Abstract Objective: To explore the therapeutic effect on incomplete eyelid in the patients with facial neuritis treated with the penetrating needling at Cuanzhu (BL2) and Yuyao (EX-HN4) combined with the perpendicular needling at Shenmai (BL62).
Methods: A total of 64 patients with facial neuritis, in compliance with the inclusion criteria, were randomized into a treatment group and a control group, with 32 cases in each. In the treatment group, the penetrating needling was applied to BL2 and EX-HN4 on the affected side, combined with the perpendicular needling at bilateral BL62. Besides, on the affected side, the penetrating needling was applied from Yangbai (GB14) toward four directions, named Shangxing (GV23), Touwei (ST8), Cuanzu (BL2) and Sizukong (TE23), the mutual penetrating needling was adopted between Dicang (ST4) and Jiache (ST6). Between Yingxiang (LI20) and Xiaguan (ST7), a row-arranged needling technique was applied. All of the needles were retained for 10 to 30 min in each treatment. The treatment was given once daily and the treatment for 10 days was as 1 course. A total of 2 courses of treatment were required. In the control group, prednisone acetate (30 mg/d), was administered consecutively for 5 days. Afterward, the dose was reduced to be 10 mg/d and the medication stopped after taking consecutively for 1 week. Muscular injection with vitamin B
Results: The total effective rate of treatment group was 96.9 % (31/32), better than 84.4%(27/32) in the control group (
Conclusion: The treatment with the penetrating needling at Cuanzhu (BL2) and Yuyao (EX-HN4) combined with the perpendicular needling at Shenmai (BL62) greatly promotes the recovery of orbicularis oculi muscle in the patients with facial neuritis, reduces the complications and presents the satisfactory clinical effect.

Abstract Remote sensing is recognized as a valuable tool for flood mapping due to its synoptic view and continuous coverage of the flooding event. This paper proposed a hybrid approach based on multiple endmember spectral analysis (MESMA) and Random Forest classifier to extract inundated areas in Yuyao City in China using medium resolution optical imagery. MESMA was adopted to tackle the mixing pixel problem induced by medium resolution data. Specifically, 35 optimal endmembers were selected to construct a total of 3111 models in the MESMA procedure to derive accurate fraction information. A multi-dimensional feature space was constructed including the normalized difference water index (NDWI), topographical parameters of height, slope, and aspect together with the fraction maps. A Random Forest classifier consisting of 200 decision trees was adopted to classify the post-flood image based on the above multi-features. Experimental results indicated that the proposed method can extract the inundated areas precisely with a classification accuracy of 94% and a Kappa index of 0.88. The inclusion of fraction information can help improve the mapping accuracy with an increase of 2.5%. Moreover, the proposed method also outperformed the maximum likelihood classifier and the NDWI thresholding method. This research provided a useful reference for flood mapping using medium resolution optical remote sensing imagery.

Abstract RNA-binding proteins (RBPs) can interact with RNAs to regulate RNA translation, modification, splicing, and other important biological processes. The accurate identification of RBPs is of paramount importance for gaining insights into the intricate mechanisms underlying organismal life activities. Traditional experimental methods to predict RBPs require a lot of time and money, so it is important to develop computational methods to predict RBPs. However, the existing approaches for RBP prediction still require further improvement due to unidentified RBPs in many species. In this study, we present Seq-RBPPred (predicting RBPs from sequence), a novel method that utilizes a comprehensive feature representation encompassing both biophysical properties and hidden-state features derived from protein sequences. In the results, comprehensive performance evaluations of Seq-RBPPred its superiority compare with state-of-the-art methods, yielding impressive performance including 0.922 for overall accuracy, 0.926 for sensitivity, 0.903 for specificity, and Matthew's correlation coefficient (MCC) of 0.757 as ascertained from the evaluation of the testing set. The data and code of Seq-RBPPred are available at https://github.com/yaoyao-11/Seq-RBPPred.

Abstract Aim: The combination of granulocyte-colony stimulating factor (G-CSF) and plerixafor is one of the approaches for hematopoietic stem cell mobilization in patients with multiple myeloma (MM), non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL), and Hodgkin's lymphoma (HL). This systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to determine the ability of G-CSF + plerixafor to mobilize peripheral blood (PB) CD34+ cells and examine its safety profile.
Methods: We performed a database search using the terms 'granulocyte colony stimulating factor', 'G-CSF', 'AMD3100', and 'plerixafor', published up to May 1, 2023. The methodology is described in further detail in the PROSPERO database (CRD42023425760).
Results: Twenty-three studies were included in this systematic review and meta-analysis. G-CSF + plerixafor resulted in more patients achieving the predetermined apheresis yield of CD34+ cells than G-CSF alone (OR, 5.33; 95%, 4.34-6.55). It was further discovered that G-CSF + plerixafor could mobilize more CD34+ cells into PB, which was beneficial for the next transplantation in both randomized controlled (MD, 18.30; 95%, 8.74-27.85) and single-arm (MD, 20.67; 95%, 14.34-27.00) trials. Furthermore, G-CSF + plerixafor did not cause more treatment emergent adverse events than G-CSF alone (OR, 1.25; 95%, 0.87-1.80).
Conclusions: This study suggests that the combination of G-CSF and plerixafor, resulted in more patients with MM, NHL, and HL, achieving the predetermined apheresis yield of CD34+ cells, which is related to the more effective mobilization of CD34+ cells into PB.

Abstract The digital economy is fundamentally altering human productivity and lifestyles, gradually becoming a new engine that drives energy technology transformation and optimizes the energy consumption structure. This paper examines the impact of the digital economy on upgrading the energy consumption structure using panel data from 30 Chinese provinces from 2013 to 2019. The empirical findings indicate that the digital economy’s development can help to improve energy consumption structure, and this impact can have a threshold effect. Heterogeneity analysis reveals that upgrading the energy consumption structure affected by the digital economy is more significant in lower digital divide regions, the eastern and central regions, and provinces with high economic development levels. Moreover, the findings of a mechanism analysis demonstrate that the digital economy primarily influences green technology innovation, and government environmental regulation affects the major upgrades of the energy consumption structure.
