Abstract Hibiscus liliiflorus, endemic to the Indian Ocean island of Rodrigues, is one of the rarest plant species in the world; only 2 wild individuals remain. Previously, when 4 wild individuals remained, the Mauritian Wildlife Foundation (MWF) in Rodrigues propagated cuttings of them in their nursery, then planted seedlings produced in the nursery into 3 outplanted populations on the island. Our goals were to: 1) assess whether all 4 original wild genotypes are represented in the MWF nursery; 2) determine whether ex situ living collections at international botanical gardens maintain unique genotypes of H. liliiflorus; 3) assess whether nursery individuals have crossed or self-fertilized to produce seed and quantify their relative contributions to outplanted populations; and 4) provide recommendations for future conservation actions. We used a 2b-RADseq approach to produce 2,711 genome-wide single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) from 98 samples. Genotype identity analysis, principal component analysis, and model-based clustering in STRUCTURE found 4 genotypes extant in Rodrigues but no unique genotypes in ex situ botanic garden collections. Only 3 genotypes are represented in the MWF nursery; the one remaining genotype is represented by an extant wild individual. Parentage analysis showed that seeds produced in the MWF nursery resulted from both self-fertilization and crossing between genotypes, a result supported by internal relatedness and hybrid index calculations. Each outplanted population is dominated by a subset of parental genotypes, and we propose actions to balance the parental contributions to outplanted populations. Our study highlights how genetic assessments of ex situ conservation projects help conserve critically endangered species.

Abstract Introduction: high blood pressure in children and adolescents is an important health problem due to its increasing incidence and prevalence. Objective: to describe the useful theoretical elements on arterial hypertension in childhood and adolescence. Methods: at the ¨4 de Abril¨ Polyclinic in Guantánamo, between September and December 2021, a narrative review was carried out through searches in electronic databases (LILACS, PubMed, SciELO, Redalyc and Elsevier), of original articles and systematic reviews that include information related to arterial hypertension in childhood and adolescence. The Boolean operators AND, OR and NOT were used, as well as the advanced search strategy for the selection of articles. The analysis of the most relevant information was carried out and thus the final report was formed, through the use of 25 published articles. Results: aspects were described that support that arterial hypertension in childhood and adolescence is considered a chronic disease, where several risk factors interact, and in which a healthy lifestyle allows the control of the disease. It was reflected that the disease has primary or secondary causes, the different types of arterial hypertension, as well as the criteria of the American and European Guidelines. Conclusions: the useful theoretical aspects about arterial hypertension in childhood and adolescence are described.

Title translation Plastic surgery and fighting: Our experience during Nagorno-Karabakh war in 2020.
Abstract Introduction: This work relates the experience of three French surgical missions in the care of the war wounded during the armed conflict in Nagorno Karabakh which took place from September 27 to November 10, 2020.
Materials and methods: Three surgical missions were carried out in Armenia between October 2020 and January 2021. Surgeons intervened in different hospitals, at different times of the conflict and on various war wounds.
Results: The presence of a plastic surgeon proved to be essential in the care of war wounded, especially in delayed emergency and secondary care. The ortho-plastic treatment offered during these missions has proven to be effective in the reconstruction of limbs. These missions made it possible to introduce the induced membrane technique of Masquelet AC in Armenia. During our visit to the Yerevan burn center, we mentioned the very probable use of white phosphorus as an etiology in several of the cases analyzed.
Conclusion: We relate the particular experience of civilian surgeons in the context of a modern armed conflict. The presence of a plastic surgeon proved to be indispensable in the care of war wounded and especially in their secondary reconstructions.

Abstract The hypothetical moral dilemma known as the trolley problem has become a methodological cornerstone in the psychological study of moral reasoning and yet, there remains considerable debate as to the meaning of utilitarian responding in these scenarios. It is unclear whether utilitarian responding results primarily from increased deliberative reasoning capacity or from decreased aversion to harming others. In order to clarify this question, we conducted two field studies to examine the effects of alcohol intoxication on utilitarian responding. Alcohol holds promise in clarifying the above debate because it impairs both social cognition (i.e., empathy) and higher-order executive functioning. Hence, the direction of the association between alcohol and utilitarian vs. non-utilitarian responding should inform the relative importance of both deliberative and social processing systems in influencing utilitarian preference. In two field studies with a combined sample of 103 men and women recruited at two bars in Grenoble, France, participants were presented with a moral dilemma assessing their willingness to sacrifice one life to save five others. Participants' blood alcohol concentrations were found to positively correlate with utilitarian preferences (r=.31, p<.001) suggesting a stronger role for impaired social cognition than intact deliberative reasoning in predicting utilitarian responses in the trolley dilemma. Implications for Greene's dual-process model of moral reasoning are discussed.

