Abstract Objective: To observe roproductive hormone levels in varicocele patients during a cycle (6 years) of Wu Yun Liu Qi, and explore whether the cycle had effect on the roproductive hormone levels. Methods: Data of roproductive hormone levels in varicocele patients from 2015 to 2020 were analyzed retrospectively. FSH、LH、T、PRL、E2 levels and T/E2 ratio were compared among the six years. According to Chinese sexagenary cycle heavenly stems and earthly branches of each year from 2015 to 2020 its yunqi characteristics were determined. Results: Totally data of 848 cases of varicocele patients were collected from 2015 to 2020. Among which, in 2015 (Yiwei year) there were 57 cases, in 2016 (Bingshen year) 83 cases, in 2017 (Dingyou year ) 133 cases, in 2018(Wuxu year) 156 cases, in 2019(Sihai year) 274 cases, and in 2020(Gengzi year) 145 cases. The levels of FSH、LH、PRL、T were not diferrent statistically from the six years except individual year. However, the level of E2 in 2016 when the Yunqi was Shao Yang Xiang Huo Si Tian and Jue Yin Feng Mu Zai Quan obviously higher than other years excpet 2018( All P< 0.05). And T/E2 ratio was lower in 2016 than other years except 2018 and 2020( All P< 0.05). Conclusions: Shi Xiang factors of Wu Yun Liu Qi had effect on roproductive hormone levels in varicocele patients, showing by higher E2 level in Yinshen year when the Shi Xiang factors may have bad effect on human fertility.

Abstract: ... improve the long-term prognosis in HPRL. To analyze the effects of Bu-shen-zhu-yun decoction (BSZY-D ...

Abstract Background: Prolactin (PRL) is a protein hormone secreted by the anterior pituitary gland that regulates pituitary hormones. Hyperprolactinemia (HPRL), a pathological phenomenon of excessive PRL, can cause infertility in severe cases and is currently treated mainly with Western drugs, such as bromocriptine, a dopamine agonist (DA). Unfortunately, DAs produce psychological side effects which limit their long-term use. Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) has minimal side effects and good results spanning many years of research. The combined treatment of TCM and Western medicine may enhance treatment efficacy and improve the long-term prognosis in HPRL. To analyze the effects of Bu-shen-zhu-yun decoction (BSZY-D) combined with bromocriptine on serum hormones, anxiety, and pregnancy in hyperprolactinemic infertile patients.
Methods: One hundred patients diagnosed with HPRL infertility from June 2020 to June 2021 in the gynecology clinic of Jiangsu Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine were selected and grouped by envelope method. After excluding patients who withdrew or missed visits, 37 cases assigned to the control group were treated with bromocriptine, and 40 cases assigned to the observation group were treated with bromocriptine combined with BSZY-D. The patients' PRL and kisspeptin (KP) serum indexes, improvements in infertility, Anxiety Self-Assessment Scale (SAS) scores, and improvements in the Insomnia Severity Index Scale (ISI) scores were compared between the two groups.
Results: At 3 and 6 months of treatment, serum PRL, SAS, and ISI scores were significantly lower, and serum KP was significantly higher in the observation group than in the control group (P<0.05). During the study period, the pregnancy rates were 62.50% (25/40) and 37.84% (14/37) in the observation and control groups, respectively. The observation group also had significantly fewer early miscarriages [10.00% (4/40) vs. 32.43% (12/37)] and less adverse reactions [7.50% (3/40) vs. 24.32% (9/37)] than the control group (all P<0.05).
Conclusions: The combination of bromocriptine with BSZY-D was superior to bromocriptine alone in treating HPRL and HPRL-related infertility, which also demonstrated a positive effect on patients' sleep and low mood.

Abstract Purpose: To determine the effect of Bu-Shen-Zhu-Yun Decoction (BSZY-D) on the kisspeptin through JAK2/STAT5 signaling pathway in hyperprolactinemia (HPRL) infertility.
Method: SD rats were treated with BSZY-D for cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) extraction. GT1-7 cells were subjected to different treatments. The phosphorylation levels of JAK2 and STAT5, and the expressions of PRLR and kisspeptin of GT1-7 cells in different groups were detected by western blot, RT-qPCR and immunofluorescence. The expressions of CSN5 and GATA1 and other molecular features were checked by western blot, RT-PCR, co-immunoprecipitation and renilla luciferase activity.
Results: The phosphorylation levels of JAK2 and STAT5, and the expressions of PRLR and kisspeptin in the HPRL group were significantly decreased, and these changes could be reversed after BSZY-D treatment. In addition, the presence of PRLR deubiquitination was detected in the HPRL group, which could be reversed by shRNA-CSN5, suggesting that BSZY-D played a role through targeting CSN5. The binding level of GATA1 and CSN5 promoter in the HPRL group was significantly decreased, but elevated in the HPRL (BSZY-D/CSF) group (P < 0.05).
Conclusion: BSZY-D improved the transcription activity of GATA1 and increased the binding of GATA1 and CSN5. BSZY-D was involved in the deubiquitination of PRLR, which contributes to alleviating the symptoms of HPRL infertility.

Abstract Objective: The mechanical properties of corneal tissues play a crucial role in determining corneal shape and have significant implications in vision care. This study aimed to address the challenge of obtaining accurate in vivo data for the human cornea.
Methods: We have developed a high-frequency optical coherence elastography (OCE) technique using shear-like antisymmetric (A0)-mode Lamb waves at frequencies above 10 kHz.
Results: By incorporating an anisotropic, nonlinear constitutive model and utilizing the acoustoelastic theory, we gained quantitative insights into the influence of corneal tension on wave speeds and elastic moduli. Our study revealed significant spatial variations in the shear modulus of the corneal stroma on healthy subjects for the first time. Over an age span from 21 to 34 (N = 6), the central corneas exhibited a mean shear modulus of 87 kPa, while the corneal periphery showed a significant decrease to 44 kPa. The central cornea's shear modulus decreases with age with a slope of -19 +/- 8 kPa per decade, whereas the periphery showed non-significant age dependence. The limbus demonstrated an increased shear modulus exceeding 100 kPa. We obtained wave displacement profiles that are consistent with highly anisotropic corneal tissues.
Conclusion: Our approach enabled precise measurement of corneal tissue elastic moduli in situ with high precision (<7%) and high spatial resolution (<1 mm). Our results revealed significant stiffness variation from the central to peripheral corneas.
Significance: The high-frequency OCE technique holds promise for biomechanical evaluation in clinical settings, providing valuable information for refractive surgeries, degenerative disorder diagnoses, and intraocular pressure assessments.
