Abstract Objectives: To investigate pregnancy outcomes in patients with pregnancies with a copper 380 mm
Study design: In this retrospective study, we identified patients with pregnancies with a copper 380 mm
Results: We identified a total of 246 patients with pregnancies with an IUD. We excluded six (2.4%) patients without follow-up data and seven (2.8%) patients with levonorgestrel-IUD and included the remaining 233 (44 [18.9%] ectopic pregnancy, 31 [13.3%] nonviable IUP, and 158 [67.5%] viable IUP) patients. Among the 158 women with viable IUP, 21 (13.3%) underwent abortion, leaving 137 (86.7%) who elected to continue the pregnancy. A total of 54 (39.4%) patients with ongoing pregnancy had the IUD removed. We found a lower rate of pregnancy loss among those who underwent removal (18/54 [33.3%]) compared to those with a retained IUD (51/83 [61.4%], p < 0.001). After accounting for pregnancy loss, adverse pregnancy outcomes remained increased in the IUD-retained group (17/32 [53.1%]) compared to the IUD-removed group (10/36 [27.8%], p = 0.03).
Conclusions: Pregnancy in the setting of a copper 380 mm
Implications: Prior studies have suggested that the removal of the IUD improves outcomes, but all have limitations. Our results from a very large series with care in a single institution provide contemporary evidence to support copper 380 mm

Abstract Angelica remotiserrata is a novel endemic species discovered in the Kastamonu provinces of northern Turkey. The new species is described by morphological, carpological, ecological and phylogenetic analysis. A. remotiserrata is morphologically distinct from Angelica sylvestris by the coarsely serrata leaf margins, the small and not swollen sheath, the larger fruit and the 12–14 dorsal vittae. A phylogenetic analysis based on the internal transcribed spacer (ITS) sequence of the ribosomal DNA was conducted to reveal the evolutionary relationships of the new species. Its relationships with related species and proposed conservation status were reviewed. The morphological, and molecular evidence clearly supports that A. remotiserrata is a new species.

Abstract The aim of the study was to investigate the short-term effects of low-dose aspirin treatment on uterine artery Doppler in pregnancies that were high-risk for preeclampsia. This prospective observational study included 82 patients with singleton pregnancies between 11-14 weeks of gestation. Uterine artery Doppler measurements were obtained by transvaginal ultrasonography at the first prenatal visit of women who started low-dose aspirin treatment due to the high risk of preeclampsia and women who did not receive low-dose aspirin. Uterine artery Doppler measurements of both groups were repeated 7-10 days after the first examination. There was a significant decrease in the presence of uterine artery diastolic notch in the low-dose aspirin group (

Abstract Ferula turcica and Ferula latialata are two novel endemic species discovered in the Konya and Kırşehir provinces of the central Anatolian region of Türkiye. These two new species are described by morphological, ecological, carpological, and phytochemical characteristics and phylogenetic analysis. F. turcica and F. latialata are morphologically distinct from F. szowitsiana by their habit, the stalk of the terminal umbella, and the mericarp size, as well as by the profile of their secondary metabolite markers and phylogenetic placement. The phylogenetic analyses of sequences of the internal transcribed spacer in ribosomal DNA belonging to both new taxa were conducted to reveal the evolutionary relationships of the new species. Their relationships with the other related species and proposed conservation status were reviewed. The morphological, molecular, and phytochemical evidence supported the hypothesis that Ferula turcica and Ferula latialata are two new distinct species.

Abstract Objectives: TANGO2 deficiency is a rare inborn error of metabolism, with distinct clinical features. The clinical presentations of TANGO2 deficiency are developmental delay, speech difficulties, intellectual disability, non-life-threatening paroxysmal neurologic episodes (TANGO2 spells), acute metabolic crises, cardiac crises, seizures and hypothyroidism. Patients may die in acute metabolic crises. Here we report our experience in the management of an acute metabolic crisis in TANGO2 deficiency.
Case presentation: A 9-year-old patient diagnosed with TANGO2 deficiency was admitted with fever, fatigue, unable to walk. In follow up, encephalopathy, rhabdomyolysis and arrhythmia were detected. Vitamin B-complex was started. Our patient's mental status and rhabdomyolysis improved dramatically, and cardiac crises ended without Torsades de pointes, ventricular tachycardia and/or fibrillation or myocardial dysfunction.
Conclusions: With this report, we aimed to show the effectiveness of vitamin B-complex in the management of acute metabolic crises.

Abstract Weeds pose major constraints in crop production. The use of allelochemicals and allelopathic species can provide an effective alternative for sustainable weed management. In a previous study that evaluated the allelopathic activity of wild and cultivated plants in Turkey, Hibiscus sabdariffa demonstrated the strongest inhibitory potential. This study aimed to estimate the phytotoxic influence of the H. sabdariffa water crude extracts on Lactuca sativa L. in a bioassay experiment. High-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) analysis was used to identify two major compounds, hydroxycitric acid lactone and hydroxy citric acid, and their plant growth inhibitory activities were evaluated by bioassays. Hydroxycitric acid lactone had a stronger growth inhibitory activity on L. sativa L. and was estimated as a major allelochemical in H. sabdariffa calyx. The high concentration (16.7% of the dry weight of the calyx) and strong inhibitory effect (EC₅₀, 73.7 ppm) of the hydroxycitric acid lactone could demonstrate the growth inhibitory activity of the H. sabdariffa calyx extract. This study showed that hydroxycitric acid lactone, a major compound in the calyx of Hibiscus sabdariffa, is a plant growth inhibitor.
