Abstract Workplace relational systems move the organizational processes therefore, the influence on employee work behavior is inevitable. Drawing on the relational systems and broaden & build theory, this study aimed to examine the impact of high-quality workplace relational systems and trait of mindfulness on employee work engagement. This study also posits that psychological capital mediates this relationship and negative affectivity plays a moderating role. Data was collected from 331 employees associated with the public and private sectors. PLS-SEM, Higher Component Modeling technique employed to analyze the data. Results showed a positive association between high-quality workplace relational systems and mindfulness with employee work engagement. Data also support the mediating role of psychological capital. This study contributes to understanding the internal mechanism of how workplace relational systems and mindfulness affect work engagement through mediating effect of psychological capital. The findings of this study showed that high-quality workplace relational systems and mindfulness are workplace factors that induce employees' work engagement. The present study advances the knowledge on the flourishment of the work environment. The findings of this study also contribute to further focusing research on the relational work environment in its response to employee behavioral dimension.

Abstract Lymphoplasmacytic lymphoma (LPL) is an uncommon condition, accounting for only 2% of all non-Hodgkin's lymphoma cases. Individuals with LPL face the risk of vascular blockage when associated with type I cryoglobulinemia, leading to related symptoms. Until now, no instances of LPL with dry gangrene have been documented. However, we present a rare case involving LPL accompanied by dry gangrene in both the right upper extremity (RUE) and left lower extremity (LLE). The patient was effectively managed using a combination of chemotherapy, steroids, plasmapheresis, and salvage surgery.

Abstract Over the past two decades, significant progress has been observed in the energy sector. Solar power systems have emerged as a popular choice for both individuals and companies. Despite the country’s energy crisis and reliance on fossil fuels, the adoption rate of solar power systems in Pakistan remains slow. This research aims to develop a cost-effective model that can help consumers in Pakistan adopt solar power systems. The unified theory of acceptance and use of technology 2 (UTAUT2) served as the foundation for this research, which is used to understand and predict individuals’ acceptance of new technology. This study included an internet-based survey conducted among 200 respondents in the southern region of Pakistan. Deductive reasoning was used to analyse the data, and the structural equation model was utilised through SmartPLS 3 software to test the research hypothesis. The survey results revealed that effort expectancy and performance expectancy were not significantly associated with attitude towards use. However, all other factors, such as environmental belief, social influence, hedonic motivation, price value, and facilitating conditions used in the model, have positive and significant influences on the use of solar technology. The findings of this project also enable government and private sector organisations to optimise their planning and resources to promote environment-friendly energy, and they should work on significant factors such as cost, which is one of the most dominant indicators that can attract consumers to shift towards alternate energy resources. This study presents the first attempt to model the intention and behaviour of Pakistani consumers towards using solar technology with the help of UTAUT2.

Abstract For the past few years, smartphone based human activity recognition (HAR) has gained much popularity due to its embedded sensors which have found various applications in healthcare, surveillance, human-device interaction, pattern recognition etc. In this paper, we propose a neural network model to classify human activities, which uses activity-driven hand-crafted features. First, the neighborhood component analysis derived feature selection is used to choose a subset of important features from the available time and frequency domain parameters. Next, a dense neural network consisting of four hidden layers is modeled to classify the input features into different categories. The model is evaluated on publicly available UCI HAR data set consisting of six daily activities; our approach achieved 95.79% classification accuracy. When compared with existing state-of-the-art methods, our proposed model outperformed most other methods while using fewer features, thus showing the importance of proper feature selection.

Abstract Latently infected cells harboring replication-competent proviruses represent a major barrier to HIV-1 cure. One major effort to purge these cells has focused on developing the "shock and kill" approach for forcing provirus reactivation to induce cell killing by viral cytopathic effects, host immune responses, or both. We conducted kinetic and mechanistic studies of HIV-1 protein expression, virion production, and cell-to-cell virus transmission during provirus reactivation. Provirus-activated ACH-2 cells stimulated with romidepsin (RMD) or PMA produced Nef early, and then Env and Gag in parallel with the appearance of virions. Env on the surface of provirus-activated cells and cellular F-actin were critical in the formation of virological synapses to mediate cell-to-cell transmission of HIV-1 from provirus-activated cells to uninfected cells. This HIV-1 cell-to-cell transmission was substantially more efficient than transmission seen via cell-free virus spread and required F-actin remodeling and CD4, but not chemokine receptors. Abstract In this study, we investigated the potential association between the burden of asymptomatic Blastocystis spp. (Blastocystis hominis) infection and nutritional status among children under 2 years of age using the data collected from 1,715 children from eight distinct geographic locations, including Bangladesh, Brazil, India, Peru, Tanzania, Pakistan, Nepal, and South Africa. Childhood stunting, wasting, and underweight were the outcome variables, and B. hominis infection was the exposure variable of this present study. The presence of B. hominis in nondiarrheal stools was evaluated by TaqMan Array Cards. Site-specific incidence rates were estimated using Poisson regression, and multiple generalized estimating equation was used to assess the association between the B. hominis infection and nutritional status. The site-specific incidence rates of asymptomatic B. hominis infections per 100 child-months were higher in Tanzania, Peru, and South Africa when compared with the other study sites. Moreover, in terms of site-specific association, childhood stunting was significantly associated with asymptomatic B. hominis infection in Bangladesh (odds ratio [OR]: 1.62; 95% CI: 1.26-2.08), India (OR: 1.78; 95% CI: 1.46-2.16), Nepal (OR: 2.26; 95% CI: 1.60-3.21), Peru (OR: 1.47; 95% CI: 1.26-1.71), South Africa (OR: 1.57; 95% CI: 1.35-1.83), and Tanzania (OR: 2.46; 95% CI: 2.18-2.79) sites. Wasting was associated with B. hominis in the Brazil site only (OR: 3.19; 95% CI: 1.31-7.77). On the other hand, underweight was associated in the Bangladesh (OR: 1.89; 95% CI: 1.48-2.42), Brazil (OR: 4.41; 95% CI: 1.57-12.4), Nepal (OR: 2.25; 95% CI: 1.52-3.35), and Tanzania (OR: 1.68; 95% CI: 1.42-1.99) sites. Our analysis further reveals that the presence of additional pathogens may play a pathogenic role in children who have B. hominis infection.
