Abstract Today, nanoscrystals are researched and developed very quickly because of their advantages in many areas of life. One of the potential applications is quantum dot-sensitized solar cells. This is a green, clean, environmentally friendly cell, and has been studied by scientists since 2000. In this study, we fabricated photoanodes with Cu

Abstract Background: In recent years, there has been a significant focus on the development of artificial intelligence (AI) applications in healthcare. However, current scientific evidence is still not convincing enough for the general public and the medical community to widely adopt AI in clinical practice.
Objective: We conducted this study to investigate the correlation between left ventricular function indices assessed by AI and those evaluated by physicians.
Methods: This cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted on 136 patients who attended and received treatment at Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital from April 2022 to June 2023. Using QLAB version 15, Philips Healthcare.
Results: The AI software accurately identified 98.5% of the echocardiographic cine-loops. However, there were about 1.5% of cine-loops that the software failed to recognize. The sensitivity of Ejection Fraction (EF) calculated by AI was 73.3%, specificity was 81.3%, and accuracy stood at 78.6%. A strong positive correlation was observed between EF measured by AI and that assessed by physicians, r = 0.701, p < 0.01. The sensitivity of Global Longitudinal Strain (GLS) calculated by AI was 42.1%, specificity was 84.8%, and accuracy was 67.6%. A moderate positive correlation was found between GLS measured by AI and physician's assessment, r = 0.460, p < 0.01.
Conclusion: The use of AI software for evaluating left ventricular function through ejection fraction and global longitudinal strain is rapid and yields results comparable to cardiologists' echocardiographic assessments. The AI-powered software holds a promising and feasible future in clinical practice.

Abstract Perforation of the gastrointestinal tract by ingested foreign body is an uncommon surgical emergency, most typically associated with the consumption of fish and chicken bones. We present an unusual case of a gentleman presenting emergently with an acute abdomen following ingestion of a meal containing frog meat. Emergent computed tomography (CT) revealed findings suggestive of jejunal perforation due to a foreign body. At laparotomy, a mid-jejunal site of perforation was noted due to a protruding piece of fractured frog bone. Washout and primary repair of the small bowel enterotomy were performed, and the patient made an excellent post-operative recovery.

Abstract Gallbladder volvulus (GV) is a medical emergency and a rare cause of acute abdominal pain among the pediatric population. GV is more prominent usually in boys in pediatric patients. If it is not diagnosed and surgically intervened promptly, GV will become a life-threating condition. Fortunately, a safe and effective laparoscopic cholecystectomy is now widely indicated. A 5 years old female patient with abdominal pain and heavy much vomiting was referred to the emergency room in our hospital. She was suspiciously diagnosed with acute inflammation of the gallbladder according to the results of abdominal ultrasound and computerized tomography (CT) scan already performed on admission. One day after the hospitalization, abdominal ultrasound, and CT scan were performed again because of intensification of her abdominal pain and revealed the clinical portrait of GV such as a "floating gallbladder" sign, an echogenic cone structure, an elongated axis displaced horizontally instead of vertically and a lack of intramural blood flow. The acute GV diagnosis was made and the patient was operated, using the laparoscopic cholecystectomy on time, the gallbladder was tightly twisted clockwise at approximately 720°. The operation and postoperative treatment went quite well and the patient was discharged from the hospital on postoperative Day 7. GV is very rare in children, easily omitted or misdiagnosed with cholecystitis. Imaging diagnosis such as ultrasound, CT with contrast helps make diagnosis promptly that avoids severe complications such as gallbladder perforation, necrosis, and biliary peritonitis.

Abstract Metanephric adenoma presents as a rare benign tumor in children with differentiated diagnoses: Wilms tumor or renal cell carcinoma. When confronted with small renal tumors, whether they fall into one of these three diagnostic categories, tumor resection surgery with laparoscopic partial nephrectomy is considered a viable and effective operative approach. Herein, we report the case of an 11-year-old female patient initially diagnosed with stage T1a renal cell carcinoma with postoperative pathology results confirming metanephric adenoma. Successfully treated with laparoscopic partial nephrectomy, the patient showed no signs of recurrence or metastasis during follow-up.

Abstract Background: Cover crops and mulching can ameliorate soil porosity and nutrient availability, but their effects on the physical characteristics and nutrients in the raised bed soils are unclear.
Methods: The field experiment was conducted in a pomelo orchard from 2019 to 2021, with an area of 1,500 m
Results: The results revealed that soil bulk density at two depths, 0-10 and 10-20 cm, was reduced by 0.07 and 0.08 g cm
Conclusions: Legume cover crops and straw mulch enhanced soil porosity and plant nutrient availability (Ca, K, Fe, and Zn). These conservation practices best benefit fruit orchards cultivated in the raised bed soils.

Abstract Nowadays, together with the economic development, public health activities have gained substantial attention with increasing number of hospitals during the past decades. A multi-method approach involving site visits, questionnaires, and interviews, in combination with secondary data revealed that the healthcare waste (HCW) generation, varied with different specialties (general or pediatric/obstetric hospitals) and different level of hospitals (central, provincial, district levels). The HCW generation from different kinds of surveyed hospitals varied from 0.8 to 1.0 kg/bed/day for domestic waste, 0.15 to 0.25 kg/bed/day for infectious and hazardous waste, and less than 0.1 kg/bed/day for recycled waste. Only 94.3% of central hospitals, 92% of provincial hospitals, and 82% of district hospitals complied with national regulation in hazardous medical waste treatment. For healthcare wastewater treatment, the actual operating rates were 91%, 73%, and 50% for central, provincial, and district hospitals, respectively. The cost for HCW management accounted for only 10-15% of the total budget allocated for the medical facilities. Most of the provincial hospitals spent about $0.2-$0.4/bed/year for HCW management. This is the root cause of ineffective HCW management.

Abstract Introduction: Mesenchymal chondrosarcoma (MC) is a rapidly progressive sarcoma that predominantly impacts the bones. Making up only 3% of chondrosarcomas, about one-third of these tumours develop in extra-skeletal sites.
Case presentation: The authors present a clinical case of a 42-year-old patient who was diagnosed with MC 8 years ago, now admitted to the hospital with a palpable epigastric mass. Clinical and laboratory examinations showed consistent results for MC tumours, with metastasis to the body and tail of the pancreas and invasion of the splenic vein. Surgical resection and systemic screening were performed to ensure that there were no lesions elsewhere. Regular follow-up has found no localized lesions or complications after 15 months.
Clinical discussion: Metastatic extra-skeletal mesenchymal chondrosarcoma of the pancreas is exceptionally rare. To our current understanding, only 14 such cases have been documented in medical literature. The symptoms of pancreatic metastasis are diverse and the radiographic features of metastatic mesenchymal chondrosarcoma are not typically distinct.
Conclusions: Although MC tumours do not frequently occur in sites other than the axial system, a tumour presenting later in a patient with a history of MC should be reviewed to confirm the diagnosis of metastatic MC. Treatment can vary between surgery, radiation therapy and systemic therapy.
