    Abstract Background: The heart's electrical activity has been the subject of numerous research concerning various physiological parameters. The frontal QRS-T angle (FQRST) is an advanced ECG variable with clinical epidemiological utility. This study aimed to determine the relationship between FQRST and physical activity exposure among young adults.
    Methods: We recorded the ECG with 12 leads of 124 participants (mean age 20.28 ± 2.23 years, age range 18-27 years). Next, we measured their physical activity level (PAL) with the International Physical Activity Questionnaire-Short Form (IPAQ), which categorizes activity into three classes: low, moderate, or high.
    Results: An inferential analysis, based on the Kruskal-Wallis H test and Mann-Whitney U test, revealed a statistically significant difference in FQRST between the three groups of subjects, classified by their PAL (
    Conclusions: The physical activity regime of young adults significantly influences the concordance between ventricular depolarization and repolarization, reflected in the FQRST's width. Also, we found a regression model between FQRST and BMI with statistical significance.

    Abstract (1) Background: This study investigated the relationship between weather conditions, diurnal patterns, and total knee range of motion (ROM), as well as the severity of symptoms (pain and stiffness) in older adults with knee osteoarthritis. (2) Methods: An exploratory longitudinal study was conducted on 28 older adults with knee osteoarthritis (mean age 71.86 ± 4.49 years; 46.4% men, 53.6% women). We used as assessment tools the Visual Analog Scales (VAS) for self-reported local knee pain and stiffness, and goniometry for ROM. Measurements were taken twice, six months apart, in winter and summer, in the morning and evening of each selected day. Recorded weather factors comprised temperature, relative humidity, barometric pressure, and maximum wind speed.     Abstract (1) Background: This research aims to compare social networks among institutionalized and aging-in-place (AIP) older adults through the validation of a new questionnaire. (2) Methods: The cross-sectional study included 100 older adults (mean age: 73.53 ± 5.49 years; age range: 65-85 years), with 48 institutionalized subjects and 52 AIP subjects. We developed, validated, and administered a new questionnaire, the Social Network Assessment for Older People Questionnaire (SNAOPQ), to assess older adults' social networks using descriptive and inferential statistical methods. (3) Results: The SNAOPQ demonstrated excellent internal consistency (Cronbach's alpha of 0.91 and McDonald's omega of 0.91). The frontal QRS-T angle (FQRST) is an advanced ECG variable with clinical epidemiological utility. This study aimed to determine the relationship between FQRST and physical activity exposure among young adults.     Abstract This study aimed to determine the correlation between body composition (measured as weight, body mass index, and body fat percentage (BFP)) and electrocardiographic ventricular parameters (the QT and TQ intervals and the ratios between the electrical diastole and electrical systole (TQ/QT) and between the cardiac cycle and electrical diastole (RR/TQ), both for uncorrected and corrected intervals) in a sample of 50 healthy subjects (age interval 19-23 years, mean age 21.27 ± 1.41 years, 33 women and 17 men). Subjects' measurements were performed with a bioimpedancemetry body composition analyzer and a portable ECG monitor with six leads. Starting from the correlations obtained between the investigated continuous variables, we performed a standard linear regression analysis between the body composition parameters and the ECG ones. Our results revealed that some of our regression models are statistically significant (

    Abstract (1) Background: This study investigated the relationship between weather conditions, diurnal patterns, and total knee range of motion (ROM), as well as the severity of symptoms (pain and stiffness) in older adults with knee osteoarthritis. (2) Methods: An exploratory longitudinal study was conducted on 28 older adults with knee osteoarthritis (mean age 71.86 ± 4.49 years; 46.4% men, 53.6% women). We used as assessment tools the Visual Analog Scales (VAS) for self-reported local knee pain and stiffness, and goniometry for ROM. Measurements were taken twice, six months apart, in winter and summer, in the morning and evening of each selected day. Recorded weather factors comprised temperature, relative humidity, barometric pressure, and maximum wind speed. (3) Results: The study revealed significant effects of season and time of day on pain and stiffness, respectively ( p < 0.001). Additionally, a significant interaction between season and time influenced total knee ROM ( p < 0.001). Moreover, there was a statistically significant relationship between time and total knee ROM ( p < 0.001). (4) Conclusions: This research underscores the complex link between seasonal fluctuations and daily variations in some symptomatic and functional aspects of knee osteoarthritis in older adults.

Our results revealed that some of our regression models are statistically significant ( p < 0.001). Thus, a specific part of the variability of the dependent variables (ECG ventricular activity parameters for corrected QT intervals) is explained by the independent variable BFP. Therefore, body composition influences ventricular electrical activity in young adults, which implies a differentiated interpretation of the electrocardiogram in these situations.

    Abstract Background: This study examines how socio-demographic factors relate to post-pandemic physical activity patterns among Romanian adults. Methods: A cross-sectional study explores post-COVID-19 physical activity levels (PAL) and their correlation with socio-demographic factors in Romanian adults ( n = 237, average age 28.23 ± 9.91 years). An online questionnaire covering constitutional, socio-demographic, and physical activity-related variables was administered for data collection. Data analysis involves descriptive and inferential statistics, including Kendall’s tau correlation, along with multinomial regression analyses. Results: Noteworthy correlations emerged, including a robust association ( r = 0.79, p < 0.001) between testing and history of clinical signs of COVID-19; a significant moderate correlation between health status and PAL compared to the period before the pandemic (τ = 0.56, p < 0.001); and significant moderate correlation between health status and current PAL (τ = −0.51, p < 0.001). Multinomial regression underscores an intricate relationship; testing for COVID-19 relates to clinical sign severity, health status changes influence post-pandemic PAL, and self-perceived health associates with current PAL ( p < 0.001). Conclusions: Revealing significant links between PAL and socio-demographic factors among adults in Romania’s post-pandemic landscape, this study emphasizes the interaction between health changes and activity involvement. It also highlights the potential to guide interventions for rehabilitation and healthier living.
