    Abstract In an unchanging environment, natural selection always selects species with high fitness. In this study, we build a co-evolutionary system to study the interaction between stochasticity in finite populations and environmental feedback. Positive feedback between species and environment is detrimental to the invasion success, whereas negative feedback is beneficial to invasion since feedback makes population size important enough to revise natural selection's preference. In competition scenario, positive and negative feedback will benefit the initially inferior species. When selection intensity is high, negative feedback may even cause natural selection to favor the initially inferior species. All of these effects are caused by feedback that allows the initially inferior species to have greater fitness than the initially dominant species. Our results emphasize that the effects of stochasticity in evolutionary path can be reinforced by feedback with environment and then reverse the preference of natural selection.

    Abstract Background: The learning of Occupational Health and Occupational Medicine in undergraduate college students in China has been hindered by various factors. This study aimed to explore the effects of the application of Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC) & Problem-based learning (PBL) in the learning of Occupational Health and Occupational Medicine in undergraduate college students in China.
    Methods: Students enrolled in 2017 and 2018 were categorized in the control group and study group, and received PBL learning and MOOC + PBL learning, respectively. The effects of learning were assessed by scores of final exam, satisfaction degree of students, and feedbacks.
    Results: The mean score of the final exam was not significantly different between the two groups. However, the further comparison by levels of scores showed that the percentages of good and excellent were both significantly higher in the study group than control group. The overall satisfaction degree was significantly higher in the study group than control group. In addition, the scores of the 3 dimensions of satisfaction degree, i.e. learning preparation, learning process, and learning effect, were all significantly higher in the study group than control group. The feedbacks of the students showed that they thought MOOC + PBL learning could better improve the learning efficacy, despite a substantial proportion of students reported that MOOC + PBL learning more time-consuming.
    Conclusions: The findings showed that the combination of MOOC and PBL in the learning of Occupational Health and Occupational Medicine is an effective method capable of improving the learning efficacy in college students of Prophylactic Medicine. Further efforts are needed to optimize the MOOC platform to provide a friendlier interface.

    Abstract In the past few decades, organic solvent nanofiltration (OSN) has attracted numerous researchers and broadly applied in various fields. Unlike conventional nanofiltration, OSN always faced a broad spectrum of solvents including polar solvents and non-polar solvents. Among those recently developed OSN membranes in lab-scale or widely used commercial membranes, researchers preferred to explore intrinsic materials or introduce nanomaterials into membranes to fabricate OSN membranes. However, the hydrophilicity of the membrane surface towards filtration performance was often ignored, which was the key factor in conventional aqueous nanofiltration. The influence of surface hydrophilicity on OSN performance was not studied systematically and thoroughly. Generally speaking, the hydrophilic OSN membranes performed well in the polar solvents while the hydrophobic OSN membranes work well in the non-polar solvent. Many review papers reviewed the basics, problems of the membranes, up-to-date studies, and applications at various levels. In this review, we have focused on the relationship between the surface hydrophilicity of OSN membranes and OSN performances. The history, theory, and mechanism of the OSN process were first recapped, followed by summarizing representative OSN research classified by surface hydrophilicity and types of membrane, which recent OSN research with its contact angles and filtration performance were listed. Finally, from the industrialization perspective, the application progress of hydrophilic and hydrophobic OSN membranes was introduced. We started with history and theory, presented many research and application cases of hydrophilic and hydrophobic OSN membranes, and discussed anticipated progress in the OSN field. Also, we pointed out some future research directions on the hydrophilicity of OSN membranes to deeply develop the effect made by membrane hydrophilicity on OSN performance for future considerations and stepping forward of the OSN industry.

    Abstract Introduction: Zoster-associated pain (ZAP) treatment and management is still inadequate. Repeated intervention protocol is often applied to manage ZAP. This study aimed to retrospectively investigate the effect of repeated applications of pulsed radiofrequency therapy on controlling acute/subacute ZAP.
    Methods: From March 2019 to December 2021, 150 patients with acute/subacute ZAP who underwent repeated application of pulsed radiofrequency treatment (R-PRF) and pulsed radiofrequency combined paravertebral block interventions (PRF + PVB) in the Pain Department of the affiliated Hospital of Jiaxing University were enrolled. Patients were grouped by intervention protocol and received at least 12 months of follow-up assessments using the Numerical Rating Scale score (NRSs), Pittsburg Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), Simple McGill Pain Questionnaire-2 score (SF-MPQ-2s), and follow-up interventions.
    Results: Both groups experienced a reduction in the incidence of clinically meaningful ZAP after the intervention therapy. In the R-PRF group, there were 36 cases of clinically meaningful ZAP within the first month post-treatment, while the PRF + PVB group had 38 cases. The incidence of clinically meaningful ZAP, as determined by multivariable generalized estimating equations, was 42.86% in the R-PRF group and 57.58% in the PRF + PVB group during the first month of follow-up. There was a significant difference in the incidence of clinically meaningful ZAP between the two groups after 1 month of treatment (adjusted odds ratio: 0.40; 95% confidence interval: 0.18-0.91; p = 0.03).
    Conclusions: Both R-PRF and PRF + PVB treatments effectively relieve pain in patients with acute/subacute ZAP. However, R-PRF may have superior efficacy compared to PRF + PVB in reducing the incidence of clinically meaningful ZAP 1 month after treatment.

    Abstract A more scientific, objective, and reasonable renewal orientation is gradually becoming a research hotspot in the field of industrial heritage conservation and renewal. This study selected five samples to carry out field investigation and face-to-face interviews. POI data were collected and analyzed, which revealed the relationship between environmental resources and the five samples based on the kernel density estimation method. Sequentially, we unprecedentedly created a complete BN-POI-AHP hybrid Bayesian network model that was used to implement simulation analysis of the industrial heritage of the Former Site Museum of Changchun Film Studio. A renewal orientation and a strategy for the community comprehensive sports ground were determined based on the results of the simulation data through the previous model. We eventually achieved a sustainable renewal strategy and innovative research method for industrial heritage, from objective data collection and simulation model creation to generation of a final reasonable plan.

    Abstract In this study, based on network pharmacology and molecular docking method, the mechanism of anti-hyperplasia of mammary glands of Xihuang Pills blood-entering components was explored, and the efficacy and key targets of Xihuang Pills blood-entering components were experimentally verified by MCF-10A proliferation model of human mammary epithelial cells. In order to clarify the material basis and mechanism of Xihuang Pills in realizing anti-hyperplasia of mammary glands, the blood-entering components of Xihuang Pills were qualitatively analyzed by UPLC-Q-TOF-MS, and 22 blood-entering components were identified. By taking the blood-entering components as the research object, the network pharmacology prediction and molecular docking verification were carried out, and finally, three key targets were screened out, namely JAK1, SRC, and CDK1. In vitro experiments show that Xihuang Pills can inhibit the proliferation of MCF-10A cells, promote the apoptosis of MCF-10A cells, and reduce the expression of JAK1, SRC, and CDK1 targets in cells. To sum up, Xihuang Pills can promote the apoptosis of mammary epithelial cells by regulating the expression of JAK1, SRC, and CDK1 and then play an anti-hyperplasia role, which provides an experimental basis for clarifying the material basis of Xihuang Pills for anti-hyperplasia effect.
