    Abstract Flavonoids are a kind of natural polyphenols which are closely related to human health, and the identification of flavonoids with similar structures is an important but difficult issue. We herein easily constructed a powerful fluorescent sensor ensemble by using surfactant cetyltrimethylammoniumbromide (CTAB) encapsulating two commercially available fluorescent probes (F1 and F2) with multi-wavelength emission. Fluorescence measurements illustrate the present sensor ensemble exhibits turn-off responses to flavones and flavonols but ratiometric responses to isoflavones, owing to different FRET processes. The heat map and linear discriminant analysis (LDA) results show that this single sensor can effectively distinguish 6 flavonoids belong to three subgroups by collecting the fluorescence variation at four typical wavelengths. Moreover, it can be applied to identify different flavonoids even in biofluids like serum and urine, providing potential practical application.

    Abstract Background: Many patients in the intensive care unit (ICU) suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), which seriously affects the treatment, recovery, and prognosis of patients.
    Objective: To observe the effect of empowerment psychological intervention on the status of PTSD in ICU patients.
    Methods: A total of 86 patients with PTSD who were treated in ICU from July 2019 to December 2021 were divided into two groups according to the intervention method. The control group (n = 43) used routine psychological intervention, while the intervention group (n = 43) used empowerment psychological intervention led by specialist nurses. The Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) was used to assess the sleep quality of the patients. The Resilience Questionnaire (CD-RISC) was used to evaluate the resilience of the patients, and the Post Traumatic Stress Disorder Self-Rating Scale (PTSD-SS) was used to assess the severity of the symptoms. The Hamilton Anxiety and Depression Inventory (HAMA and HAMD) was adapted to assess the degree of anxiety and depression, and the Post-Traumatic Growth Inventory (PTGI) was adapted to evaluate the post-traumatic growth of the patients.
    Results: After the intervention, the total CD-RISC score and its tenacity, self-improvement, and optimism scores in the two groups were all higher than before, and the total PSQI score and its sleep quality, time, efficiency and impairment, as well as hypnotic drugs, daytime dysfunction and time to sleep were lower than before, and the CD-RISC score in the intervention group was higher than that in the control group, PSQI score was lower than that in the control group (p < 0.05). After the intervention, PTSD-SS scores and anxiety-depression scores were lower, and PTGI scores were higher in both groups than before (p < 0.05).
    Conclusion: The empowerment psychological intervention led by specialist nurses applied to ICU patients with PTSD can improve their psychological resilience and sleep quality, reduce negative emotions, alleviate clinical symptoms, and promote post-traumatic growth.

    Abstract With the gradual deepening of the study of gastric motility disorders, people increasingly realize that gastric myoelectric activity plays an important role in coordinating gastric function. This article introduces the advantages of endoscopic mucosal electrodes compared with traditional electrodes. Several different types of mucosal electrodes and how to fix the electrodes by endoscope are introduced. Endoscopic mucosal electrodes can record and regulate gastric myoelectric activity, which has great value in the study of gastric motility. Endoscopic mucosal electrode technique refers to the fixation of the electrode in the designated part of the gastric mucosa by endoscope. Through endoscopic mucosal electrodes, on the one hand, we can record gastric myoelectric activity, on the other hand, we can carry out gastric electrical stimulation to interfere with gastric rhythm. Endoscopic mucosal electrodes have higher accuracy than traditional cutaneous electrodes, less trauma and lower cost than serosal electrodes. Endoscopic mucosal electrodes have a good application prospect for diseases such as gastroparesis and obesity.

