Abstract Through the “National Social Interest Macro Project for the Central-Western area in Colombia, San José Commune, Manizales”, since 2009 a deep intervention in that Commune has been taking place, conceived as urban renovation. The problems in the project planning have led to the relatively slow demolition of an important patrimony for the city in both, governmental buildings and remains of a city more important in industrial terms and of the collectively produced history in the neighborhoods during more than a century. So far, more than one thousand paved meters can be seen from the parkway called Avenida Colón and the beginnings of the first apartment block. It is through photography that we expose how social networks are affected necessarily because of the changes in the logics of the use of public space as well as the modification in daily life routines proper from popular urban neighborhoods in poor communes, who are untimely displaced and with the possibility to move to 45.15 square meters apartments. This is the affectation of quality of life of families and people in the Commune. However, this change is not seen the same way by the city political leaders. We tall part of the Commune history, finishing with its portrait in the image of Victorino, one of its most notable characters.

Abstract: ... alternatives for their execution in the influence environment of the José Mario Molina Pasquel Technological ...

Abstract Dual education is a model that consists in students having professional training time not only in the academy but also in the industry, under a regulated framework between the Academy and the Company, sometimes with government support. It is a German model that has been imported into Latin America and Mexico in recent decades. The Mexican National Technological Institute (Tecnológico Nacional de México) formalized its program in 2015 as a Dual Education Model (MEDTecNM®) and during 2019-2020 the first dual student generations will begin to graduate under this model. Given the number of Technological Institutes (254 throughout the country), their regional vocation that they contain and the business characteristics of their area of influence makes the Dual Education Model become very particular for each Technological Institute. From the characteristics of its area of influence; the type of companies and their location, as well as the willingness and scope of participation; the linking capacity of the Technological Institute itself and its teachers; the careers offered at the Technological Institute; the type of government participation (if any) and finally the context and disposition of students are identified as the main factors to consider in a Dual Education Program for each Technological Institute. The objective of this project is to determine the MEDTecNM® implementation elements, which are difficult to fulfill, the involved actors benefits and finally some viable alternatives for their execution in the influence environment of the José Mario Molina Pasquel Technological Institute and Henríquez Campus Arandas in the State of Jalisco, Mexico.

A brief account was made on the most important aspects of the fecund life and remarkable work of Dr Jose Lopez Sanchez (1911-2004) as physician, health manager, diplomat, revolutionary militant, professor, researcher and historian. The extensive scientific literature production that he was able to generate, making emphasis in his most important contributions to health sciences in general and to the public health in particular, was presented. Those works that covered more than six decades and were mainly disseminated as monographies, books, and articles in Cuban and foreign journals, in which he revealed unexplored or barely known issues for the national and international communities, were underlined. In the field of public health, he proved the conditions in which the scientific research paved its way in Cuba, the difficulties faced by the forerunners and the problems that their followers had to solve from the Spanish colonization times up to the present stage. This bibliographic legacy aimed at generating new pieces of knowledge or reliving the existing ones, is worthy of the consideration and respect of the present and future generations of public health professionals and of health professionals as well. This article intends to be a modest acknowledgement for this architect of the Cuban science and culture in the 20 th century to celebrate his 100 th anniversary.
