Abstract This study aims to analyze the international communication of Chinese music through the spatiotemporal context of the Old and New Silk Roads. This research builds on an empirical approach using questionnaires that contributed to determining the scope of applying the intercultural Chinese compositions. According to the results of the study, most (80%) Chinese songs written between 2010 and 2019 were written under the influence of Asian culture. The study involved a total number of 175 respondents. Accordingly, the survey revealed that most of the respondents use Chinese compositions written under the influence of other cultures at music competitions and concerts. Consequently, the present research presupposed elaborating the possibilities of exporting Chinese compositions. The survey shows that 79% of respondents consider foreign communication significant because it facilitates the promotion of Chinese music. The present findings can be used by culturologists as a framework for research on foreign musical communication.

Abstract Lung cancer is responsible for the highest number of cancer-related deaths, with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) being the most prevalent subtype. A critical aspect of managing lung cancer is reducing morbidity and mortality rates among NSCLC patients. Identifying high-risk factors for lung cancer and facilitating early diagnosis are invaluable in achieving this objective. Recent research has highlighted the association between insulin resistance and the development of NSCLC, further emphasizing its significance in the context of lung cancer. It has been discovered that improving insulin resistance can potentially inhibit the progression of lung cancer. Consequently, this paper aims to delve into the occurrence of insulin resistance, the mechanisms underlying its involvement in lung cancer development, as well as its potential value in predicting, assessing, and treating lung cancer.

Abstract Innovations in training programs impact the educational system and the level of students' professional abilities. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to investigate the use of innovative technologies in teaching music and aesthetics with the use of intelligent technology. Students from various music schools in Beijing participated in the study: elementary (112 respondents), middle (123 respondents), and high school (98 respondents) (areas: piano, violin, and percussion), a total of 343 participants. Assessment of the students' level of proficiency took place in several stages: comparing the students' level of proficiency with that they had before the experiment, for this purpose an average eight-point system was used. The next stage consisted of a comparison of grades for the final academic concert. The results showed that the greatest improvement was seen in the percussion class and the least in the violin class. Piano students showed an average result in the correlation comparison, but their level was the highest in the final academic concert, 48.55% of the students showed a level of skill above average. While 39.13% of the violin students scored "excellent" and "good". The same level among the students of "percussion instruments" was shown by 35.71% of the students. Thus, one can conclude that applying intelligent technologies positively impacts students' performance, but it is necessary to be careful in choosing applications and technologies for implementation in the educational process. Further research should be directed at the impact of other applications and programs on learning, as well as ways to improve other music education areas and how they can be changed by intelligent technology use.

Abstract Purpose: In chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (CTEPH), fibrosis of thrombi in the lumen of blood vessels and obstruction of blood vessels are important factors in the progression of the disease. Therefore, it is important to explore the key genes that lead to chronic thrombosis in order to understand the development of CTEPH, and at the same time, it is beneficial to provide new directions for early identification, disease prevention, clinical diagnosis and treatment, and development of novel therapeutic agents.
Methods: The GSE130391 dataset was downloaded from the Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) public database, which includes the full gene expression profiles of patients with CTEPH and Idiopathic Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (IPAH). Differentially Expressed Genes (DEGs) of CTEPH and IPAH were screened, and then Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) and Gene Ontology (GO) functional enrichment analyses were performed on the DEGs; Weighted Gene Co-Expression Network Analysis (WGCNA) to screen the key gene modules and take the intersection genes of DEGs and the key module genes in WGCNA; STRING database was used to construct the protein-protein interaction (PPI) network; and cytoHubba analysis was performed to identify the hub genes.
Results: A total of 924 DEGs were screened, and the MEturquoise module with the strongest correlation was selected to take the intersection with DEGs A total of 757 intersecting genes were screened. The top ten hub genes were analyzed by cytoHubba: IL-1B, CXCL8, CCL22, CCL5, CCL20, TNF, IL-12B, JUN, EP300, and CCL4.
Conclusion: IL-1B, CXCL8, CCL22, CCL5, CCL20, TNF, IL-12B, JUN, EP300, and CCL4 have diagnostic and therapeutic value in CTEPH disease, especially playing a role in chronic thrombosis. The discovery of NF-κB, AP-1 transcription factors, and TNF signaling pathway through pivotal genes may be involved in the disease progression process.

