    Abstract Tubal inflammation, endometritis, and uterine adhesions due to post-pelvic inflammatory disease (SPID) are important causes of infertility. Chronic endometritis (CE) belongs to SPID, which seriously affects women's reproductive health, quality of life, and family harmony, and is a hot and difficult problem in clinical research. The efficacy of Pen Yan Kang Fu Decoction (PYKFD) has been verified in long-term clinical practice for chronic endometritis infertility caused by the SPID. Numerous studies have confirmed that the LIF/JAK2/STAT3 signaling pathway is important in embryo implantation and development, and endometritis infertility is close to LIF/JAK2/STAT3. In vivo results showed that PYKFD increased endometrial receptivity, repaired uterine tissue damage, and regulates the expression of endometrial receptivity-related factors ER (estrogen receptor), PR (progesterone receptor), CD31, and integrin αvβ3, and induced the transduction of LIF/JAK2/STAT3 signaling pathway. PYKFD can also regulate the expression of IL-6. The results of in vitro experiments showed that PYKFD regulates the behavior of rat endometrial epithelial cells (REECs) involving LIF. In conclusion, PYKFD can improve endometrial receptivity and promote endometrial repair by LIF/JAK2/STAT3 signaling pathway.

    Abstract Yellow-horn (Xanthoceras sorbifolium Bunge), a plant endemic to northern China, is resistant to drought, cold, saline stress, and barren soil, but cannot withstand excess moisture (Ao et al., 2012). Yellow-horn has been cultivated for more than 6000 years in China. It is an oilseed crop, and the oil content of the seeds can be as high as 65%. The oil can be used for cooking, as well as for medicine and biofuel production (Liu et al., 2017). The seed oil has traditionally been used for cooking and lighting. In recent years, the development and use of biodiesel produced from yellow-horn have received increased attention as a result of the energy crisis. The seed kernels of yellow-horn are rich in nutrients and contain 55% crude fat, 15% soluble sugar, and mineral elements (Xie and Zhang, 2018). Yellow-horn is widely distributed and shows extensive morphological variation, especially in flower type and color. It is also widely used as a landscaping tree species (Gao et al., 2002; Xu et al., 2010). Because of its high ecological, economic, and ornamental value, the cultivation of yellow-horn has received much attention in China in recent years.

    Abstract Objectives: To investigate the technical performance of IDentifier DNA typing kit (YanHuang34) and evaluate its forensic application value.
    Methods: Following the
    Results: IDentifier DNA typing kit (YanHuang34) had good species specificity, veracity, adaptability, inhibitor tolerance and balance. The sensibility was up to 0.062 5 ng. It was able to detect different types of samples, degraded samples and inhibitor mixed samples. Complete DNA typing could be obtained for samples with the mixture ratio less than 4∶1. The system efficiency of IDentifier DNA typing kit (YanHuang34) was very high, with TDP up to 1-1.08×10
    Conclusions: The IDentifier DNA typing kit (YanHuang34) is adaptive to the GB/T 37226-2018 requirements. It can be used for individual identification and paternity identification, and is suitable for application in the field of forensic science.

    Abstract In the setting of the increasing density of exploration wells, and the decreasing scale and increasing difficulty of discovering Jurassic paleogeomorphology reservoirs, it is urgent to deepen the fine depiction of pre-Jurassic paleogeomorphology features and to analyze their controlling effect on reservoirs. Based on abundant logging data combined with indoor microscopic observation and experimental testing, the paper applies the theory of reservoir configuration analysis for the first time to the single-channel period division of the pre-Jurassic Meng-Shaan paleochannel which deposited with the braided channel sand bodies. Meanwhile, it reveals the controlling effect of hydrocarbon accumulation and the distribution characteristics of the Yan 10

    Abstract Ethnopharmacological relevance: Jian-yan-ling (JYL) is a drug used in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) prescriptions for the treatment of tumors after radiotherapy and chemotherapy, to effectively alleviate leukocytopenia. However, the genetic mechanisms underlying the function of JYL remain unclear.
    Aim of the study: This study aimed to explore the RNA changes and potential biological processes related to the anti-aging or life-extending effects of JYL treatments.
    Materials and methods: In vivo
    Results: The in vivo experiments revealed 74 upregulated genes in the low-concentration group, and CG13078 was a commonly downregulated differential gene, which is involved in ascorbate iron reductase activity. Further analysis of the co-expression map identified the key genes: regulatory particle non-ATPase (RPN), regulatory particle triple-A ATPase (RPT), and tripeptidyl-peptidase II (TPP II). For the in vitro experiments, 19 co-differential genes were compared between different concentrations of the HL 60 cell line, of which three genes were upregulated: LOC107987457 (phostensin-like gene), HSPA1A (heat shock protein family A member 1 A), and H2AC19 (H2A clustered histone 19). In the HL 60 cell line, JYL activated proteasome-related functions. In the Jurkat cell line, there were no common differential genes despite the presence of a dosage-dependent trend.
    Conclusions: The RNA-seq results showed that the traditional Chinese medicine JYL has longevity and anti-aging effects, indicating that further investigation is required.

    Abstract There has been a large global outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), representing a major public health issue. In China, combination therapy, including traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) as a treatment for COVID-19 has been used widely. "Fei Yan No. 1" (QFDYG) is a formula recommended by the Hubei Government to treat COVID-19. A retrospective study of 84 COVID-19 patients from Hubei Provincial Hospital of TCM and Renmin Hospital of Hanchuan was conducted to explore the clinical efficacy of QFDYG combination therapy. TCMSP and YaTCM databases were used to determine the components of all Chinese herbs in QFDYG. Oral bioavailability (OB) ≥ 30% and drug-like (DL) quality ≥ 0.18 were selected as criteria for screening the active compounds identified within the TCMSP database. The targets of active components in QFDYG were determined using the Swiss TargetPrediction (SIB) and Targetnet databases. The STRING database and the Network Analyzer plugin in Cytoscape were used to obtain protein-protein interaction (PPI) network topology parameters and to identify hub targets. Gene Ontology (GO) enrichment was conducted using FunRich version 3.1.3, and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) pathway enrichment using ClueGO version 2.5.6 software. PPI and compound-pathway (C-T) networks were constructed using Cytoscape 3.6.0. Compared with the control group, combined treatment with QFDYG resulted in a significantly higher rate of patients recovering from symptoms and shorter the time. After 14 days of treatment, QFDYG combined treatment increased the proportion of patients testing negative for SARS-CoV-2 nucleic acid by RT-PCR. Compared with the control group, promoting focal absorption and inflammation as viewed on CT images. GO and KEGG pathway enrichment indicated that QFDYG principally regulated biological processes, such as inflammation, an immune response, and apoptosis. The present study revealed that QFDYG combination therapy offered particular therapeutic advantages, indicating that the theoretical basis for the treatment of COVID-19 by QFDYG may play an antiviral and immune response regulation through multiple components, targets, and pathways, providing reference for the clinical treatment of COVID-19.
