    Abstract Background: Evidence has increased in recent years regarding the potential for ketamine to serve as a novel treatment option for a range of conditions, particularly depression (unipolar and bipolar). However, research regarding ketamine as a potential therapeutic for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is lacking, despite high overlap with bipolar depression and theoretical foundations for its use.
    Case presentation: A 29-year-old man with bipolar disorder and Autism Spectrum Disorder, type 2 diabetes, presented with mood swings and suicidal thoughts, and anger outbursts occurring daily. The patient was referred by a psychiatrist due to irritability and outbursts during the previous 5 months. These outbursts were unable to be controlled by the medications prescribed, included yelling and screaming, and the patient was unable to speak with the psychiatrist. The patient underwent ketamine assisted psychotherapy with 6 initial IV infusions of ketamine over a 1 month period followed by 2 booster IV ketamine infusions. Following ketamine treatment, dramatic reductions in outbursts were observed as well as reductions in anxiety, suicidality, and depression scores.
    Conclusion: This case study adds to the scant literature regarding ketamine treatment for individuals with bipolar disorder and ASD. We did not find ASD to be a contraindication for IV ketamine and ketamine assisted psychotherapy. Reductions in anger outbursts, anxiety, suicidality, and depression suggest ketamine treatment might be tailored to individuals with bipolar disorder and ASD, and additional systematized research is warranted. Although potential mechanisms of action are not clear, these data add to the discussion regarding clinical practice considerations and the potential for ketamine to improve quality of life and associated metrics.

    Abstract Porous liquids are an emerging class of microporous materials where intrinsic, stable porosity is imbued in a liquid material. Many porous liquids are prepared by dispersing porous solids in bulky solvents; these can be contrasted by the method of dissolving microporous molecules. We highlight the latter "Type II" porous liquids-which are stable thermodynamic solutions with demonstrable colligative properties. This feature significantly impacts the ultimate utility of the liquid for various end-use applications. We also describe a facile method for determining if a Type II porous liquid candidate is "porous" based on assessing the partial molar volume of the porous host molecule dissolved in the solvent by measuring the densities of candidate solutions.     Abstract Background: The availability of circulating biomarkers that are predictive of treatment response or prognostic of overall outcome could enable the personalised and adaptive use of radiotherapy (RT) in patients with oesophageal adenocarcinoma (OAC) and squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC).
    Methods: A systematic review was carried out following Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews guidance. Medline, EMBASE, PubMed, Cochrane Library, CINAHL, Scopus and the Web of Science databases were searched for studies published between January 2005-February 2023 relating to circulating biomarkers evaluated in the context of neoadjuvant or definitive RT delivered for OAC/OSCC. Study quality was assessed using predefined criteria.
    Results: A total of 3012 studies were screened and 57 subsequently included, across which 61 biomarkers were reported. A majority (43/57,75.4%) of studies were of Asian origin and retrospective (40/57, 70.2%), with most (52/57, 91.2%) biomarkers reported in the context of patients with OSCC. There was marked inter-study heterogeneity in patient populations, treatment characteristics, biomarker measurement and the cut points used to define biomarker positivity. Nevertheless, there is evidence for the prognostic and predictive value of circulating tumour DNA and numerous miRNAs in OAC and OSCC, as well as for the prognostic and predictive value of circulating levels of CYFRA21.1 in OSCC.
    Conclusions: There is consistent evidence for the potential predictive and prognostic value of a small number of biomarkers in OSCC and OAC, though these data are insufficient for translation to current clinical practice. Well-designed prospective studies are now required to validate their role in stratified and personalised RT treatment approaches.

    Abstract Background: In a flipped, required first-year drug information course, students were taught the systematic approach to answering drug information questions, commonly utilized resources, and literature searching. As co-coordinator, a librarian taught three weeks of the course focused on mobile applications, development of literature searching skills, and practicing in PubMed. Course assignments were redesigned in 2019 based on assessment best practices and replaced weekly multiple-choice quizzes used in prior iterations of the course.
    Case presentation: Following two weeks of literature searching instruction, students were assigned a drug information question that would serve as the impetus for the search they conducted. Students (n=66) had one week to practice and record a screencast video of their search in PubMed. Students narrated their video with an explanation of the actions being performed and were assessed using a twenty-point rubric created by the course coordinator and librarian. The librarian also created general feedback videos for each question by recording screencasts while performing the literature searches and clarifying troublesome aspects for students. The librarian spent about twenty-four hours grading and six hours writing scripts, recording, and editing feedback videos.
    Conclusion: Most students performed well on the assignment and few experienced technical difficulties. Instructors will use this assignment and feedback method in the future. Screencast videos proved an innovative way to assess student knowledge and to provide feedback on literature searching assignments. This method is transferrable to any medical education setting and could be used across all health professions to improve information literacy skills.
