Abstract Malignant Peripheral Nerve Sheath Tumour (MPNST) is a neoplastic lesion rarely reported in literature. In approximately 5% of cases it is associated with Neurofibromatosis type 1 syndrome. Pathognomic features of MPNST include slow growth rate, aggressive nature, nearly circumscribed, unencapsulated arising from non myelinated Schwann cells. In this case report we elaborate probable molecular pathogenesis, clinical features, histopathology (HPE) and radiological findings in a unique case of MPNST. A 52 year old female patient presented with Right cheek swelling, Loss of sensations over right maxillary region, U/L nasal obstruction and watery nasal discharge, palatal buldge and intermittent pain over right maxillary region and generalised headache. Following Magnetic resonance imaging studies (MRI scan) of paranasal sinuses, Biopsy was taken from maxillary mass and palatal swelling. HPE report was suggestive of Spindle cell proliferation against myxoid stroma. Positron Emmision Tomography (PET-Scan) was done and Biopsy specimen was subjected for Immunohistochemistry staining (IHC). After confirmation of MPNST on IHC, patient was referred to skull base surgeon for complete excision of the tumour and reconstruction.

Abstract Background: The burden of the COVID-19 pandemic on healthcare systems worldwide has been compromising the progress made in the fight against HIV. This paper aims to determine how the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted HIV comprehensive care service delivery globally as well as to consolidate the evidence and recommendations that may be useful in averting future crisis.
Methods: This review adheres to PRISMA guidelines. PubMed, DOAJ, Science Direct and other sources like Google Scholar and citations from included studies were searched methodically to locate studies evaluating the effects of COVID on services for HIV care. The NIH and JBI quality assessment tools were used for the quality assessment of individual studies.
Results: In the present review 31 eligible studies were included and the impact on HIV care cascade were summarised under six themes: Lab services, Treatment and allied services, Counselling services, Outreach services, Psycho-social impact and Implementation of sustainable strategies. The studies also presented many innovative alternatives which were lucidly highlighted in the present article.
Conclusion: Current evidence depicts multiple factors are responsible for the interruption of HIV care service delivery during the pandemic, especially in low resources settings. The prospective, alternative solutions that have been used to circumvent the threat have also been addressed in this review, in addition to the negative aspects that have been observed. Transition with new innovative, sustainable care paradigms may prove to be the building blocks in removing HIV-AIDS as a public health threat.

Abstract Background: Respondent-driven sampling (RDS) is a nonprobability sampling technique that allows the extrapolation of its outcome to the target population. This approach is typically used to overcome the difficulties in studying hidden or difficult-to-reach groups.
Objective: The purpose of this protocol is to generate a systematic review on the accumulation of biological and behavioral data of female sex workers (FSWs) through different surveys that use the RDS method from around the world in the near future. The future systematic review will discuss the initiation, actualization, and problems of RDS during the accumulation of biological and behavioral data of FSWs through surveys from around the world.
Methods: The behavior and biological data of FSWs will be extracted from peer-reviewed studies published between 2010 and 2022 and that are acquired through RDS. Using PubMed, Google Scholar, the Cochrane database, Scopus, Science Direct, and the Global Health network, all papers that are available will be obtained using the search phrases "respondent-driven" and "Female Sex Workers" OR "FSW" OR "sex workers" OR "SW." According to STROBE-RDS (Strengthening the Reporting of Observational Studies in Epidemiology for Respondent-Driven Sampling) criteria, the data will be retrieved through a data extraction form and will be organized using World Health Organization classifications of areas. The Newcastle-Ottawa Quality Assessment Scale will be used to measure bias risk and overall study quality.
Results: The future systematic review that will be generated from this protocol will offer evidence for or against the claim that using the RDS technique to recruit participants from "hidden" or "hard-to-reach" populations is the best strategy. The results will be disseminated through a peer-reviewed publication. Data collection started on April 1, 2023, and the systematic review is expected to be published by December 15, 2023.
Conclusions: A minimum set of parameters for specific methodological, analytical, and testing procedures, including RDS methods to evaluate the overall quality of any RDS survey, will be provided by the future systematic review, in accordance with this protocol, to assist researchers, policy makers, and service providers in improving RDS methods for the surveillance of any key population.

