Abstract A proven and promising method to improve the catalytic performance of single-atom catalysts through the interaction between bimetallic atoms to change the active surface sites or adjust the catalytic sites of reactants is reported. In this work, we used an iron-platinum bimetallic reagent as the metal source to precisely synthesise covalent organic framework-derived diatomic catalysts (FePt-DAC/NC). Benefiting from the coordination between the two metal atoms, the presence of Pt single atoms can successfully regulate Fe-N

Abstract Crystallization selectivity is an important principle in polymorph control. Ribavirin Form I, Form II, DMSO solvate, and amorphous ribavirin are prepared, and the short-range order similarities between these solid forms and ribavirin aqueous solution and DMSO solution are compared via mid-frequency Raman difference spectra (MFRDS). The crystallization process from amorphous ribavirin to Form I and from solution to amorphous phase is explained. Reasons for the difficulty in preparing the DMSO solvate are proposed. The rationale provided for the crystallization selectivity provides a foundation for the synthesis of metastable phases with a robust and convenient method.

Abstract Background: Mucor infection cannot be ignored in patients with pulmonary shadowing with cavitation. This paper reports a case of mucormycosis during the COVID-19 pandemic in Hubei Province, China.
Methods: An anesthesiology doctor was initially diagnosed as COVID-19 due to changes in lung imaging. After anti-infective, anti-viral, and symptomatic supportive treatment, some of symptoms were relieved. But some symptoms -'chest pain and discomfort', accompanied by chest sulking and short breath after activities, did not ease. At last, Lichtheimia ramose was detected later by metagenomic next generation sequencing (mNGS) in the bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF).
Results: After adjusting amphotericin B for anti-infective treatment, the patient's infection lesions were shrunk and the symptoms were significantly relieved.
Conclusions: The diagnosis of invasive fungal infections is very difficult, and mNGS can make an accurate pathogenic diagnosis of invasive fungal diseases for the clinic and provide a basis for clinical treatment.

Abstract The soil organic carbon pool of farmland is the only carbon pool that can be appropriately adjusted by rational utilization in a short time scale. High precision mapping of soil organic carbon is helpful to further enhance the potential of regional soil carbon sequestration, analyze the geographical environment background, and promote carbon trading and carbon neutralization. This study, The study took Guangdong Province as the study area, which was divided into 13 comprehensive characteristic zones on medium and large spatial scale. The variable structure of soil organic carbon spatial differentiation in farmland was determined by Geodetector, and hierarchical multivariate composite models(MCM) was constructed. According to the data of 208 503 soil sampling points, we chart a highprecision spatial distribution map of soil organic carbon density in the study area. The results show that comprehensive feature zoning on a medium and large spatial scale, which was carried out by coupling natural geographical characteristics with socio-economic characteristics, and introducing multidistance spatial clustering, can significantly converge the degree of sample dispersion. The mean standard deviation and mean variance of soil organic carbon samples decrease by 0.55 and 3.53 respectively, and Moran's I index increase by 0.08. Under the dual influence of natural environment and human disturbance, there are many variables of spatial variation of soil organic carbon in farmland, and the variable structure in different comprehensive characteristic zones is quite different. Average annual precipitation, altitude, terrain slope and other variables play a significant role in mountainous and hilly areas, but not in plain and hilly areas. However, variables such as land use modes and soil physical and chemical properties have extensive and significant influence on different characteristic zoning. The hierarchical multivariate composite model based on Geodetector better solves the contradiction between the synchronous expression of spatial differentiation law and spatial mutation of soil organic carbon in medium and large-scale and complex scenarios, and suppresses the increase of multivariable interpolation noise. Its comprehensive accuracy is 6.45%, 10.45% and 7.50% higher than geographically weighted regression model-Kriging(GWRK), radial basis function neural network(RBFNN), ordinary Kriging (OK)respectively. With the support of high-density sample set, the high precision soil organic carbon map of Guangdong Province integrates the methods of regional comprehensive feature zoning, Geodetector and hierarchical multivariate composite models. Its prediction results are accurate and the spatial details are clearly expressed, which explores an effective path for compiling the large-scale spatial soil organic carbon distribution map.

Abstract Amylose content (AC) is the main factor determining the palatability, viscosity, transparency, and digestibility of rice (Oryza sativa) grains. AC in rice grains is mainly controlled by different alleles of the Waxy (Wx) gene. The AP2/EREBP transcription factor OsEBP89 interacts with the MYC‐like protein OsBP5 to synergistically regulate the expression of Wx. Here, we determined that the GLYCOGEN SYNTHASE KINASE 5 (OsGSK5, also named SHAGGY‐like kinase 41 [OsSK41]) inhibits the transcriptional activation activity of OsEBP89 in rice grains during amylose biosynthesis. The loss of OsSK41 function enhanced Wx expression and increased AC in rice grains. By contrast, the loss of function of OsEBP89 reduced Wx expression and decreased AC in rice grains. OsSK41 interacts with OsEBP89 and phosphorylates four of its sites (Thr‐28, Thr‐30, Ser‐238, and Thr‐257), which makes OsEBP89 unstable and attenuates its interaction with OsBP5. Wx promoter activity was relatively weak when regulated by the phosphomimic variant OsEBP89ᴱ–OsBP5 but relatively strong when regulated by the nonphosphorylatable variant OsEBP89ᴬ–OsBP5. Therefore, OsSK41‐mediated phosphorylation of OsEBP89 represents an additional layer of complexity in the regulation of amylose biosynthesis during rice grain development. In addition, our findings provide four possible sites for regulating rice grain AC via precise gene editing.