    Abstract In this study, the dynamics of the trophic niches and the accumulation and transfer of four trace elements-Cu, Cd, Zn, and Pb-from Antarctic krill (Euphausia superba) to mackerel icefish (Champsocephalus gunnari) were investigated. The results demonstrated that the average concentrations of Zn, Cu, Cd, and Pb in E. superba were significantly higher than those of the corresponding elements in C. gunnari. These trace elements have a biodilution effect through E. superba to C. gunnari, and Cu has the lowest biomagnification factor among those four trace elements.     Abstract Background: As China's population ages, the demand for care for the disabled elderly is increasing, and family caregivers find it challenging to meet the comprehensive care needs of the disabled elderly. Through home respite services, families of the disabled elderly can receive help and support from specialized nursing professionals to ease the burden on family caregivers and provide high-quality services. This study explores the willingness and influencing factors of Master of Geriatric Nursing Specialist postgraduates in China to volunteer to provide home respite services for disabled elderly individuals.
    Methods: A qualitative study based on Grounded Theory used Strauss and Corbin's programmatic version. A purposive sampling method was employed to conduct semi-structured interviews with 12 Master of Geriatric Nursing Specialist postgraduates from a tertiary hospital in Changsha, Hunan Province, China.
    Results: The willingness of Master of Geriatric Nursing Specialist postgraduates to volunteer to provide home respite services for the disabled elderly was established as a core category, which was influenced by three main categories: personal factors, service object factors, and social factors, and nine categories formed from 39 initial concepts were included under the main category.
    Conclusions: Influenced by China's traditional cultural background, Master of Geriatric Nursing Specialist postgraduates in China have shown high motivation in volunteering to provide home respite services for the families of the disabled elderly but have been challenged by several challenges from China's healthcare environment and education system. Relevant departments need to adopt a series of policies and measures to increase volunteers' willingness to participate in respite care and promote its development.

    Abstract Energy efficiency and security issues are the main concerns in wireless sensor networks (WSNs) because of limited energy resources and the broadcast nature of wireless communication. Therefore, how to improve the energy efficiency of WSNs while enhancing security performance has attracted widespread attention. In order to solve this problem, this paper proposes a new deep reinforcement learning (DRL)-based strategy, i.e., DeepNR strategy, to enhance the energy efficiency and security performance of WSN. Specifically, the proposed DeepNR strategy approximates the Q-value by designing a deep neural network (DNN) to adaptively learn the state information. It also designs DRL-based multi-level decision-making to learn and optimize the data transmission paths in real time, which eventually achieves accurate prediction and decision-making of the network. To further enhance security performance, the DeepNR strategy includes a defense mechanism that responds to detected attacks in real time to ensure the normal operation of the network. In addition, DeepNR adaptively adjusts its strategy to cope with changing network environments and attack patterns through deep learning models. Experimental results show that the proposed DeepNR outperforms the conventional methods, demonstrating a remarkable 30% improvement in network lifespan, a 25% increase in network data throughput, and a 20% enhancement in security measures.

    Abstract Iron metabolism disorders are implicated in the pathogenesis of Alzheimer's disease (AD). It was previously reported that transferrin receptor (TFR1) expression was upregulated in AD mouse model. However, the precise biological functions of TFR1 in AD progression remains unclear. Herein, we observed a gradual increase in TFR1 protein expression during the differentiation of AD patient-derived induced pluripotent stem cells (AD-iPS). TFR1 knockdown inhibited the protein expression of ferritin and ferritin heavy chain 1 (FTH1), enhanced the expression of ferroportin 1 (FPN1), and decreased intracellular levels of total iron, labile iron, and reactive oxygen species (ROS). Moreover, TFR1 knockdown improved mitochondrial membrane potential (MMP), increased adenosine triphosphate (ATP) content, downregulated mitochondrial fission proteins, and upregulated mitochondrial fusion proteins. TFR1 knockdown alleviated iron overload and mitochondrial dysfunction in neural cells differentiated from AD-iPS, while TFR1 overexpression showed the opposite results. Additionally, TFR1interacted with glycogen synthase kinase 3 beta (GSK3B) and promoted GSK3B expression. GSK3B overexpression reversed the inhibitory effects of TFR1 knockdown on iron overload and mitochondrial dysfunction in AD-iPS differentiated neural cells. In conclusion, TFR1 knockdown alleviated iron overload and mitochondrial dysfunction in neural cells differentiated from AD-iPS by promoting GSK3B expression. Our findings provide a potential therapeutic target for the treatment of AD.
