Abstract Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) have received much attention concerning their expression mechanisms in tumor formation. It is known that lncRNAs are involved in the occurrence, development, and prognosis of various tumors, including lung cancer. In our study, one non-coding RNA, LNC11649 (649 nt in length), was identified in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) by PacBio third-generation sequencing technology. Both Northern blot and quantitative PCR analyses confirmed the presence of LNC11649 in NSCLC tissues and cells with high expression. Its sequence was found to be highly homologous to lncRNA MALAT1. Knocking down MALAT1 could lead to a significant downregulation of LNC11649 content, revealing the possibility that LNC11649 could originate from MALAT1 reprocessing. RNA immunoprecipitation and electrophoretic mobility shift assays confirmed an interaction between LNC11649 and the MSI1 protein. Further experiments revealed that LNC11649 promoted the cytoplasmic distribution of MSI1 through its interaction with MSI1 and then activated the Akt signaling pathway to regulate the proliferation and migration of NSCLC cells. Our study reveals the possibility that LNC11649 plays a cancer-promoting role as a reprocessed form of MALAT1 in NSCLC cells and suggests that the MALAT1/LNC11649/MSI1/Akt regulatory axis becomes a potential therapeutic target for lung cancer.

Abstract Stored products are constantly infested by insects, so finding eco-friendly bioinsecticides for insect management is important. The work aimed to assess the insecticidal and repellent activity of essential oil (EO) from Hedychium glabrum S. Q. Tong, Hedychium coronarium Koen., and Hedychium yunnanense Gagnep. against Tribolium castaneum, Lasioderma serricorne, and Liposcelis bostrychophila. Results showed that 88 chemical components were identified in the extracted Hedychium EOs, indicating that they exhibited diversity in components. According to principal component analysis (PCA), the composition of the EO from the H. yunnanense stem and leaf (EOHYSL) was significantly different from other EOs due to the different organs and species. The biological activity also varied continuously with plant species and organs. Only the EO of H. yunnanense (EOHY) showed strong fumigant toxicity. While in the contact tests, EOHGR showed the strongest toxicity effect on L. bostrychophila, with a LC

Abstract Background: Galeazzi fracture dislocation is a compound injury that encompasses fractures of the distal third of the radius and dislocation of the distal radial ulnar joint (DRUJ). Clinically, this condition is rare and often leads to distal ulnar bifurcation. In previous similar reports, patients were effectively managed through surgery.
Case presentation: In this case report, we describe an 11-year-old male child who presented with an ulnar bifida following trauma to the hand, and was treated with manipulation and conservative treatment without surgery. A follow-up performed over the years demonstrated that the patient recovered well, and had normal wrist movements without significant pain, and the patient expressed great satisfaction.
Conclusions: Ulnar diaphyseal fracture may occur in children or adolescents due to injuries, and may be accompanied with manipulation and repositioning. Conservative treatment can be applied to avoid the trauma associated with surgery especially in the absence of severe joint mobility impairment with good outcomes.

Abstract High-order harmonic generation (HHG) from the interaction of ultra-intense laser pulses with atoms is an important tabletop short-wave coherent light source. Accurate quantum simulations of it present large computational difficulties due to multi-electron multidimensional effects. In this paper, the time-dependent response of hydrogen atoms is calculated using a time-series prediction scheme, the HHG spectrum is reconstructed very accurately. The accuracy of the forecasting is further improved by using a neural network scheme. This scheme is also applied to the simulation of the harmonic emission on multi-electron systems, and the applicability of the scheme is confirmed by the harmonic calculation of complex systems. This method is expected to simulate the nonlinear dynamic process of multi-electron atoms and molecules irradiated by intense laser pulses quickly and accurately.
