Abstract Phase diagrams of materials are typically based on a static order parameter, but it faces challenges when distinguishing subtle phase changes, such as re-ordering. Here, we report a dynamic nonequilibrium order parameter termed re-order parameter to determine subtle phases and their transitions in interacting magnets. The dynamical precession of magnetization, so-called magnon, premises as a reliable re-order parameter of strong spin-orbit coupled magnets. We employ orthoferrites YFeO

Title translation Applications of Artificial Intelligence in Mammography from a Development and Validation Perspective.
Abstract Mammography is the primary imaging modality for breast cancer detection; however, a high level of expertise is needed for its interpretation. To overcome this difficulty, artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms for breast cancer detection have recently been investigated. In this review, we describe the characteristics of AI algorithms compared to conventional computer-aided diagnosis software and share our thoughts on the best methods to develop and validate the algorithms. Additionally, several AI algorithms have introduced for triaging screening mammograms, breast density assessment, and prediction of breast cancer risk have been introduced. Finally, we emphasize the need for interest and guidance from radiologists regarding AI research in mammography, considering the possibility that AI will be introduced shortly into clinical practice.

Abstract Background: Mitochondrial encephalomyopathy with lactic acidosis and stroke-like episodes (MELAS) syndrome is a multi-organ disorder resulting from mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) mutations. We report a case of suspected MELAS syndrome that progressed to left ventricular dysfunction 24 years after an initial diagnosis of atrioventricular block (AVB).
Case summary: A 51-year-old woman was referred to heart failure clinic because of dyspnoea on exertion and progressive cardiomegaly. She had a dual-chamber pacemaker implanted for 24 years because of a high-degree AVB. She was treated for diabetes mellitus for 23 years and used hearing aids for 12 years because of sensorineural hearing loss. Transthoracic echocardiography revealed reduced left ventricular ejection fraction (26%), with increased thickness and unusual texture of the myocardium. The absence of abnormal findings on serum and urine protein electrophoresis suggested that light-chain amyloidosis was unlikely. In addition,
Discussion: The patient had progressed to heart failure with reduced ejection fraction 24 years after the first cardiac manifestation. An identification of the mutation in the

Abstract Hierarchical functional organic-inorganic hybrid particles for versatile control of surface wettability have attracted much attention in a wide range of applications from makeup cosmetics to anti-smudging optoelectronic devices. In this study, superhydrophobic and oleophobic organic-inorganic hybrid particles were prepared by a simple and systematic fabrication strategy using the synergistic combination of commonly available silica particles and polydimethylsiloxanes (PDMSs) with hydrophobic chain ends. Various types of PDMSs with different chain lengths and chemical structures were surface-grafted to silica microparticles through facile physical dispersion and subsequent thermal treatment to form hydrogen bonds or covalent bonds between the inorganic silica and organic PDMS polymers and thus induce a core-shell structure for the hybrid particles, which imparts superhydrophobicity and oleophobicity to the surface of silica particles. The prepared PDMS-coated silica hybrid particles with long PDMS chains exhibited a water contact angle of 151.2° and an oil contact angle of 15.2° due to the rough surface morphology and hydrophobic long-chain effects. Furthermore, the resulting organic-inorganic hybrid particles were thermally stable up to 420 °C. This controlled approach endowed the organic-inorganic hybrid particles with both superhydrophobic and oleophobic surfaces and, therefore, these particles were proven to be suitable for waterproof applications.
