involved in the development and progression of hepatocellular carcinoma, which may be further explored as a potential prognostic marker and new targeted therapy.

Abstract Resource-based regions support national economic development and are essential sources of basic energy and raw materials. In the post-pandemic era, however, there are practical situations to deal with, such as a fractured industrial chain, a weaker industrial structure, and a sharp reduction in economic benefits. Based on data collected from 68 cities in China, from 2010 to 2021, with 816 observations, this paper explores the industrial development process of resource-based regions in China and the change in the toughness of the industrial structure under the impact of COVID-19. The paper studies and analyzes industrial development trends, industrial structure toughness, and spatial spillover effects. The methods used are the Markov chain model and the Industrial Structure Advancement Index. By building the spatial Dubin model, the paper analyzes the spatial spillover effect of regional industrial development. It decomposes the spillover effect using the partial differential model based on regression. The results show that, during the study period, the comprehensive development level of industries in resource-based regions in China was slowly improving and tended to stabilize after entering the post-pandemic era. The evolution of an advanced industrial structure is significantly heterogeneous among regions, and each region has different toughness. The impact of COVID-19 has reduced the toughness of China's resource-based regions' industrial structure. The spatial spillover effect of regional industrial development is significant. Labor force, technology input, and industrial-structure optimization have different impacts on the industrial development of neighboring regions. In the post-pandemic era, China has used new management methods for more innovation. In order to achieve low-carbon, environmental protection, and sustainable development of resources, realize the rapid recovery of the toughness of industrial structure in China's resource-based cities, and reduce the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, China proposes to expand the supply of resources, improve the allocation of resources, optimize the direction, promote the rational flow and efficient aggregation of various factors, and enhance the impetus for innovation and development.

Abstract Background and aims: The high prevalence of internet addiction (IA) has become a worldwide problem that profoundly affects people's mental health and executive function. Empirical studies have suggested trait anxiety (TA) as one of the most robust predictors of addictive behaviors. The present study investigated the neural and socio-psychological mechanisms underlying the association between TA and IA.
Methods: Firstly, we tested the correlation between TA and IA. Then we investigated the longitudinal influence of TA on IA using a linear mixed effect (LME) model. Secondly, connectome-based predictive modeling (CPM) was employed to explore neuromarkers of TA, and we tested whether the identified neuromarkers of TA can predict IA. Lastly, stressful life events and default mode network (DMN) were considered as mediating variables to explore the relationship between TA and IA.
Findings: A significant positive correlation between TA and IA was found and the high TA group demonstrated higher IA across time. CPM results revealed that the functional connectivity of cognitive control and emotion-regulation circuits and DMN were significantly correlated with TA. Furthermore, a significant association was found between the neuromarkers of TA and IA. Notably, the CPM results were all validated in an independent sample. The results of mediation demonstrated that stressful life events and correlated functional connectivity mediated the association between TA and IA.
Conclusions: Findings of the present study facilitate a deeper understanding of the neural and socio-psychological mechanisms linking TA and IA and provide new directions for developing neural and psychological interventions.

Abstract Cholangiocarcinoma, classified as intrahepatic, perihilar, and extrahepatic, is considered a deadly malignancy of the hepatobiliary system. Most cases of cholangiocarcinoma are asymptomatic. Therefore, early detection of cholangiocarcinoma is significant but still challenging. The routine screening of a tumor lacks specificity and accuracy. With the application of AI, high-risk patients can be easily found by analyzing their clinical characteristics, serum biomarkers, and medical images. Moreover, AI can be used to predict the prognosis including recurrence risk and metastasis. Although they have some limitations, AI algorithms will still significantly improve many aspects of cholangiocarcinoma in the medical field with the development of computing power and technology.

Abstract Colorectal cancer is the third most common malignant tumor, with highly invasive and metastatic potential in the later stage. This study investigated the role of PKN2 overexpression and M2-polarized macrophages in dictating the malignant phenotype of colorectal cancer cells. HCT116 colorectal cancer cell line with PKN2 overexpression was generated to investigate the functional role of PKN2. THP-1 cells were polarized into M2-like macrophages, and the co-culture system of THP-1/M2 cells and HCT116 cells was established to examine the impacts of M2-polairzed macrophages on the malignant phenotype of colorectal cancer cells. PKN2 overexpression promoted cell proliferation, migration and invasion in HCT116 colorectal cancer cells, and reduced spontaneous cell death in the cell culture. Besides, the presence of M2-polarized THP-1 cells significantly enhanced the aggressive phenotype of HCT116 cells. Both PKN2 overexpression and M2-polarized THP-1 cells increased the expression of NF-κB p65 in HCT116 cells, indicating that enhanced NF-κB signaling may contribute to the augmented aggressiveness of HCT116 cells. These findings suggest PKN2 as an oncogenic factor in colorectal cancer and that M2-polarized THP-1 cells may promote the progression of colorectal cancer by activating NF-κB signaling.

Abstract 2D transition metal carbides and/or nitrides, MXenes, are a class of widely studied materials with great potential for energy storage applications. The control of surface chemistry is an effective approach for preparing novel MXenes and modifying their electrochemical properties. However, an in-depth and systematic atomic-scale study of the effect of surface termination on MXene stability and electrochemical performance is scarce and thus is highly desired. Here, through high-throughput first-principles calculations, 28 stable chalcogen-functionalized M
