    Abstract The subdivision of Ladinian and Carnian strata in Guizhou, South China has been a matter of intense debate because of the paucity of age-diagnostic faunas. Here we have carried out a detailed conodont biostratigraphic investigation on the Yangliujing, Zhuganpo and Wayao formations in the Yongyue section of western Guizhou Province. Conodonts are only prolific in the Zhuganpo and Wayao formations. Three genera and twenty species are identified, including two new species Quadralella wanlanensis n. sp. and Quadralella yongyueensis n. sp. They represent a rather endemic fauna of latest Ladinian to early Carnian age. Four conodont zones are established. They are, in the ascending order, the Paragondolella foliata, Quadralella polygnathiformis, Quadralella tadpole, and Quadralella aff. praelindae zones.Thus in the study area, the Zhuganpo Formation is generally of early Carnian (Julian 1) age whilst the Wayao Formation probably extends from the Julian 2 into the late Carnian (Tuvalian substage). The Ladinian–Carnian boundary (LCB) cannot be precisely defined due to the absence of the ammonoid Daxatina Canadensis and the paucity of conodonts. However, the LCB is unlikely lower than the Yangliujing–Zhuganpo formation contact. The Julian 1–Julian 2 (early Carnian) substages boundary is defined in the uppermost Zhuganpo Formation by the occurrence of basal Julian 2 ammonoid Austrotrachyceras ex gr. A. austriacum and is also evidenced by the disappearance of most short-range Julian 1 conodonts in the overlying Wayao Formation.

    Abstract Objective: To analyze the event and cause of vaccine derived polio virus (VDPV) circle happened at Yaoshang Village, Wanlan Township, Zhenfeng County, Qianxinan Prefecture, Guizhou Province in August 2004.
    Methods: Virus isolation was performed for stool specimens collected from two children cases with acute flaccid paralysis (AFP) reported at Yaoshang Village and 21 normal children under five years old in the same village. And, routine immunization coverage at the Village and AFP incidence and performance of AFP surveillance system in Zhenfeng County were investigated, as well.
    Results: Vaccine derived polio virus 1 (VDPV1) was identified in the feces of two affected children at Yaoshang Village and three other normal children at the same village. Totally, seven cases of AFP have been underreported in Zhenfeng County since 2002. Routine immunization coverage was rather low at Wanlan Township, and nearly nil at Yaoshang Village.
    Conclusions: Oral polio vaccine (OPV) with attenuated live virus has been used in China for many years to prevent polio. Circulation of VDPV in Zhenfeng County issues a new challenge to eradication of polio. It is necessary to strengthen routine immunization and AFP surveillance to prevent occurrence of VDPV event.

    Abstract The mechanism of the Ni-Al bimetallic-catalyzed C-H cyclization to construct tricyclic imidazoles is investigated using density functional theory calculations. The calculation result shows that the reaction mechanism involves sequential steps of substrate coordination, ligand-to-ligand hydrogen transfer (LLHT), and C-C reductive elimination to produce the final product tricyclic imidazole. The LLHT step is calculated to be the rate-determining step. The oxidative addition of the benzimidazole C-H bond to the Ni center and the insertion of the alkene into the Ni-H bond occur concertedly in the LLHT step.     Abstract There are various problems in diagnosing and treating tumor diseases in significant hospitals. The content includes misjudgement and over-surgery issues. For example, the judgment of pulmonary nodules mainly relies on artificial experience, and most of the artificial experience is too radical. This paper is mainly based on the extensive medical data of significant hospitals, extracts the diagnosis and treatment data and digital images of similar cases from the extensive database, classifies them through the deep learning of the computer, and then proposes the control mechanism and the solution of the doctor’s misjudgement and excessive medical treatment. This method mainly relies on the CT and MRI digital images of various types of tumor diseases accumulated in the history of major hospitals. Based on the preliminary judgment of each diagnosis and treatment and the results of surgical and pathological examinations, the accumulation of various types of digital images from the history is used. The features are analysed and extracted, the model is built, and finally, a predictive analysis system for this type of tumor is obtained, which can predict the benign and malignant cases of currently occurring cases and avoid the limitations and instability of artificial experience greatest extent. It is proved by experiments and combined with Spearman to remove redundancy. The redundancy removal method SVM_RFE is used for dimensionality reduction. The method can timely correct the misjudgement of the doctor’s experience and effectively reduce the instability of the manual, which provides a solution for solving the contradiction between doctors and patients and improving the scientific of diagnosis and treatment.
