Abstract The ongoing outbreak of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) as named by the World Health Organization has millions of confirmed cases around the world and has claimed hundreds of thousands of lives. The virus was named SARS-CoV-2 in February by International Committee on Taxonomy of Viruses. COVID-19 presents as fever, dry cough, dyspnea, headache and pneumonia. In a small subset of severe cases, the disease quickly progresses to respiratory failure and even death. Since the 21st century, there have been three major outbreaks caused by human coronaviruses, including the severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) that broke out in 2003, the Middle East respiratory syndrome (MERS) in 2012, and the recent pandemic of COVID-19. Since 2003, significant progress has been made in the study of SARS-CoV and MERS-CoV concerning their natural origins, pathogenesis, antiviral development and vaccine design. Since SARS-CoV-2 and SARS-CoV are closely related, previous findings on SARS-CoV are highly relevant to a better understanding as well as diagnosis, treatment, prevention and control of SARS-CoV-2. In this review, we highlight recent progresses in the field; compare the biological characteristics of SARS-CoV and SARS-CoV-2; summarize the urgently-needed diagnostic, treatment, prevention and control options; and provide future perspectives for the outcome of the outbreak and research questions to be answered, including some of the difficulties in vaccine development. Hopefully, our comments and suggestions would prove useful for the control of the SARS-CoV-2 epidemic in China and the world.

Abstract Tibetyrus formicarius Yin Lin, gen. et sp. nov., a new myrmecophilous genus and species of the pselaphine tribe Tyrini, is described from southeastern Xizang, China. Three adults were collected in nests of a Formica ant species (Hymenoptera: Formicidae) at an altitude of 3,485 m. Tibetyrus is similar to Megatyrus Hlaváč Nomura in sharing the basally pedunculate maxillary palpi that lack an apical cone on the fourth palpomeres. Nevertheless, it can be readily separated from the latter and all other genera of the tribe by its unique suite of morphological features as well as a highly recognizable habitus.

Abstract In the current visible light communication (VLC) system, a condenser lens is generally used in the front of receiver to achieve a higher data rate, making an extremely narrow field-of-view for the receiver. With the spread of Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), the communication between mobile terminals is urgently required. A wide-range detecting method for VLC system in IIoT scenario is asked. In this paper, a novel self-adaptive wide-FoV receiver involving reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (RIS) is proposed. The effective detecting range of the receiver can be expanded by dynamically adjusting the incident light directions with the assistance of RIS. Based on the maximum arrived flux criterion, the mathematical model is established and the optimized RIS parameter tuning algorithm is presented. The feasibility and validity of the method are verified by simulation. The results show that the tolerable transceiver offset can be increased to 2∼4 times as the conventional receiver.

Abstract Tembotrione, a 4-hydroxyphenylpyruvate dioxygenase (HPPD) inhibitor, has been widely used in many types of plants. Tembotrione has been reported for its likelihood of causing injury and plant death to certain corn hybrids. Safeners are co-applied with herbicides to protect certain crops without compromising weed control efficacy. Alternatively, herbicide safeners may effectively improve herbicide selectivity. Abstract Context: Ma Xing Shi Gan Decoction (MXSGD) is a traditional remedy for treating lung injuries that was developed by the Typhoid and Fever School of Pharmaceutical Biology. It has antitussive and expectorant effects, anti-inflammatory, antiviral, regulates the body's immunity, etc.
Aim: The aim of this study is to investigate whether MXSGD can ameliorate cyclosporine A (CsA)-induced hypoimmunity lung injury by regulating microflora metabolism. Methods: Establishment of a model for CsA-induced hypoimmunity lung injury. Using 16S rRNA high-throughput sequencing and LC-MS, the effects of MXSGD on gut flora and lung tissue microecology of mice with CsA-induced hypoimmunity were investigated.
Results: MXSGD was able to preserve lung tissue morphology and structure, reduce serum inflammatory marker expression and protect against CsA-induced lung tissue damage. Compared to the model, MXSGD increased beneficial gut bacteria:
Conclusion: MXSGD can restore gut and lung microbiota diversity and serum metabolite changes to inhibit inflammation, ameliorate CsA-induced hypoimmunity lung injury.

Abstract Objectives: To evaluate the clinical value and safety of combined anesthesia of acupuncture-pharmacotherapy in pulmonary resection surgery.
Methods: The randomized controlled trials (RCTs) related to combined anesthesia of acupuncture-pharmacotherapy in pulmonary resection surgery were searched in PubMed, EMbase, Cochrane Library, Web of Science, SinoMed, CNKI, VIP database, Wanfang database, ClinicalTrials.gov, and the Chinese Clinical Trial Registry (http://www.chictr.org.cn/) from the inception of each database up to July 12, 2022. The methodological quality of the included studies was assessed using the Cochrane risk of bias tool, and Meta-analysis was conducted using RevMan5.4.
Results: A total of 33 RCTs were included, involving 2 526 participants. The Meta-analysis results showed that compared to conventional anesthesia, the patients receiving combined anesthesia of acupuncture-pharmacotherapy had more stable vital signs during surgery, reduced intraoperative fentanyl usage [
Conclusions: The combined anesthesia of acupuncture-pharmacotherapy in pulmonary resection surgery could improve anesthesia and analgesia effectiveness, reduce anesthesia drug usage, regulate immune responses, suppress stress reactions, and the safety is satisfactory. However, there is substantial heterogeneity among the included studies, and outcome measures vary widely. Further large-sample, high-quality, internationally standardized clinical trials are needed to clarify its clinical value and safety, providing reliable evidence for clinical practice.
