Abstract Yin-Chen-Hao-Tang (YCHT), a classic Chinese herbal formula, is characterized by its strong therapeutic effects of liver regulation and relief of jaundice, especially Yanghuang syndrome (YHS). YHS is a type of jaundice with damp-heat pathogenesis, and it is considered a complicated Chinese medicine syndrome (CMS). The accurate mechanism for healing YHS has not yet been completely reported. The purpose of the current research is to investigate the expression of endogenous biomarkers in YHS mice and evaluate the clinical therapeutic effect of YCHT. Serum samples were analyzed using UPLC-Q/TOF-MS techniques in order to determine differential metabolites to elucidate the functional mechanism of YCHT on YHS through metabolite profiling combined with multivariate analysis. Simultaneously, the exact diversification of YHS mice was elucidated using blood biochemistry indexes and histopathological examination, and the results indicated that YHS is markedly improved by YCHT. Unsupervised principal component analysis (PCA) patterns were constructed to dissect the variances of metabolic profiling. Overall, 22 potential biomarkers were identified using a metabolomics approach based on an accurate MS/MS approach, clustering and distinguishing analysis. The present work demonstrates that the effectiveness of YCHT against YHS prompts distinct discrepancies in metabolic profiles by adjusting biomarkers and regulating metabolic disorders. A total of 15 metabolic pathways were involved in biological disturbance. This demonstrates that metabolomic techniques are powerful means to explore the pathogenesis of CMS and the therapeutic effects of traditional Chinese formulae.

Abstract Yin-Chen-Hao-Tang (YCHT), the classic formulae of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), is widely used to treat dampness-heat jaundice syndrome (DHJS) and various liver diseases. However, the therapeutic mechanism of YCHT is yet to have an integrated biological interpretation. In this work, we used metabolomics technology to reveal the adjustment of small molecule metabolites in body during the treatment of YCHT. Aim to discover the serum biomarkers which are associated with the treatment of DHJS against YCHT. Pathological results and biochemical indicators showed that the hepatic injury and liver index abnormalities caused by DHJS was effectively improve after treatment with YCHT. On the basis of effective treatment, ultra-high performance liquid chromatography (UPLC-G2Si-HDMS) combined with the multivariate statistical analysis method was utilized to analyze the serum samples. Finally, 22 biomarkers were identified by using mass spectrometry and illuminated the correlative metabolic pathways which play a significant role and as therapeutic targets in the treatment of DHJS. This work demonstrated that mass spectrometry metabolomics provides a new insight to elucidate the action mechanism of formulae.

Abstract The Annonaceae stands as the most species rich family in the Magnoliales, a basal group of angiosperms. Widely distributed in tropical and subtropical regions, it holds significant ecological and economic value. The plastid genome (plastome) is often employed in studies related to plant phylogenetics, comparative genomics, evolutionary biology, and genetic engineering. Nonetheless, research progress on plastid genomics in the Annonaceae has been relatively slow. In this study, we analyzed the structure and repetitive sequence features of plastomes from 28 Annonaceae species. Among them,

Abstract Apple trees face various challenges during cultivation. Apple leaves, as the key part of the apple tree for photosynthesis, occupy most of the area of the tree. Diseases of the leaves can hinder the healthy growth of trees and cause huge economic losses to fruit growers. The prerequisite for precise control of apple leaf diseases is the timely and accurate detection of different diseases on apple leaves. Traditional methods relying on manual detection have problems such as limited accuracy and slow speed. In this study, both the attention mechanism and the module containing the transformer encoder were innovatively introduced into YOLOV5, resulting in YOLOV5-CBAM-C3TR for apple leaf disease detection. The datasets used in this experiment were uniformly RGB images. To better evaluate the effectiveness of YOLOV5-CBAM-C3TR, the model was compared with different target detection models such as SSD, YOLOV3, YOLOV4, and YOLOV5. The results showed that YOLOV5-CBAM-C3TR achieved mAP@0.5, precision, and recall of 73.4%, 70.9%, and 69.5% for three apple leaf diseases including Alternaria blotch, Grey spot, and Rust. Compared with the original model YOLOV5, the mAP 0.5increased by 8.25% with a small change in the number of parameters. In addition, YOLOV5-CBAM-C3TR can achieve an average accuracy of 92.4% in detecting 208 randomly selected apple leaf disease samples. Notably, YOLOV5-CBAM-C3TR achieved 93.1% and 89.6% accuracy in detecting two very similar diseases including Alternaria Blotch and Grey Spot, respectively. The YOLOV5-CBAM-C3TR model proposed in this paper has been applied to the detection of apple leaf diseases for the first time, and also showed strong recognition ability in identifying similar diseases, which is expected to promote the further development of disease detection technology.

Abstract With the development of the new generation communication system in China, the application of intelligent transportation system is more extensive, which brings higher demands for vehicle flow detection and monitoring. Traditional traffic flow detection modes often cannot meet the high statistical accuracy requirement and high-speed detection simultaneously. Therefore, an improved Inception module is integrated into the single shot multi box detector algorithm. An intelligent vehicle flow detection model is constructed based on the improved single shot multi box detector algorithm. According to the findings, the convergence speed of the improved algorithm was the fastest. When the test sample was the entire test set, the accuracy and precision values of the improved method were 93.6% and 96.0%, respectively, which were higher than all comparison target detection algorithms. The experimental results of traffic flow statistics showed that the model had the highest statistical accuracy, which converged during the training phase. During the testing phase, except for manual statistics, all methods had the lowest statistical accuracy on motorcycles. The average accuracy and precision of the designed model for various types of images were 96.9% and 96.8%, respectively. The calculation speed of this intelligent model was not significantly improved compared to the other two intelligent models, but it was significantly higher than manual monitoring methods. Two experimental data demonstrate that the intelligent vehicle flow detection model designed in this study has higher detection accuracy. The calculation speed has no significant difference compared with the traditional method, which is helpful to the traffic flow management in intelligent transportation system.
