Abstract "A comprehensive review of the challenges that exist in patient accessibility to advanced therapy medicinal products (ATMPs), presenting clinical trials, marketing authorization, HTA, pricing, reimbursement, affordability, payment and partnership agreements of RMs and commercialisation. Specfically, we investigated how COVID-19 has impacted the RMs industry by elaborating on the disruptions it caused but also the new opportunities it brought. The ultimate goal of this work is to make strategic recommendations for manufacturers and decisions-markers on effective strategies to address the above obstacles and facilitate patient access to promising regenerative medicines"--

Abstract Sapindus mukorossi has a wide distribution range, high application value, and broad developmental potential. Previous studies have mostly focused on the medicinal and economic value of soapberry; however, few studies have been conducted on its seed germination. This study measured the physiological indicators and hormone content of soapberry seeds at different germination stages and preliminarily determined that abscisic acid (ABA) and indole-3-acetic acid (IAA) are the key hormones that affect the germination of soapberry seeds. Both Gene Ontology (GO) and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG enrichment) analyses detected hormone transduction pathways, further confirming the key role of plant hormones in the germination process of soapberry seeds. Through transcriptome analysis, we speculated that CYP707A and IPA are key genes in the ABA and IAA synthesis pathways, respectively. This study revealed the close relationship between plant hormones and soapberry seed germination and provided new ideas for further exploration of the germination mechanism of soapberry seeds.

Abstract Background: Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a leading cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide. Extensive research is currently directed at identifying novel targets for its diagnosis and treatment.
Aims: We investigated the biological functions and clinical significance of mucin-type N-acetylglucosaminyltransferase 3 (GCNT3) in HCC.
Methods: Variations in the mRNA expression of GCNT3 were examined in normal and HCC tissues. Cell function assays and animal models characterized the effects of GCNT3 on the proliferation, invasion, and migration abilities of HCC cells. Western blot and immunofluorescence analyses were performed to explore further the specific mechanisms whereby GCNT3 affects HCC progression.
Results: There is a strong correlation between GCNT3 overexpression and tumor formation and metastasis in vivo and in vitro. GCNT3 acted as a regulator of the synthesis of mucin-type O-glycans by interacting with mucin 13 (MUC13) to regulate its expression levels, activating the GSK3β/β-catenin signaling pathway. The activation of GSK3β/β-catenin signaling by GCNT3 was mitigated by MUC13 knockdown. In clinical HCC specimens, GCNT3 expression was upregulated in HCC tissues compared to non-tumor tissues. Further, there was a significant correlation between high GCNT3 expression and poor patient survival.
Conclusions: GCNT3 regulated tumor progression in HCC through the MUC13/GSK3-β/β-catenin signaling pathway.

Abstract The mixed integer linear programming (MILP) has been widely applied in many fields such as supply chain management and robot control, while how to develop a more efficient algorithm to solve large-scale MILP is still in discussion. This study addresses a hybrid algorithm of the ant colony and Benders decomposition to improve the efficiency. We firstly introduce the design of our algorithm, in which the Benders algorithm decomposes the MILP into a master problem and a slack problem, the ant colony algorithm generates initial solutions for the master problem, and heuristic rules obtain feasible solutions for the slack problem. Then, the computational experiments are carried out to verify efficiency, with a benchmark test and some medium-large scale examples. Compared with other algorithms like CPLEX, GUROBI, and traditional ACA, our algorithm shows a better performance with a 0.3%-4.0% optimality gap, as well as a significant decrease of 54.3% and 33.6% on average in the CPU time and iterations, respectively. Our contribution is to provide a low-workload, time-saving, and high-accuracy hybrid algorithm to solve MILP problems with a large amount of variables, which can be widely used in more commercial solvers and promote the utilization of the artificial intelligence.
