Abstract Histiocytic sarcoma (HS) is an extremely rare and aggressive malignant neoplasm of hematopoietic origin that shows morphologic and immunophenotypic evidence of histiocytic differentiation. In approximately 25% of the cases, presumed transdifferentiation of a preexisting hematolymphoid disorder can be demonstrated. Various extranodal sites, particularly the gastrointestinal tract, soft tissue, skin, and spleen, can be involved. Enhanced CT and FDG PET/CT findings of extranodal histiocytic sarcoma have been barely reported. We present a case with extranodal HS originating in the small intestine after gastric large B-cell lymphoma, mistaken for prostate cancer metastasis in a 76-year-old man.

Abstract Purpose: To provide a comprehensive analysis of ICI usage and treatment outcomes in elderly Korean veterans with stage IV NSCLC.
Methods: Patients diagnosed with stage IV NSCLC between 2016 and 2021 were included, and three cohorts were derived according to the type of ICI received. Thereafter, the clinical characteristics and survival outcomes were compared.
Results: Of the 180 patients with NSCLC (median age, 76 years) included in this study, 49 (27.7%), 61 (33.9%), and 70 (38.9%) received pembrolizumab, nivolumab, and atezolizumab, respectively, and 19.4%, 36.1%, and 34.4% had PD-L1 expressions < 1%, 1-49%, and ≥50%, respectively. The pembrolizumab, nivolumab, and atezolizumab groups, the objective response rates (ORR), and the disease control rates (DCR) were 22.4%, 8.2%, and 4.3% (
Conclusion: Pembrolizumab and nivolumab showed stronger associations with increases in ORR and DCR than atezolizumab, but no statistically significant differences were observed with respect to OS.

Abstract Background: Posttraumatic anger is a commonly reported emotion among people who have experienced traumatic events. The current study aimed to demonstrate the reliability and validity of the South Korean version of the DAR-5 (DAR-5-K). The DAR-5 is a single scale with 5 items which measures posttraumatic anger. The DAR-5 is composed of five items that measure anger frequency, intensity, duration, aggression, and its interference with social relations.
Methods: Data were collected from 814 South Korean adults who had experienced traumatic events and participated in the study and analyzed via the combination of exploratory factor analysis (n = 405) and confirmatory factor analysis (n = 409).
Results: Results supported the one-factor structure, as reported in previous validation studies. The scale demonstrated robust internal reliability and concurrent validity with measures of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) symptoms, depression, anxiety, and self-esteem. The DAR-5 cut-off score of 12 that was established in the original validation study successfully differentiated high from low scorers with regard to PTSD symptoms, depression, anxiety, and self-esteem.
Conclusion: The results confirm that the DAR-5-K is a brief and psychometrically robust measure of anger that can be used to examine South Korean adults who have experienced traumatic events.

Abstract Age-related diseases represent the largest threat to public health. Aging is a degenerative, systemic, multifactorial and progressive process, coupled with progressive loss of function and eventually leading to high mortality rates. Excessive levels of both pro- and anti-oxidant species qualify as oxidative stress (OS) and result in damage to molecules and cells. OS plays a crucial role in the development of age-related diseases. In fact, damage due to oxidation depends strongly on the inherited or acquired defects of the redox-mediated enzymes. Abstract Objective: To evaluate the efficacy of policresulen for the treatment of hypergranulation.
Method: This was a retrospective study of patients with percutaneous catheters. Inpatients from two hospitals and those from outpatient clinics were included. Approximately 2ml of 50% policresulen solution was applied to hypergranulation tissue, which was then immediately pressed with gauze for 1-3 minutes using light pressure. When haemostasis was achieved and the granulation tissue size decreased, the procedure was terminated.
Results: A total of eight patients (four females and four males) were included in this study. Effective haemostasis was achieved in all patients. The size of the hypergranulation tissue decreased with policresulen treatment, and resolved completely in one patient. There were no complications. Hypergranulation tissue recurred in one patient. Haemostasis was successfully achieved after repeated procedures.
Conclusion: The findings of this study showed policresulen to be an inexpensive, easy treatment for hypergranulation at catheter insertion sites.
