Abstract Ethnopharmacological relevance: Yu-Ping-Feng-San (YPF) is a traditional Chinese medicine formula that has therapeutic effects on allergic diseases such as allergic rhinitis and asthma. However, its potential efficacy and mechanism in the treatment of atopic dermatitis (AD) has not been extensively illustrated.
Aim of the study: The purpose of this study was to investigate the efficacy and possible mechanisms of YPF in AD pathogenesis.
Methods: Network pharmacology and GEO data mining were adopted to firstly identify the potential mechanisms of YPF on AD. Then DNCB induced-AD murine model was established to test the efficacy of YPF and verify its effects on inflammatory cytokines and NF-κB pathway. In addition, molecular docking was performed to detect the binding affinity of YPF's active components with NF-κB pathway related molecules.
Results: Network pharmacology and human data mining suggested that YPF may act on the NF-κB pathway in AD pathogenesis. With DNCB mice model, we found that YPF significantly improved AD symptoms, reduced SCORAD scores, and alleviated skin tissue inflammation in mice. At the same time, the expression of inflammatory cytokines, TNF-α, sPLA2-IIA and IL-6, was down-regulated. Moreover, YPF suppressed TLR4/MyD88/NF-κB pathway in situ in a dose-dependent manner. Molecular docking further confirmed that seven compounds in YPF had exceptional binding properties with TNF-α, IL-6 and TLR4.
Conclusion: YPF may help the recovery of AD by inhibiting the TLR4/MyD88/NF-κB pathway, which provides novel insights for the treatment of AD by YPF.

Abstract Because of the overwhelming characteristics of computer vision technology, the trend of intelligent upgrading in sports industry is obvious. Video technical and tactical data extraction, big data analysis, and match assistance systems have caused profound changes to all aspects of the sports industry. One of the important applications is the playback and analysis of sports videos. People can observe the videos and summarize the experience of sports matches, and in this process, people prefer the computers to also interpret and analyze sports matches, which can not only help coaches in postmatch analysis but also design robots to assist in teaching and training. In this paper, we have examined and designed an automatic detection system for ping pong balls, in which the motion trajectory and rotation information of ping pong balls are mainly detected. To achieve this goal, the detection and tracking algorithm of ping pong balls based on deep neural network is used, and better results are achieved on the data set established by ourselves and the actual system test. After obtaining the position of the ping pong ball in the image, the rotation direction and speed of the ping pong ball are calculated next, and the Fourier transform-based speed measurement method and the CNN-based rotation direction detection method are implemented, which achieve better results in the testing of lower speed datasets. Finally, this paper proposes an LSTM-based trajectory prediction algorithm to lay the foundation for the design of table tennis robot by predicting the trajectory of table tennis. Experimental tests show that the proposed system can better handle the ping pong ball tracking and rotation measurement problems.

Abstract Pachytene piRNA biogenesis is a hallmark of the germline, distinct from another wave of pre-pachytene piRNA biogenesis with regard to the lack of a secondary amplification process known as the Ping-pong cycle. However, the underlying molecular mechanism and the venue for the suppression of the Ping-pong cycle remain elusive. Here, we showed that a testis-specific protein, ADAD2, interacts with a TDRD family member protein RNF17 and is associated with P-bodies. Importantly, ADAD2 directs RNF17 to repress Ping-pong activity in pachytene piRNA biogenesis. The P-body localization of RNF17 requires the intrinsically disordered domain of ADAD2. Deletion of Adad2 or Rnf17 causes the mislocalization of each other and subsequent Ping-pong activity derepression, secondary piRNAs overproduced, and disruption of P-body integrity at the meiotic stage, thereby leading to spermatogenesis arrested at the round spermatid stage. Collectively, by identifying the ADAD2-dependent mechanism, our study reveals a novel function of P-bodies in suppressing Ping-pong activity in pachytene piRNA biogenesis.

Abstract Polysaccharides, one of the important active ingredients of traditional Chinese herbal medicine, become a focus of attention in many fields, particularly in medical research industry. Yu-Ping-Feng (YPF) is a primary component of many traditional Chinese medicine prescriptions, and it’s proven to be significantly beneficial to human health. In recent years, polysaccharides from YPF have been well documented after successful isolation and purification, but the polysaccharides from YPF post-processing wastes are not studied. Under the guidance of the Pharmacological Efficacy Index, we have extracted Yu-Ping-Feng polysaccharides (YPF-P) from the wastes of YPF in our previous work. Our previous findings showed that YPF-P promote the growth, enhance immunity and organ structure or function of cultured fish northern snakehead fish (Channa argus) and grass carp (Ctenopharyngodon idellus), and significantly improve the intestinal microflora of fish. This paper reviews the current status of YPF-P and their application in aquaculture, including the development of green feed for aquatic animals and the re-utilization of the YPF wastes. This series of work is a way to have the best of both worlds, not only to realize the rational treatment of medical wastes, but also to effectively use the wastes, to find a green raw material for aquatic feed.
