Abstract Introduction: The aim of this study was to form the Turkish adaptation of the SCOPA-SleepScale to be used in evaluating sleep quality in individuals with Parkinson's disease and to test its psychometric properties.
Method: Data for this methodological study was collected between May and December 2017 in the neurology outpatient clinic of a hospital through face to face interviews with patients with a diagnosis of Parkinson's disease. The sample of the study consisted of 105 patients of 18 years of age and above with no additional neurological diseases who volunteered for the study. The SCOPA Sleep Scale was translated into Turkish through translation and back translation, and expert views were taken to test content validity. The reliability analyses of the scale were performed using item- total score correlations, test-retest correlations, and internal consistency. Exploratory factor analyses were conducted for construct validity and the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) and Epworth Sleepiness Scale (ESS) were applied for criterion validity. The appropriateness of data for factor analysis was examined using the Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin (KMO) and Bartlett's tests.
Results: The factor loads of the SCOPA Sleep Scale varied between 0.743 and 0.901, and the Turkish version of the scale exhibited a two factor structure in compliance with the original scale. The Cronbach`s alpha coefficient was found 0.907 for the nighttime sleep sub-dimension and 0.906 for the daytime sleepiness sub-dimension. In the test-retest evaluation, a correlation of 0.948 was obtained in the nighttime sleep sub-dimension of the scale and a correlation of 0.956 was obtainedin the daytime sleepiness sub-dimension of the scale. The nighttime sleep sub-dimension of the scale showed a positive correlation with PSQI, while the daytime sleepiness sub-dimension showed a positive correlation with ESS.
Conclusion: The Turkish form of the SCOPA Sleep Scale is a valid and reliable tool to evaluate the sleep quality of individuals with Parkinson's disease.

Abstract Aim: To evaluate the contribution of Turkish scientists to four journals published by Journal of Neurosurgery (JNS) Publishing Group and to Acta Neurochirurgica (AN) and to its Supplement (ANS).
Material and methods: We reviewed every issue of those journals to December 2015 for the total number of articles, articles produced from studies performed entirely in Turkey, and for publications overseas co-authored by the Turkish scientists using the websites of these journals. Citations were searched using "Web of Science" and "Google Scholar" databases.
Results: The total number of articles published was 19822 for JNS, 3227 for JNS Spine, 2526 for JNS Pediatrics and 2997 for Neurosurgical Focus. Turkish contribution was 556 articles. 337 (60.61%) articles were the products of studies performed entirely in Turkey, while 219 (39.38%) articles came from overseas, co-authored by Turkish scientists. Overall contribution was 1.94%. A total of 6469 articles were published in AN. 340 papers were the products of studies performed entirely in Turkey. Turkish scientists working overseas co-authored 37 articles. Total contribution was 377 articles (5.82%). 4134 papers had been published in ANS. Contribution was 69 articles (1.66%).
Conclusion: Turkish contribution to these journals has started late. The gap has been compensated with publications in the last two decades. Manuscripts of higher scientific level with greater number of citations are needed to increase Turkish contribution to such journals.

Abstract Polatuzumab vedotin (Pola) with bendamustine and rituximab (BR) is a promising option for patients with relapsed/refractory (R/R) diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL). We analyzed the data of 71 R/R DLBCL patients who had been treated with Pola-BR in the named patient program from March 2018 to April 2021 from 32 centers in Turkey. All patients received up to six cycles of Pola 1.8 mg/kg, rituximab 375 mg/m

Abstract Purpose: To make dosimetric comparisons of volumetric-modulated arc therapy (VMAT) and 7-field intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT) with dynamic MLCs using the Monaco treatment planning system with Monte Carlo algorithm.
Materials and methods: Single-arc VMAT and 7-field IMRT treatment plans were compared for 12 intermediate risk prostate cancer patients treated with prostate and seminal vesicle radiotherapy. For all patients, the prescribed dose was 78 Gy delivered in 39 fractions. The dosimetric data of IMRT and VMAT plans with 6, 10 and 15 MV energies were compared. The comparison was made for target volume, organs at risk (OAR) doses, and for monitor units (MU).
Results: The normal tissue surrounding the target were lower in VMAT plans compared to IMRT plans. VMAT plans achieved lower doses to all OARs for nearly all dosimetric endpoints. VMAT plans achieved 9.4, 9.0 and 7.0 % relative decrease in MUs required for RT delivery, for 6, 10 and 15 MV energy levels, respectively. The target volume and OAR dosimetric values did not differ significantly between 6, 10 and 15 MV photon energies.
Conclusion: VMAT plans were found to be dosimetrically equivalent to IMRT plans for prostate cancer patients, with better rectum and bladder sparing and fewer MUs required.
