    Abstract Type 2 inflammation related diseases, such as atopic dermatitis, asthma, and allergic rhinitis, are diverse and affect multiple systems in the human body. It is common for individuals to have multiple co-existing type 2 inflammation related diseases, which can impose a significant financial and living burden on patients. However, the exact pathogenesis of these diseases is still unclear. The NLRP3 inflammasome is a protein complex composed of the NLRP3 protein, ASC, and Caspase-1, and is activated through various mechanisms, including the NF-κB pathway, ion channels, and lysosomal damage. The NLRP3 inflammasome plays a role in the immune response to pathogens and cellular damage. Recent studies have indicated a strong correlation between the abnormal activation of NLRP3 inflammasome and the onset of type 2 inflammation. Additionally, it has been demonstrated that suppressing NLRP3 expression effectively diminishes the inflammatory response, highlighting its promising therapeutic applications. Therefore, this article reviews the role of NLRP3 inflammasome in the development and therapy of multiple type 2 inflammation related diseases.

    Abstract Monitoring ground deformation in industrial parks is of great importance for the economic development of urban areas. However, limited research has been conducted on the deformation mechanism in industrial parks, and there is a lack of integrated monitoring and prediction models. Therefore, this study proposes a comprehensive monitoring and prediction model for industrial parks, utilizing time-series Interferometry Synthetic Aperture Radar (InSAR) technology and the Whale Optimization Algorithm-Back Propagation (WOA-BP) neural network algorithm. Taking Yinxi Industrial Park in Baiyin District as a case study, we used 68 scenes of Sentinel-1A ascending and descending orbit data from June 2018 to April 2021. The Stanford Method for Persistent Scatterers-Permanent Scatterers (StaMPS-PS) and the Small Baseline Subsets-Interferometry Synthetic Aperture Radar (SBAS-InSAR) technologies were employed to obtain the surface deformation information of the park. The deformation information obtained by the two technologies was cross-validated in terms of temporal and spatial distribution, and the vertical and east-west deformation of the park was obtained by combining the ascending and descending orbit data. The results show that the deformation feature points in the line of sight (LOS) direction obtained by the two technologies have a high consistency in spatial distribution, using the ascending orbit data as an example. Additionally, the SBAS-InSAR technology was used to obtain the east-west and vertical deformation results of the park after merging the ascending and descending orbit data for the same period. It was found that the park is mainly affected by vertical deformation, with a maximum subsidence rate of 14.67 mm/yr. The subsidence areas correspond to the deformation positions observed in field survey photos.     Abstract Objective: Circular ribose nucleic acids (circRNAs) are implicated in tumor progression and drug resistance of prostate cancer (PCa). The current work explored the function of circ_0005203 (circTHSD4) in the malignancy and docetaxel (DTX) resistance of PCa.
    Methods: circTHSD4 expression within PCa as well as matched non-carcinoma samples was measured through real-time reverse transcription-quantitative polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR). In addition, a subcellular fraction assay was conducted to determine circTHSD4 subcellular localization within PCa cells. In addition, we performed a Western blot (WB) assay to detect high-mobility-group A2 protein (HMGA2) levels. Besides, functional associations of two molecules were investigated through dual luciferase reporter assay. Cell Counting Kit (CCK)-8, colony formation together with Transwell assay was conducted to assess malignant phenotypes of PCa cells, whereas flow cytometry was performed to determine cell apoptosis. Furthermore, a xenograft mouse model was constructed to verify the effect of circTHSD4 on the carcinogenesis of PCa cells.
    Results: According to RT-qPCR results, circTHSD4 was up-regulated within PCa tissues and cells, which predicted the dismal prognostic outcome of PCa cases. circTHSD4 silencing within PCa cells markedly suppressed cell growth, migration, and colony formation. circTHSD4 silencing remarkably elevated PCa cell apoptosis and carcinogenesis within the xenograft model. Further, circTHSD4 silencing enhanced docetaxel (DTX) sensitivity in PCa cells. Furthermore, we demonstrated that circTHSD4 modulated the malignancy of PCa cells by regulating HMGA2 expression through sponging miR-203.
    Conclusion: Together, our findings suggest that circTHSD4 overexpression could promote the malignant phenotype and DTX resistance in PCa through the regulation of the miR-203/HMGA2 axis.

