Abstract Background: Daily supplementation with vitamin B12 and folate, which are the cofactors of the enzymatic reactions involved in Hcy metabolism, can lower plasma levels of Hcy and prevent osteoporosis induced by retinoid.
Case presentation: We reported six patients with nodulocystic acne who reported musculoskeletal pain after taking isotretinoin which successfully treated with daily supplementation of folic acid and B12.
Conclusion: We suggest our colleagues consider these supplements when a patient suffers from musculoskeletal pain following starting isotretinoin and continue the treatment as well. In the end, the authors concluded that robust trials with more patients are needed to establish the efficacy of Vit B12 and folic acid in the treatment of isotretinoin induced musculoskeletal pain.

Abstract Serious complications arising from surgical hair restoration are relatively uncommon following well-performed and well-planned surgery by skillful surgical techniques, good communication, and postoperative follow-up. Surgical complications often categorized as those which occur in the donor site and the recipient site. In this paper among recipient area complication we focused on recipient area necrosis that arises when an increased number of recipient grafts are utilized and de-vascularization of the scalp occurs as a result of the large wound area due to the dense packing splitting of recipient skin. Recently, Feily et al. explained an interesting method to prevent development of recipient area necrosis following a hair transplant procedure. Herein we reported three cases of dense hair transplantation using the Feilys method that after slitting they troubled by unusual long lasting dark areas on the scalp and they need more than 24 hr's patience for prevention of scalp necrosis.

Abstract Although skin is the largest organ of the body, there are no standardized reproducible methods for assessing severity of many skin diseases. Due to lack of consensus, methods of assessment and inexistence of precise scoring system, there is no application for vitiligo estimation in real practice. In this paper the author describes VETI score as a new treatment evaluation criteria and severity assessment method for vitiligo. This new tool, as does the PASI score in psoriasis, may be able to produce a constant and reproducible number and to help clinical research on vitiligo patients. Additionally it has a potential to be a source of any computed application for researchers working on vitiligo patients.
