Abstract Purpose: To investigate the efficacy of atrioventricular valve regurgitation (AVVR) for predicting atrioventricular septal defect (AVSD) in the first trimester.
Methods: We performed a prospective observational study, screening for complicated congenital heart diseases and AVVR in fetuses at 11 to 13
    Results: 43 549 fetuses at 11 to 13
Conclusions: AVVR can be used as an ultrasonic indicator to predict AVSD in the first trimester, which is beneficial to detect AVSD.

Abstract Recent years have witnessed the great advances of deep neural networks (DNNs) in light field (LF) image super-resolution (SR). However, existing DNN-based LF image SR methods are developed on a single fixed degradation (e.g., bicubic downsampling), and thus cannot be applied to super-resolve real LF images with diverse degradation. In this article, we propose a simple yet effective method for real-world LF image SR. In our method, a practical LF degradation model is developed to formulate the degradation process of real LF images. Then, a convolutional neural network is designed to incorporate the degradation prior into the SR process. By training on LF images using our formulated degradation, our network can learn to modulate different degradation while incorporating both spatial and angular information in LF images. Extensive experiments on both synthetically degraded and real-world LF images demonstrate the effectiveness of our method. Compared with existing state-of-the-art single and LF image SR methods, our method achieves superior SR performance under a wide range of degradation, and generalizes better to real LF images. Abstract Given the worldwide problem posed by enteric pathogens, the discovery of safe and efficient intestinal adjuvants combined with novel antigen delivery techniques is essential to the design of mucosal vaccines. In this work, we designed poly (lactic-co-glycolic acid) (PLGA)-based nanoparticles (NPs) to codeliver all-trans retinoic acid (atRA), novel antigens, and CpG. To address the insolubility of the intestinal adjuvant atRA, we utilized PLGA to encapsulate atRA and form a "nanocapsid" with polydopamine. By leveraging polydopamine, we adsorbed the water-soluble antigens and the TLR9 agonist CpG onto the NPs' surface, resulting in the pathogen-mimicking PLPCa NPs. In this study, the novel fusion protein (HBf), consisting of the

Abstract Soil loss is an environmental concern of global importance. Accurate simulation of soil loss in small watersheds is crucial for protecting the environment and implementing soil and water conservation measures. However, predicting soil loss while meeting the criteria of high precision, efficiency, and generalizability remains a challenge. Therefore, this study first used three machine learning (ML) algorithms, namely, random forest (RF), support vector machine (SVM), and artificial neural network (ANN) to develop soil loss models and predict soil loss rates (SLRs). These soil loss models were constructed using field observation data with an average SLR of 1756.48 t/km

Abstract Objective: This study aims to investigate the relationship between serum vitamin D, total IgE levels and chronic spontaneous urticaria (CSU).
Methods: We collected data from 101 patients with chronic spontaneous urticaria (experimental group) and 115 healthy normal subjects (control group) in the same period of physical examination.
Results: The results showed that the number of deficient and absolute deficient 25-hydroxyvitamin D in the experimental group was significantly lower than in the control group (
Conclusion: The activity score of CSU patients was negatively correlated with serum vitamin D and positively correlated with IgE. Serum vitamin D in CSU patients was negatively correlated with activity score and disease duration and positively correlated with age and gender.

Abstract Scope: Mycotoxins co-contamination of agricultural products poses a serious threat to human and animal health, especially hepatic dysfunction. Zearalenone (ZEN), deoxynivalenol (DON), and aflatoxin B1 (AFB1) are three commonly co-occurring mycotoxins. This study is to determine whether lycopene (LYC) can alleviate hepatic toxicity induced by the co-occurrence of ZEN, DON, and AFB1 in mice.
Methods and results: Eighty 6-week-old male ICR mice are divided into four groups: CON group (solvent control), LYC group (10 mg kg
Conclusion: LYC successfully attenuates early hepatic fibrosis mainly through antioxidant activities and prevented mitochondrial injury.