Abstract To maintain the performance quality, human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) in vitro diagnostic (IVD) kits are required to be evaluated by unbiased health regulatory organizations following predefined guidelines. The World Health Organization (WHO) prequalification is one such program for the evaluation of IVD assays. In the present systematic review and meta-analysis, we analyzed and compared the 17 WHO prequalified public reports of HIV IVDs to yield summarized information for performance parameters. Pooled sensitivity, pooled specificity, positive likelihood ratio, negative likelihood ratio, and diagnostic odds ratio were used as overall performance evaluation parameters. High (≥98%) and comparable levels of sensitivity and specificity were observed for most of the assays. In addition, the overall diagnostic efficiency was observed to attain high precision, as evident by the value of the area under the curve (AUC) for the hierarchical summary receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC ≥ 0.98).

Abstract Angiomatous nasal polyps are rare, benign and non-neoplastic lesions rarely reported in literature. Clinically and radiologically it mimics sinonasal neoplasm. In 5% of inflammatory or allergic sinonasal polyps, extensive vascularisation and ectasia with pseudoamyloid deposition is noted. Pathognomic features of ANP are angiogenesis, accumulation of amorphous eosinophilic substance and atypical stromal cells. In this case report we elaborate probable etiology, clinical features, histopathology (HPE) and radiological findings in a unique case of ANP which mimicked sinonasal mass. Patient presented with U/L nasal obstruction and recurrent episodes of epistaxis. He was operated for similar complaints 8 years ago, details of which were not available with the patient. Patient was recently diagnosed with Hypertension (HTN) and Diabetes Mellitus (DM). On Diagnostic Nasal endoscopy and Radiological imaging, the nasal mass appeared to be a sinonasal vascular lesion. Revision Functional endoscopic sinus surgery was done and on HPE, ANP was reported. Thus, we conclude that ANPs are rare pathological entity and can cause a significant diagnostic dilemma. Thorough knowledge about the clinical presentation and histopathological features is important in establishing an early definitive diagnosis. Also we have made an attempt to establish the possible role of DM and HTN in pathophysiology of ANP.

Abstract Efficient and fast detection of HIV infection is required to make the diagnosis more robust. Use of in vitro HIV diagnostic assays based on different methods are growing rapidly. To maintain quality and further upgradation, regular performance evaluation is required. Due to presence of huge number and types of commercially available kits, choice of implementation varies differentially. The present systematic review and meta-analysis is aimed to address the diagnostic performance of commercially available in vitro HIV assays in terms of pooled sensitivity, specificity, Positive Likelihood Ratio, Negative Likelihood Ratio, area under hierarchical summary receiver operating characteristic curve and diagnostic odds ratios, in global scenario. Total of 18 articles with 35 in vitro diagnostic serological assays including 29,713 samples were subjected for the present pooled analysis. In spite of higher heterogenicity [I

Abstract Background: Sexually transmitted infections (STIs) are one of the leading causes of health, and economic burdens in the developing world, leading to considerable morbidity, mortality, and stigma. The incidence and prevalence of the four curable STIs viz. syphilis, gonorrhoea, chlamydia, and trichomoniasis vary remarkably across different geographical locations. In India, the prevalence of four curable STI among general populations is in between 0 to 3.9 percent. However, it is assumed that STI prevalence is much higher among subpopulations practicing high-risk behaviour. Like men who have sex with men (MSM), transgender (TG), injecting drug users (IDU), and female sex workers (FSW).
Objectives: In the present circumstances, a systematic review is necessary to integrate the available data from previously published peer-reviewed articles and published reports from several competent authorities to provide the prevalence and geographical distribution of the four curable STIs among the key population of India.
Methods: All available articles will be retrieved from PubMed, Google Scholar, Cochrane database, Scopus, Science Direct, and the Global Health network using the appropriate search terms. The data will be extracted through data extraction form as per PICOS (population, intervention, comparison, outcome, study design) framework. Risk of bias and quality assessment will be performed according to the situation with the help of available conventional protocol.
Discussion: The future systematic review, generated from the present protocol, may provide evidence of the prevalence and geographical distribution of the four curable STIs among the key population of India. We hope that the findings of the future systematic review will strengthen the existing surveillance system in India, to determine the above-mention STIs prevalence among key populations in India. Abstract Elderly people living with HIV are increasing. At present in the United States, nearly half of newly diagnosed HIV-infected people are aged >50 years. Diagnosis and treatment of HIV-infected elderly patients tends to be delayed by several health care factors as several life-threatening diseases are common in elderly people. This study aimed to find the pooled HIV prevalence in elderly population and the present situation of continuum care for the elderly HIV patients through systematic review and meta-analysis. All previously published articles from 2000 to 2018 are retrieved using MEDLINE, PUBMED, Cochrane Library, EMBASE, and Google Scholar. DerSimonian and Laird Random Effects model are used to critically appraise articles. STATA 13.0 is used to perform the meta-analysis and quantum-geographic information system (Q-GIS) is used to prepare desired map.