    Abstract The causality of ease of skin tanning and radiation-related disorders of the skin and subcutaneous tissue with basal cell carcinoma (BCC) remains unclear. Our objective was to investigate whether ease of skin tanning and radiation-related disorders of the skin and subcutaneous tissue have a relation with the occurrence and development of BCCs. In this work, independent genetic variants strongly associated (P < 5e-08) with ease of skin tanning and radiation-related disorders of the skin and subcutaneous tissue were selected as instrumental variables from corresponding genome-wide association studies (GWASs). Summary-level data for BCC was obtained from the European Bioinformatics Institute (EBI). Two-sample univariable and multivariable Mendelian randomization (MR) were performed. Sensitivity analyses were preformed via MR-Egger regression, heterogeneity test, pleiotropy test, and leave-one-out sensitivity test. We observed positive causal effect both for ease of skin tanning [odds ratio (OR) = 2.102, 95% confidence interval (CI) = 1.915-2.306, P = 2.71e-55] and radiation-related disorders of the skin and subcutaneous (OR = 1.603, 95% CI = 1.483-1.734, P = 3.41e-32) on occurrence of BCCs based on univariable MR analyses. In the multivariable mendelian randomization (MVMR) analysis of BCC risk, we also observed a direct causal effect of ease of skin tanning (ORMVMR = 1.623, 95% CI = 1.445-1.824, PMVMR =3.41e-16) and radiation-related disorders of the skin and subcutaneous (ORMVMR = 1.208, 95% CI = 1.107-1.319, PMVMR = 2.46e-05) on BCCs. The findings suggest that the high risk of BCCs can be attributed to ease of skin tanning and radiation-related disorders of the skin and subcutaneous tissue.

    Abstract Atopic dermatitis is a chronic inflammatory skin disease characterised by recurrent eczema-like lesions and severe pruritus, along with drying and decrustation of skin. Current research relates the pathogenesis of atopic dermatitis mainly to genetic susceptibility, abnormal skin barrier function, immune disorders, Staphylococcus aureus colonisation, microbiological dysfunction and vitamin D insufficiency. Epigenetic modifications are distinct genetic phenotypes resulting from environment-driven changes in chromosome functions in the absence of nuclear DNA sequence variation. Classic epigenetic events include DNA methylation, histone protein modifications and non-coding RNA regulation. Increasing evidence has indicated that epigenetic events are involved in the pathogenesis of atopic dermatitis by their effects on multiple signalling pathways which in turn influence the above factors. This review primarily analyses the function of epigenetic regulation in the pathogenesis of atopic dermatitis. In addition, it tries to make recommendations for personalised epigenetic treatment strategies for atopic dermatitis in the future.

    Abstract A reasonable evaluation of the ecological risk status of the landscape in the Yellow River source area is of practical significance for optimizing the regional landscape pattern and maintaining ecosystem function. To explore the regional heterogeneity of ecological risk in the watershed landscape, a landscape ecological risk evaluation model is constructed to evaluate the ecological risk status of the watershed for 20 years, and correlation analysis is used to further reveal the characteristics of the relationship between ecological risk and land use. The results show that the rapid expansion of urbanization and the increasing intensity of land development and use has caused significant changes in the Yellow River source area ecological environment and various land use types. The area of grassland decreased the most, by a total of 6160.04 km 2 , while the area of unused land increased the most, by a total of 2930.27 km 2 . A total of 12,453.11 km 2 of land in the Yellow River source area was transformed, accounting for 9.52% of the total area. The most significant area of grassland was transferred out, accounting for 49.47% of the transferred area. During the study period, the proportion of area in the low-risk zone decreased from 54.75% to 36.35%, the proportion of area in the medium-low-risk zone increased from 21.75% to 31.74%, and the proportion of area in the medium-high-risk and high-risk zones increased from 10.63% to 14.38%. The high-risk areas are mainly located in areas with fragmented landscapes and are vulnerable to human activities. The mean ecological risk values in the study area show an increasing trend, and the spatial distribution shows a hierarchical distribution of “lower around the center and higher in the center”.
