Abstract Introduction: With the increasing accessibility of smartphones, their use has been considered in healthcare services. Mobile applications have played a pivotal role in providing health services during COVID-19. This study is aimed at identifying the features, advantages, and disadvantages of health management mobile applications during COVID-19.
Methods: This systematic review was conducted in PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science using the related keywords up to November 2021. The original articles in English about the health management mobile applications in COVID-19 were selected. The study selection was done by two researchers independently according to inclusion and exclusion criteria. Data extraction was done using a data extraction form, and the results were summarized and reported in related tables and figures.
Results: Finally, 12 articles were included based on the criteria. The benefits of mobile health applications for health management during COVID-19 were in four themes and 19 subthemes, and the most advantages of the application were in disease management and the possibility of recording information by users, digital tracking of calls, and data confidentiality. Furthermore, the disadvantages of them have been presented in two themes and 14 subthemes. The most common disadvantages are reduced adherence to daily symptom reports, personal interpretation of questions, and result bias.
Conclusion: The study results showed that mobile applications have been effective in controlling the prevalence of COVID-19 by identifying virus-infested environments, identifying and monitoring infected people, controlling social distancing, and maintaining quarantine. It is suggested that usability, ethical and security considerations, protection of personal information, and privacy of users be considered in application design and development.

Abstract Type 2 diabetes, as one of the most common chronic diseases, requires ongoing management and support from the patient; therefore, patient participation and self-management play a pivotal role in controlling and preventing this disease. The increasing use of smartphones has provided a good opportunity for controlling and managing patients with type 2 diabetes. This study aimed to investigate the effect of mobile health on the self-management of patients with type 2 diabetes in Iran. A systematic review study was conducted from 2010 to 2021. Searches in Persian and English scientific databases, IranDoc, MagIran, SID Web of science, and PubMed, were performed using keywords such as diabetes and mobile health. The process of reviewing and selecting articles based on inclusion and exclusion criteria was performed by two researchers independently. The study evaluation was performed by using a standard tool. After selecting articles, data extraction was performed using a data extraction form. Data analysis was performed with a content analysis approach. Finally, 23 articles were included from the 7767 articles found in the initial search stage, which examined patients' self-care in 11 areas using mobile health. Fourteen studies (61%) considered mobile health to be effective in increasing hemoglobin control. Other studies also found the use of mobile health in increasing adherence to exercise (n = 10), increasing adherence to medication (n = 9), increasing adherence to diet (n = 11), increasing care for diabetic foot ulcers (n = 8), increasing self-efficacy and empowerment (n = 5), increasing cholesterol control (n = 4), increasing awareness and attitude (n = 4), increasing control of insulin dose (n = 2), increasing adherence to education (n = 1), and increasing control of blood urea (n = 1), which were considered effective. The use of m-health effectively controls the disease and promotes self-management in type 2 diabetic patients. Considering the high cost of diabetes treatment, policymakers should implement appropriate interventions and strategies in the field of using mobile health to improve adherence to self-management of the disease.

Abstract Aims: Firstly, Cinnamomum zeylani essential oil (CZEO) was isolated and characterized. Secondly, CZEO was used in Malva sylvestris mucilage (MSM) coating and its antioxidant and antimicrobial effects on lamb meat slices were evaluated in 10 days at 4°C.
Methods and results: The main chemical compounds and functional groups of the CZEO were identified and quantified by a gas chromatograph coupled to a mass spectrometer and by an Fourier transform infrared spectrometer respectively. The total phenol and flavonoid contents of CZEO were determined by the Folin-Ciocalteu reagent-based and aluminium chloride methods respectively. Various microbiological, physicochemical analyses and sensory evaluations were also utilized regarding the coated lamb meat slices. CZEO contains benzyl benzoate (40.93%), caryophyllene oxide (26.07%) and (E)-cinnamaldehyde (13.01%), with strong radical scavenging activity and antibacterial effect against investigated pathogenic microorganisms. The CZEO-loaded MSM edible coating greatly postponed the growth of microorganisms and extended the product life (>10 days). The pH value, moisture content and hardness of the samples were also preserved more efficiently when high concentrations of the essential oil were incorporated into the edible coating (p < 0.05). The CZEO-rich MSM coating was also able to possess considerable activity against lipid oxidation in lamb meat samples, and significantly decreased the production of primary and secondary oxidation products (p < 0.05). Moreover, sensory parameters of the samples were preserved more efficiently during cold storage when the CZEO-enriched edible coating, particularly MSM + 2% CZEO was used.
Conclusions: The use of edible coating based on MSM and CZEO is therefore effective in reducing microbial growth and chemical reactions in lamb meat during the storage period.
Significance and impact of the study: The importance of the results of this study is in order to increase the use of natural preservatives, maintain food safety and of course the health of the people in the community.

Abstract Background: One of the most important functions of the admission unit is the speed of staff in receiving the information correctly and recording them on the computer, and providing suitable conditions for continuing the patient's treatment. The occurrence of errors in data recording affects the quality of care and may have unfavorable consequences. The application of data validation techniques can help users to record information correctly. Objectives: Hence, the present study aims to identify the techniques and determine the level of compliance with them, their necessity in Admission Discharge Transfer (ADT) systems, and their effect on data quality. Methods: This observational study investigating data quality in the ADT systems was carried out in two stages. In the first stage, a checklist of data control techniques was developed by reviewing the literature. The admission unit of hospital information systems in different units of the teaching hospitals of Kerman (in terms of application of data validation techniques) was evaluated. In the next stage, a researcher-made questionnaire was designed, and users' views on the necessity of using these techniques in HIS and their effect on data quality were evaluated. Data analysis was done using frequency, standard deviation, and mean and Friedman ranking test. Results: In this study, six data techniques were investigated in the studied systems. Users gave the highest mean for the necessity of applying data control techniques for the first name, surname, and national code data items and the lowest mean for the data items related to vital signs. In the ranking of data validation techniques in terms of the importance of their application, the highest rank was obtained in the components of pattern control (17.29), and the lowest rank was obtained in delta control (2.91). In the general ranking of the effect of techniques on data quality, pattern control (5.95) and interval control (4.95), respectively, obtained the highest mean (out of 6). Abstract Describing a neural activity map based on observed responses in emergency situations, especially during driving, is a challenging issue that would help design driver-assistant devices and a better understanding of the brain. This study aimed to investigate which regions were involved during emergency braking, measuring the interactions and strength of the connections and describing coupling among these brain regions by dynamic causal modeling (DCM) parameters that we extracted from event-related potential signals, which were then estimated based on emergency braking data with visual stimulation. The data were reanalyzed from a simulator study, which was designed to create emergency situations for participants during a simple driving task. The experimental protocol includes driving a virtual reality car, and the subjects were exposed to emergency situations in a simulator system, while electroencephalogram, electro-oculogram, and electromyogram signals were recorded. In this research, locations of active brain regions in montreal neurological institute coordinates from event-related responses were identified using multiple sparse priors method, in which sensor space was allocated to resource space. Source localization results revealed nine active regions. After applying DCM on data, a proposed model during emergency braking for all people was obtained. The braking response time was defined based on the first noticeable (above noise-level) braking pedal deflection after an induced braking maneuver. The result revealed a significant difference in response time between subjects who have the lateral connection between visual cortex, visual processing, and detecting objects areas have shorter response time (
