Abstract This study aimed to investigate CCNB1, CENPF, and Neutrophils as diagnostic predictors of lung cancer and to explore their association with clinical prognosis. Clinical data were obtained for a total of 52 patients. In addition, we downloaded 555 lung cancer-related samples from the cancer genome atlas (TCGA) database. Differentially expressed genes were further screened. Immune cell infiltration and survival analysis were performed. Immunohistochemistry was used to confirm gene expression. Peripheral blood analysis showed that neutrophil percentages were significantly reduced in patients with lung cancer. The least absolute shrinkage and selection operator and multivariate regression analysis revealed that CCNB1 and CENPF were lung cancer risk factors. Both CCNB1 and CENPF are overexpressed in lung cancer. The clinical diagnostic model constructed using CCNB1, CENPF, and neutrophils had a C-index of 0.994. This model area under the curve (AUC) and internal validation C-index values were 0.994 and 0.993, respectively. The elevated expression of CCNB1 and CENPF showed that the survival rate of lung cancer patients was reduced. CCNB1 and CENPF expression was positively correlated with the clinical stage of lung cancer. Further studies confirmed that CCNB1 and CENPF are overexpressed in lung cancer tissues. The clinically constructed model with high accuracy based on CCNB1, CENPF, and neutrophils demonstrated that these are crucial indicators for lung cancer diagnosis. High expression of CCNB1 and CENPF indicates a poor prognosis in patients with lung cancer.

Abstract Cobalt-free (Co-free) and nickel-rich (Ni-rich) cathode materials have attracted significant attention and undergone extensive studies due to their affordability and superior energy density. However, the commercialization of these Co-free materials is hindered by challenges such as cation disorder, irreversible phase changes, and inadequate high-voltage performance. To overcome these challenges, a Co-free ternary cathode material of Mg/Al double-pillared LiNiO

Abstract Inorganic-organic hybrid materials are a kind of multiduty materials with high crystallinity and definite structures, built from functional inorganic and organic components with highly tunable photochemical properties. Perylenediimides (PDIs) are a kind of strong visible light-absorbing organic dyes with π-electron-deficient planes and photochemical properties depending on their micro-environment, which provides a platform for designing tunable and efficient hybrid photocatalytic materials. Herein, four radical-doped PDI-based crystalline hybrid materials, Cl

Abstract Background: The progress of genome-wide association studies (GWAS) in childhood obesity and its indicators is challenging and there are differences in genetic studies in children and adults.
Objective: To illustrate the history of the development of GWAS in childhood obesity and its indicators and summarize the GWAS loci.
Methods: PubMed, Web of Science, Embase and GWAS Catalog databases were systematically searched from 1 January 2005 to 19 October 2022 for literature related to GWAS of childhood BMI, body fatness and obesity. The nearest genes were used as positional genes to perform gene set analyses including the enrichment of pathways, tissues and diseases.
Results: Twenty articles published between 2007 and 2021 were included in this scoping review, which identified 116 SNPs reaching genome-wide significance with childhood BMI (n = 50), body fatness (n = 31) and obesity (n = 35). The study populations were European in 16 studies, non-European in three studies (1 East Asian; 1 American; 1 Mexican) and trans-ancestry in one study. Several enriched pathways, tissues and diseases were identified through enrichment analysis of genes associated with childhood obesity and its indicators.
Conclusions: The innovations in tools and methods enable GWAS to better explore the genetic characteristics of obesity in children and adolescents. However, the number of GWAS in American, Asian and African populations is limited compared to the European population.

Abstract Background and Objective. Effective segmentation of pulmonary nodules can effectively assist in the diagnosis of benign and malignant pulmonary nodules. We aim to explore the effectiveness of classification and segmentation algorithms in diagnosing benign and malignant pulmonary nodules under different CT reconstructions. Methods. The imaging data of 55 patients with chest CT plain scan in the Xuancheng People’s Hospital were collected retrospectively. The data of each patient included lung window reconstruction, mediastinum reconstruction, and bone window reconstruction. The depth neural network and 3D convolution neural network were used to construct the model and train the classification and segmentation algorithm. The pathological results were the gold standard for benign and malignant pulmonary nodules. The classification and segmentation algorithms under three CT reconstruction algorithms were compared and analyzed by analysis of variance. Results. Under the three CT reconstruction algorithms, the classification accuracy of pulmonary nodule density types was 98.2%, 96.4%, and 94.5%, respectively. The Dice coefficients of all nodule segmentation were 80.32%±5.91%, 79.83%±6.12%, and 80.17%±5.89%, respectively. The diagnostic accuracy between benign and malignant pulmonary nodules under different reconstruction algorithms was 98.2%, 96.4%, and 94.5%, respectively. There was no significant difference in the classification accuracy, Dice coefficients, and diagnostic accuracy of pulmonary nodules under three different reconstruction algorithms (all P>0.05). Conclusion. The depth neural network algorithm combined with 3D convolution neural network has a good efficiency in identifying benign and malignant pulmonary nodules under different CT reconstruction classification and segmentation algorithms.

Abstract To investigate the association between exposure to anesthesia during three periods of pregnancy, delivery, and childhood and autism spectrum disorder (ASD). PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, Embase, Google Scholar, PsycArticles, and PsycINFO were searched from the date of database inception to 1 December 2022. Studies reported the association between exposure to anesthesia during pregnancy, delivery, and childhood and ASD were included. Extracted variables included hazard ratio (HR), relative risk or odds ratio, standard error, and 95% confidence interval (CI). Effect estimates were pooled using random-effects meta-analysis. In total, 16 studies including 8,156,608 individuals were included in the meta-analysis. Labor epidural anesthesia during delivery was associated with ASD in the general population (adjusted HR = 1.16, 95% CI, 1.06-1.28) but not in the sibling population (adjusted HR = 1.06, 95% CI, 0.98-1.15). Other anesthesia during delivery was not associated with ASD (general population: adjusted HR = 1.08, 95% CI, 0.99-1.17; sibling population: adjusted HR = 1.20, 95% CI, 0.81-1.79). Three studies suggested that exposure to anesthesia during pregnancy was associated with ASD in offspring (adjusted HR = 2.15, 95% CI, 1.32-3.48). There was no significant association between exposure to general anesthesia during childhood and ASD (adjusted HR = 1.02, 95% CI, 0.60-1.72). This meta-analysis did not confirm the association between exposure to anesthesia during labour and ASD. Previous observational studies used the neurotoxicity of anesthesia to biologically explain significant associations, but in fact different controls for confounding factors led to differences in associations. The evidence for pregnancy and childhood was limited given the small number of studies in these periods.
