Abstract Artificial intelligence techniques provide more possibilities for supply chain transformations in the face of global warming and environmental degradation. This study examines the Cournot game model of two competing supply chains with various carbon emission technologies as well as the possibility of upgrading machine learning technology. The investment risk of a supply chain's technology upgrade is either symmetric or asymmetric information. In the case of symmetric information, results show that the machine learning technology upgrade risk does not affect the market equilibrium outcomes of the duopoly model. However, in the case of asymmetric information, technology upgrade risk is vital in determining the quantities and prices of competition equilibrium. To achieve the goal of green supply chain transformation, the government should provide more technology and financial support to traditional supply chains to upgrade their machine learning technology on carbon emissions.

Abstract This study aims to investigate the role and mechanism of ubiquitin-specific protease 3 (USP3) in cisplatin (DDP) in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). USP3 expression in NSCLC cells was detected using reverse transcription quantitative PCR and Western blot. DDP-resistant cells were constructed and cell counting kit-8 assay determined the IC50 of cells to DDP. USP3 expression was silenced in DDP-resistant cells, followed by detection of cell proliferation by clone formation assay, iron ion contents, ROS, MDA, and GSH levels by kits, GPX4 and ACSL4 protein expressions by Western blot. The binding between USP3 and ACOT7 was analyzed using Co-IP, and the ubiquitination level of ACOT7 was measured. USP3 and ACOT7 were highly expressed in NSCLC cells and further increased in drug-resistant cells. USP3 silencing reduced the IC50 of cells to DDP and diminished the number of cell clones. Moreover, USP3 silencing suppressed GSH and GPX4 levels, upregulated iron ion contents, ROS, MDA, and ACSL4 levels, and facilitated ferroptosis. Mechanistically, USP3 upregulated ACOT7 protein expression through deubiquitination. ACOT7 overexpression alleviated the promoting effect of USP7 silencing on ferroptosis in NSCLC cells and enhanced DDP resistance. To conclude, USP3 upregulated ACOT7 protein expression through deubiquitination, thereby repressing ferroptosis in NSCLC cells and enhancing DDP resistance.

Abstract Traditional regeneration of activated carbon is usually carried out by high-temperature oxidation in industrial processes, which reduces the quality and performance of the adsorbent, thereby increasing costs and damaging the environment. In this study, a simple drying process is proposed to enable reuse of spent activated carbon. The feasibility and merits of this method were evaluated in batch and continuous adsorption modes using dyes as adsorbates. The batch adsorption results showed that the activated carbon could be reused seven times after a simple drying process, because it led to full occupancy of the activated carbon pores by adsorbate molecules. The cumulative adsorption capacities of the activated carbon were as high as 1005.3 mg/g for methyl orange (MO) and 954.8 mg/g for methylene blue (MB). Continuous adsorption experiments in a fixed-bed column demonstrated that the activated carbon column could be reused more than three times after simply drying. Moreover, dye molecules adsorbed by the activated carbon were not leached by the stream of dye solution during reuse. This drying method exhibits three main merits for reuse of activated carbon, including (1) remarkably reduced consumption of fresh activated carbon to 51.5% or below, (2) significantly increased recovery of high-value adsorbate from the liquid phase, and (3) potential integration of multiple steps for industrial adsorption processes.

Abstract Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) is the most malignant subtype of breast cancer. Currently, chemotherapy remains to be the primary treatment for TNBC, but drug resistance is common while patient prognosis is poor. With the development of proteomics technology, phosphoproteomics research has made great progress and has been widely used in the study of tumor mechanism, diagnosis and treatment. Similarly, phosphoproteomics plays a significant role in the studies of the occurrence, development, targeted therapy, and drug resistance mechanisms of TNBC. This article summarizes the research progress of phosphoproteomics in TNBC, with the aim to facilitate the research on the mechanism and treatment of TNBC based on phosphoproteomics.
