Abstract Over the last 75 years, our understanding of Spitz lesions has undergone substantial evolution. Initially considered a specific type of melanoma, the perception has shifted towards recognizing Spitz lesions as a spectrum comprising Spitz nevi, Spitz melanocytomas, and Spitz melanomas. Spitz lesions are known for posing a significant diagnostic challenge regarding the distinction between benign neoplasms displaying atypical traits and melanomas. A comprehensive understanding of their molecular basis and genomic aberrations has significantly improved precision in classifying and diagnosing these challenging lesions. The primary aim of this review is to encapsulate the current understanding of the molecular pathogenesis and distinct clinicopathologic characteristics defining this intriguing set of tumors.

Abstract Abstract: Epithelioid hemangioma (EH) is a benign vascular tumor displaying diverse histomorphologies. Among these, one EH subtype comprises cellular sheets of atypical epithelioid cells, posing potential challenges in distinguishing it from malignant vascular lesions. In this case report, we present a cutaneous cellular EH that carries the rare GATA6::FOXO1 gene fusion, a recent discovery. Our aim is to provide an updated insight into the evolving knowledge of EHs while delving into the histologic and molecular characteristics of the primary differential diagnoses.

Abstract A 78 years-old woman was found with worsening hypercalcemia, osteopenia and memory loss during the past 2 years. Multiple, repeated imaging studies failed to reveal the etiology of the primary hyperparathyroidism. Bilateral neck exploration revealed a 4.5 × 2.3 cm right superior parathyroid adenoma in an ectopic position.

Abstract Objectives: To assess the relationship of diet with health-related quality of life (HRQoL) in vulnerable children and adolescents.
Methods: Data included 6583 children and adolescents (aged 3-18 years old) from the Greek Food-Aid DIATROFI Program in the 2015 to 2016 and 2017 to 2018 school years. HRQoL was measured with the Pediatric Quality of Life Inventory questionnaire and diet with food frequency questionnaires. The healthy plant-based diet index (hPDI), animal score, and dietary patterns were investigated.
Results: The hPDI and animal score were associated with good HRQoL (odds ratio [OR] [95% confidence interval], 10-unit increase: OR
Conclusion: Healthy diets and dietary patterns were positively associated with the HRQoL of vulnerable children and adolescents, which may offer opportunities for prevention.
