Abstract Introduction: With age and ATP decrease in the body, the transcription factors hypophosphorylation weakens the transcription of Slc40a1 and hinders the expression of the iron discharger ferroportin. This may lead to iron accumulation in the brain and the catalysis of free radicals that damage cerebral neurons and eventually lead to Alzheimer's disease (AD).
Objectives: To prevent AD caused by brain iron excretion disorders and reveal the mechanism of J bs-5YP peptide restoring ferroportin.
Methods: We prepared J bs-YP peptide and administered it to the senile mice with dementia. Then, the intelligence of the mice was tested using a Morris Water Maze. The ATP content in the body was detected using the ATP hydrophysis and Phosphate precipitation method. The activation of Slc40a1 transcription was assayed with ATAC seq and the ferroportin, as well as the phosphorylation levels of Ets1 in brain were detected by Western Blot.
Results: The phosphorylation level of Ets1in brain was enhanced, and subsequently, the transcription of Slc40a1 was activated and ferroportin was increased in the brain, the levels of iron and free radicals were reduced, with the neurons protection, and the dementia was ultimately alleviated in the senile mice.
Conclusion: J bs-5YP can recover the expression of ferroportin to excrete excessive iron in the brain of senile mice with dementia by enhancing the transcription of Slc40a1 via phosphorylating Ets1, revealing the potential of J bs-5YP as a drug to alleviate senile dementia.

Abstract Benign tracheal stenosis (BTS) is a refractory disease with a complex pathogenesis and limited therapeutic drug effects. The management of benign tracheal stenosis remains a major challenge for the interventional physiologist. In recent years, the role of infection in the occurrence and development of tracheal stenosis has attracted some attention, but there is still some controversy. A clear understanding of the relationship between infection and tracheal stenosis is essential to elucidate the pathogenic mechanism of BTS, and then to improve early prevention and management of BTS. This article reviewed the research progress on BTS associated with infection to explore new effective interventions that can reduce the BTS.

Abstract As novel "post lithium-ion batteries" and promising alternatives to lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) suffering from the limited Li resources, sodium-ion batteries (SIBs) are nowadays emerging and show bright prospects in large-scale energy storage applications due to abundant Na resources. However, a lack of suitable anode materials has become a key obstacle for the development of SIBs. Here we explore the potential of the two-dimensional (2D) Y-C space and identify a novel anode material for SIBs, a new Y

Abstract Objective: To explore the genetic basis for a rare case with Disorder of sex development.
Methods: Clinical data of the patient was collected. Chromosomal karyotyping, SRY gene testing, whole exome sequencing (WES), low-coverage massively parallel copy number variation sequencing (CNV-seq), fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH), and whole genome sequencing (WGS) were carried out.
Results: The patient, a 14-year-old female, had manifested short stature and dysplasia of second sex characteristics. She was found to have a 46,XY karyotype and positive for the SRY gene. No pathogenic variant was found by WES, except a duplication at Yp11.32q12. The result of CNV-seq was 47,XYY. FISH has confirmed mosaicism for a dicentric Y chromosome. A 23.66 Mb duplication on Yp11.32q11.223 and a 5.16 Mb deletion on Yq11.223q11.23 were found by WGS. The breakpoint was mapped at chrY: 23656267. The patient's karyotype was ultimately determined as 46,X,psu idic(Y)(q11.223)/46,X,del(Y)(q11.223).
Conclusion: The combination of multiple methods has facilitated clarification of the genetic etiology in this patient, which has provided a reference for the clinical diagnosis and treatment.
