Title translation Aerobic exercise and fatigue indices in rheumatoid arthritis patients in the health resort care setting.
Abstract Fatigue is one of the most common symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis (RA). There is strong evidence that physical activity is an effective way to reduce fatigue.
Objective: To evaluate the effectiveness of aerobic exercise (walking) to reduce fatigue in RA patients in the health resort setting.
Material and methods: The study involved 102 female patients with RA (age 54.38±11.3 years, body mass index 20-29 kg/m
Results: A correlation between walking duration and the number of steps at a distance of 50 m (
Conclusion: Aerobic exercise is a promising intervention for treating fatigue in rheumatoid arthritis patients. Medical rehabilitation in a resort setting is the best starting point to encourage performing regular physical activity, as well as the best way to develop exercise programs tailored to rheumatoid arthritis patients.

Abstract The numerical simulation of the development of a streamer discharge in a gap with an external longitudinal magnetic field was used to demonstrate the self-focusing of such discharges. Self-focusing is caused by a sharp deceleration of the radial ionization wave due to a change in the electron energy distribution function, a decrease in the average electron energy, the rate of gas ionization, and the electron mobility in crossed electric and magnetic fields as compared to the case of the discharge development without a magnetic field. The self-focusing effect of a streamer discharge in an external longitudinal magnetic field is observed for both positive and negative pulse polarities. The paper proposes an estimate of the critical value of the magnetic field, which makes it possible to control the development of pulsed high-voltage discharges at various gas pressures.

Abstract The wheat plants were pretreated with the selective herbicide Serrate ® (Syngenta) and subsequently subjected to drought or flooding stress for 7 days. The gas exchange parameters, chlorophyll a fluorescence and leaf pigment content were measured. The measurements were performed during the stress period and after 4 days of plants recovery. Herbicide pretreatment did not cause significant alterations in photosynthesis and fluorescence parameters in alone- or combined-treated seedlings. A significant reduction in gas exchange parameters (net photosynthesis rate, stomatal conductance, transpiration rate, and water use efficiency), F v /F m and F v /F 0 values during drought or flooding was observed. The disruption of photosynthesis together with reduction in the pigment content was stronger in droughted than flooded plants. When the normal irrigation was restored, the gas exchange and fluorescence parameters tended to increase. The comparative analysis of recovery and resilience indices of photosynthetic traits indicate that the plants subjected to drought recovered better than those subjected to flooding stress.

Abstract Background. Acute pancreatitis retains its leading position in the structure of urgent abdominal pathology, maintaining a high postoperative mortality, despite the emergence of new methods of surgical treatment. The aim of the study: to evaluate pathomorphological changes in the pancreas, surrounding organs and tissues, clinical manifestations in dynamics after local cryotherapy on the pancreas in animals with experimental pancreatic necrosis for subsequent use of the method in clinical practice.Material and methods. An experimental study was performed on Wistar rats, in the main group, pancreatic necrosis was simulated with subsequent cryotherapy, in the control group, pancreatic necrosis was simulated and simple pancreatic mobilization was performed, in the third group, cryotherapy was performed on an unchanged gland. With the help of modern statistical methods, the effectiveness and safety of cryotherapy techniques were evaluated.Results. The optimal duration of cryoapplication is an interval of 3–4 seconds at a temperature of –195.75 °C, it is not accompanied by the formation of a cryonecrosis zone, promotes the regeneration of acinuses, does not damage the accumulation of endocrine cells, interrupting the course of pancreonecrosis, does not lead to a fatal outcome, a pronounced adhesive process, other serious intraabdominal complications.Conclusion. Cryotherapy on the pancreas in experimental pancreatic necrosis in the optimal temperature-time regime is accompanied by significantly lower mortality, is a safe technique and can be tested in clinical practice for the treatment of patients with this pathology.