Abstract Blocking regional communication is the beginning of the deterioration and even destruction of civilization. Accessibility is the principal condition for the development of mountain areas and the first barrier to the breakthrough of tourism. In this context, the lack of unified transportation planning and analysis of tourists’ perceptions leads to poor accessibility and consequently the sustainable development of tourist destinations. This paper considers Yading Airport, the highest civil airport in the world, located in the mountainous area of southwest China, as an example. Based on the computed results of traffic accessibility, this research elucidates tourists’ perception with Nexus Thinking of sustainability. Furthermore, in light of deconstructing the connotation of accessibility by questionnaire, subdivision dimensions together with certain factors are paraphrased. The paper ultimately puts forward the following concepts: (1) The perception of accessibility represents invariant material form in the subjectivity space and attributes of the flow space; (2) Taking perception as the variable, evaluation of accessibility is considered affected by residents’ attitudes; (3) Tourism accessibility represents the duality between tourist flow and airport security management. These conclusions demonstrate that, in certain regions, tourism has an effect on integrating elements and constructing identity. Relevant suggestions are presented in this paper for sustainable development that relate to tourism in mountainous areas.

Abstract To understand the mechanisms of enhanced catalytic technologies under nonthermal plasma (NTP) conditions, complex surface processes must be assessed. However, the predictive capability of the Langmuir-Hinshelwood (L-H) and Eley-Rideal (E-R) processes is limited by various factors. The present study aimed to clarify the interaction mechanisms between NTP and catalysts in the enhancement process, explore the specific pathways of the enhancement process based on E-R and L-H model validations, and obtain data to support the rational design of NTP-enhanced catalytic processes. Abstract Objective: We report our experience with the use of hemilaminectomy approach for the removal of benign intraspinal tumors.
Method: A retrospective review of 1,067 patients who underwent hemilaminectomy in our hospital between 2013 and 2019 was analyzed. Baseline medical data were collected. One hundred sixteen patients were excluded due to degenerative diseases, spinal bone tumors, and malignant tumors. The remaining 901 patients (916 tumors) were enrolled. The Dennis Pain Scale (DPS) was used to assess improvement in pain before surgery and during long-term follow-up. Neurological status was assessed using the American Spinal Injury Association (ASIA) impairment scale.
Results: The age of the patients was 48.7 ± 15.3 years, the duration of symptoms was 16.5 ± 32.0 months, and the tumor size was 2.6 ± 1.4 cm. Three hundred two tumors were located in the cervical region, 42 in the cervicothoracic region, 234 in the thoracic region, 57 in the thoracolumbar region, and 281 in the lumbar and lumbosacral region. Twenty-three tumors were ventrally located, 677 were dorsal or dorsolateral, 63 were intramedullary, 87 were epidural, and the rest were dumbbell-shaped. The most common pathologies were schwannomas (601, 66.7%) and meningiomas (172, 19.1%). Total excision was achieved at 97.8%. The operative time was 94.3 ± 32.6 min and the blood loss during surgery was 96.9 ± 116.5 ml. The symptom of pain improved in 87.0% of patients during long-term follow-up, neurological function improved in 68.3% and remained unchanged at 30.5%.
Conclusion: The hemilaminectomy approach was a rapid and safe procedure to remove intradural and extradural tumors. This approach has offered several advantages. It could be used for the resection of most extradural or intradural extramedullary lesions, even some intramedullary tumors.

Abstract Economic inequality has been found to reduce individuals' generosity in western contexts. However, whether this effect is cross-culturally consistent and its internal mechanism remain unclear, as well as how to mitigate this impact. Hence, we explored whether and why economic inequality may erode generosity in a sample of Chinese adults from the social norm perspective and introduced the equal allocation norm to mitigate this effect. Four online studies were conducted: two were correlational (Study 1: n = 300; Study 2: n = 568) and two were experimental (Study 3: n = 289; Study 4: n = 500). Results showed that economic inequality predicted less generosity in the dictator game, and perceived unequal allocation norm accounted for this effect. Moreover, introducing the equal allocation norm could buffer this negative effect. Findings suggest economic inequality impairs generosity, and making the equal allocation norm more salient may guide people to act more generously.