Abstract Introduction: the family fulfills important functions in the biological, psychological and social development of the human being. Objective: to characterize the families of the Clinic #33, belonging to the Policlínico Universitario ¨4 de Abril¨ in Guantánamo city, in the period from October 2021 to January 2022. Method: a descriptive cross-sectional study was carried out. The population was constituted by the total of families attended (N=150). The sample was selected by simple random sampling, so that it represented 20% of the population (n=30). Methods of the theoretical, empirical and mathematical level were used. The variables studied were: classification of families according to ontogenesis, number of members and generations, stages of the life cycle, paranormative crisis and family functioning. Results: extended families (56.7%), medium (66.6%) and trigenerational (50%) predominated. Most of them went through the extension stage (50%), and 43.3% of them presented mixed crises. The economic function was the least fulfilled (36.6%) and in the dynamics of internal relations, 56.6% of the families were classified as dysfunctional. Conclusions: all the characterized families show family crises, and the economic function is the least fulfilled. They are mostly dysfunctional and the most affected categories in family functioning are role equity, communication, permeability and the inability to adjust to changes.

Abstract Structures and properties of nitrile imines were investigated computationally at B3LYP and CCSD(T) levels. Whereas NBO analysis at the B3LYP DFT level invariably predicts a propargylic electronic structure, CCSD(T) calculations permit a clear distinction between propargylic, allenic, and carbenic structures. Nitrile imines with strong IR absorptions above ca. 2150 cm(–1) have propargylic structures with a CN triple bond (RCNNSiMe3 and R2BCNNBR2), and those with IR absorptions below ca. 2150 cm(–1) are allenic (HCNNH, PhCNNH, and HCNNPh). Nitrile imines lacking significant cumulenic IR absorptions at 1900–2200 cm(–1) are carbenic (R–(C:)–N═N–R′). Electronegative but lone pair-donating groups NR2, OR, and F stabilize the carbenic form of nitrile imines in the same way they stabilize “normal” singlet carbenes, including N-heterocyclic carbenes. NBO analyses at the CCSD(T) level confirm the classification into propargylic, allenic, and carbenic reactivity types. Carbenic nitrile imines are predicted to form azoketenes 21 with CO, to form [2+2] and [2+4] cycloadducts and borane adducts, and to cyclize to 1H-diazirenes of the type 24 in mildly exothermic reactions with activation energies in the range 29–38 kcal/mol. Such reactions will be readily accessible photochemically and thermally, e.g., under the conditions of matrix photolysis and flash vacuum thermolysis.

Abstract The Hunga Tonga eruption on January 14 th and 15 th 2022 injected water, a variety of gases and aerosols into the Upper Troposphere and Lower Stratosphere up to altitude of ~50 km. Space-borne observations show that the eruption had the strongest impact on the stratospheric Aerosol Optical Depth since the Pinatubo eruption in 1991. We performed two measurement campaigns using weather balloons with the Light Optical Aerosol Counter (LOAC, version 1.5) within the fresh (~1 week post eruption, on Reunion island 21°S) and aged (~8 months post eruption, in South Africa 24°S) stratospheric Hunga Tonga plume. Within this talk, I will present aerosol size distribution and typology information based on LOAC in situ measurements, in the context of collocated ground-based aerosol lidar profiles recorded at OPAR (Observatoire de Physique de l'Atmosphère à La Réunion) and global space-borne observations. Plume peak altitudes have decreased by 2-3 km between the two in situ measurement campaigns. LOAC observations point to exclusively small aerosol particles (<1 µm in diameter) within the fresh stratospheric plume (22-23 km altitude) and a significant increase in particle size for the aged, descended plume (~20 km altitude). This points to freshly nucleated aerosol particles within the fresh plume and growing particles (e.g. coagulation processes) within the aged plume. While satellite observations only identify sulfate particles, LOAC typology information show indications of a small absorbing component for particles < 0.5 µm, which potentially points to small fractured sulfur coated ash particles.
