Abstract Heavy metal pollution is a major concern in China because of its serious effects on human health. To assess potential human health and ecological risks of heavy metal pollution, concentration data for seven heavy metals (As, Pb, Cd, Cr, Hg, Cu, Zn) from 14 sites spanning the rural-urban interface of the Wen-Rui Tang River watershed in southeast China were collected from 2000 to 2010. The heavy metal pollution index (HPI), hazard index (HI) and carcinogenic risk (CR) metrics were used to assess potential heavy metal risks. Further, we evaluated the uncertainty associated with the risk assessment indices using Monte Carlo analysis. Results indicated that all HPI values were lower than the critical level of 100 suggesting that heavy metal levels posed acceptable ecological risks; however, one site having an industrial point-source input reached levels of 80-97 on several occasions. Heavy metal concentrations fluctuated over time, and the decrease after 2007 is due to increased wastewater collection. The HI suggested low non-carcinogenic risk throughout the study period (HI < 1); however, nine sites showed CR values above the acceptable level of 10

Results indicated that all HPI values were lower than the critical level of 100 suggesting that heavy metal levels posed acceptable ecological risks; however, one site having an industrial point-source input reached levels of 80–97 on several occasions. Heavy metal concentrations fluctuated over time, and the decrease after 2007 is due to increased wastewater collection. The HI suggested low non-carcinogenic risk throughout the study period (HI < 1); however, nine sites showed CR values above the acceptable level of 10−4 for potential cancer risk from arsenic in the early 2000s. Uncertainty analysis revealed an exposure risk for As at all sites because some CR values exceeded the 10−4 level of concern; levels of Cd near an old industrial area also exceeded the Cd exposure standard (2.6% of CR values > 10−4). While most metrics for human health risk did not exceed critical values for heavy metals, there is still a potential human health risk from chronic exposure to low heavy metal concentrations due to long-term exposure and potential metal interactions. Results of this study inform water pollution remediation and management efforts designed to protect public health in polluted urban area waterways common in rapidly developing regions.

Abstract Water quality degradation in river systems has caused great concerns all over the world. Identifying the spatial distribution and sources of water pollutants is the very first step for efficient water quality management. A set of water samples collected bimonthly at 12 monitoring sites in 2009 and 2010 were analyzed to determine the spatial distribution of critical parameters and to apportion the sources of pollutants in Wen-Rui-Tang (WRT) river watershed, near the East China Sea. The 12 monitoring sites were divided into three administrative zones of urban, suburban, and rural zones considering differences in land use and population density. Multivariate statistical methods [one-way analysis of variance, principal component analysis (PCA), and absolute principal component score-multiple linear regression (APCS-MLR) methods] were used to investigate the spatial distribution of water quality and to apportion the pollution sources. Results showed that most water quality parameters had no significant difference between the urban and suburban zones, whereas these two zones showed worse water quality than the rural zone. Based on PCA and APCS-MLR analysis, urban domestic sewage and commercial/service pollution, suburban domestic sewage along with fluorine point source pollution, and agricultural nonpoint source pollution with rural domestic sewage pollution were identified to the main pollution sources in urban, suburban, and rural zones, respectively. Understanding the water pollution characteristics of different administrative zones could put insights into effective water management policy-making especially in the area across various administrative zones.

Abstract Background: To evaluate the effect and toxicity of the domestic product of rhG-CSF (Rui Xue Xin) in preventing leukopenia caused by chemotherapy in patients with lung cancer.
Methods: 67 patients in multicenter were randomly devided into AB group and BA group. The first cycle was a trial cycle (chemotherapy plus injection of Rui Xue Xin) , and the second cycle was a control cycle (chemotherapy alone) in AB group. On the contrast , the first cycle was a control cycle , and the second cycle was a trial cycle in BA group. The changes of white blood cell (WBC) and absolute neutrophil counts (ANC) , and the side effect of Rui Xue Xin were observed and compared between the trial cycle and control cycle.
Results: Of the 67 patients , 6 cases were out of the trial because of patient compliance , and the another one case due to fever , and the other 61 cases could be used to analyze and to evaluate the effects and toxicity of Rui Xue Xin. The duration of leukopenia and neutropenia in cycle A was significantly shorter than that in cycle B ( P < 0. 01) . The nadirs of WBC and ANC following chemotherapy were remarkably higher in cycle A than those in cycle B ( P < 0. 01) . The incidence of chemotherapy delay due to WBC < 4. 0 *109 /L on the 21st day after chemotherapy in cycle A was also significantly lower than that in cycle B ( P < 0. 01) . The total rate of side effects of Rui Xue Xin was 26. 2 % , including pain and scleroma on the injection sites , weakness , fever. But , all of them were mild and didn't need to give any treatment.
Conclusions: The results demonstrate that Rui Xue Xin is able to reduce the degree of leukopenia and neutropenia , and to shorten the duration of leukopenia and neutropenia caused by chemotherapy in patients with lung cancer. The toxicity is also slight.

Abstract Background: The COVID-19 pandemic accelerated the transition to remote preschool education, highlighting the crucial role of preschool teachers in navigating pedagogical transformations, adapting to technology, and addressing the challenges of distance learning.
Objective: This study delved into the intricate challenges confronted by educators specializing in early childhood education within the realm of remote instruction during the COVID-19 pandemic. Additionally, it scrutinized a spectrum of tactics and interventions implemented to overcome the challenges, presenting nuanced insights to enhance the effectiveness of online pedagogy.
Methods: Conducting a systematic literature review, this study comprehensively analysed academic sources to synthesize challenges faced by preschool teachers and their adaptive strategies during the transition to remote instruction induced by the COVID-19. The investigation focused on online teaching strategies, COVID-19 implications, and the broader landscape of remote learning.
Results: The review illuminated intricate challenges, encompassing technological constraints, pedagogical adjustments, and psychological adaptations. These challenges compelled the deployment of a diverse range of strategies, underscoring educators' resilience and resourcefulness in maintaining vibrant online teaching and learning ecosystems.
Conclusion: This study offers a valuable compendium of insights, providing a comprehensive view of the evolving landscape of remote pedagogy. By fostering a nuanced understanding of the challenges and strategies, educators, administrators, and policymakers can collaboratively devise informed interventions. This collaborative effort optimizes online teaching practices, fostering enriched learning outcomes within the digital epoch.

Abstract Abstract This paper shows the construction of a performance evaluation system for the inheritance of traditional sports intangible cultural inheritors. In order to ensure the scientific nature and rationality of the indicators, a theoretical model of performance evaluation content is first established. Then, based on the theoretical model, the preliminary selection of indicators is completed, and then the expert screening of indicators is further completed by Delphi method, and the weights of each indicator are established through analytic hierarchy. Finally, in order to verify the application effect of the indicator system in practice, this study conducts an empirical study on the system from the perspective of regional performance evaluation. The results show that the discriminating power and applicability of the evaluation indicator are effective, and the evaluation system has a very distinct epochal and people-centered character. In conclusion, the construction of this evaluation system is of great significance to improve the scientific and standardized level of evaluation of Intangible cultural heritage inheritors.
