Abstract Superhydrophobic coatings are essential to prepare water-repellent surfaces, self-cleaning materials, etc. Silica nano-materials are often immobilized to different surfaces for imparting super-hydrophobicity. Direct coating of silica-nanoparticles is often challenging since it can easily be peeled off under different environments. Herein, we reported the use of properly functionalized polyurethanes to facilitate the strong binding of silica-nanoparticles to surfaces. The alkyne terminal polyurethane was synthesized by step-growth polymerization while click-reactions facilitated to post-functionalization using phenyl moiety and were characterized by

Abstract Bone marrow aspirate concentrate (BMAC) therapy has been spotlighted as a promising regenerative tool with its abundant source of mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs) and growth factors. The spectrum of the utility of BMAC therapy has been expanding day by day to harness the potential for varied therapeutic purposes. In the due course of its evolution, it is often essential to have a comprehensive summary of progress to have a greater understanding and refine our future directives. With technological developments such as data mining, graphic drawing and information analytics combined with computational statistics, visualization of scientific metrology has become a reality. With this newer perspective, we intend to use scientometric tools including text mining, cocitation analysis, keyword analysis and cluster network analysis to perform thematic trend mapping and hotspot analysis of the literature on BMAC therapy and evaluate its progress in the management of osteoarthritis.

Abstract Intramural esophageal abscess is a rare entity caused by mucosal injury to the esophagus but without transmural perforation. The mucosal disruption provides access to the intraluminal infectious contents to traverse into the loose submucosal tissue, resulting in an intramural abscess. It is important to be well-versed in the clinical and imaging findings of this pathology in order to make a timely diagnosis. Here, we present a case of intramural esophageal abscess complicated with a pleural fistula with a focus on the radiological features of this rare entity. To our knowledge, this is the first time that an esophageal intramural abscess complicated with pleural fistula is discussed in peer-reviewed literature.

Abstract Objectives: Left bundle branch pacing (LBBP) provides physiological pacing at low and stable threshold. The safety and efficacy of LBBP in elderly population is unknown. Our study was designed to assess the safety, efficacy and electrophysiological parameters of LBBP in octogenarian (≥80 years) population.
Results: LBBP was successful in 10 out of 11 patients. Mean age 82.1 ± 2.5 yrs. Follow up duration 7.7 months(range4-10). Indication for pacing included atrioventricular (AV) block 5 patients, Left bundle branch block (LBBB) with low ejection fraction (EF) 4 patients, sinus node dysfunction in 1. QRS duration reduced from 145.9 ± 27.7ms to 107.1 ± 9.5ms (p value0.00001) LV ejection fraction increased from 47.6% to 58.4% after LBBP (p value0.017). Pacing threshold was 0.58 ± 0.22 V and sensed R wave 17.35 ± 6.5 mV and it remained stable during follow up. LBBB with low EF patients also showed similar reduction in QRS duration along with improvement in LVEF.
Conclusion: LBBP is a safe and effective strategy (91% acute success) of physiological pacing in elderly patients. LBBP also provided effective resynchronization therapy in our small group of elderly patients. The pacing parameters remained stable over a period of 10 months follow up.

Abstract A novel heterocyclic organic compound, 4-Acetamido benzoic acid (4AMBA) had a wide range of applications in the field of drug discovery arena. The molecular structural stability conformation had been carried out using the Molecular Potential Energy Surface (MPES) scan with chosen suitable dihedral angle. For both the calculated and experimental procedures, the identifications of the chemical bonds of pertinent functional groups were investigated using spectral measurements (FT-IR and FT-Raman). The DFT/B3LYP/6–311++G(d,p) basis set, which is a highly compatible technique, was implemented to execute the quantum computational studies. Further, to enhance the molecular (inter and intra) interactions, reactivity regions between the atoms were performed using reactivity sites such as MEP, NBO, NLMO, NHO, and Hirshfeld surface analysis. In addition, the topological analysis for the various solvents and the electronic properties of the appropriate wavelength, the energy gap of the UV–Visible spectrum (both theoretical (various solvents) and experimental), FMO theories (HOMO and LUMO) energies and topological analyses were attained. The significant features that explain the biological behavior of the header composite were computed with the least possible binding energy using protein-ligand interactions with appropriate protein receptors, such as 1J1R, 1G1K, and 1J1Q.
