    Abstract Deontology is the set of duties and obligations in which the correct act is specified in the exercise of a profession. The Deontological Codes (CD), in addition to respecting the legal framework in which they are inserted, must go beyond the laws insofar as they are a reflection of the ethical commitment of each profession; commitment to deontological principles, which also helps to shape your identity. The aim of this project is to provide, based on the bibliography and current legal and deontological regulations, a proposal to serve as a guide for the accomplishment of Ethic Codes for Biologists (CDB), which currently does not exist in Spain, taking as a basis the revision of the ethics codes of other professions related to Biology. Under this purpose, a systematic and comparative review has been carried out of other health professions ethics codes, of the ethical guidelines emanating from scientific societies (above all, from the Anglo-Saxon area) and of the regulations applicable to those professions. The result is the proposal of the most important sections that we believe this Code should contain.

    Abstract In the article it is analysed the configuration and expansion of global production chains, as well as their current slowdown, based on a long term and systemic perspective. Specifically, it is studied these processes in the phase of the decline of the North American systemic cycle of accumulation and the emergence of a new dynamic centre of accumulation and potential hegemonic replacement: East Asia, led by China. In this disputed scenario, the work explores the possibilities and limitations that the engagement to global production chains represent for Latin America’s development. It is recognized that, so far, the insertion to the globalized production has not benefited the development of the countries of the region. However, it is identified the opportunity to modify this situation by the configuration of regional production networks, which will allow a more qualified insertion to global production chains.

    Abstract One of the hallmarks of Vox, a far-right political party associated with both the Latin American new right and the European radical right, is its anti-feminist discourse. Despite the media prominence of the “anti-gender” stance taken by the elites of this party —in other words, of its opposition to gender justice and sexual diversity—, we know little about how this frame resonates among the broader right-wing electorate, where Vox gains support. To address this gap, we conducted three focus groups with voters from Vox and Partido Popular, the main right-wing parties in Spain. We analyzed how the anti-gender interpretation of reality is expressed in four discursive fractions: (1) androcentric liberalism; (2) patriarchal conservatism; (3) misogynist reactionaryism; and (4) feminist-nationalist radicalism. Despite significant differences between these discursive fractions, there was a transversal resonance of the anti-gender frame that mobilized right-wing voters against gender equality and feminism. Patriarchal conservatism was the only discursive fraction that showed ambivalence, dissociating itself from the anti-gender frame at some points. Conversely, the androcentric liberal faction was consistent in its opposition to gender justice, aligning with misogynist reactionaryism and feminist-nationalist radicalism. It is important to note that androcentric liberalism poses a threat to feminist politics as it denies the inequality between men and women through legal arguments that are legitimized within democratic discourse.

    Abstract El periodismo científico comparte hoy su función con otros emisores de mensajes. Se suma que es una opción profesional minoritaria. Para averiguar el origen de esta situación partimos de que las universidades españolas forman en una estructura académica dicotómica ciencias/letras, en la que los estudiantes de una rama de conocimiento reciben escasa formación sobre los conocimientos de las otras. Analizamos si esta organización académica influye en la percepción que los estudiantes de Comunicación Social tienen de las ciencias experimentales, de la naturaleza, de la salud, de las humanidades y sociales. Para ello encuestamos a estudiantes de Periodismo y de Comunicación Audiovisual utilizando un cuestionario impreso estructurado en preguntas abiertas, dicotómicas y en escala. Luego aplicamos estadística descriptiva a los datos obtenidos, lo que permitió comprobar que los futuros periodistas no solo ingresan en la carrera considerándose de letras, sino que avanzan en ella sin modificar esa autopercepción. Una conclusión es que urge replantear la formación imperante para abrirla a una concepción pedagógica inter y transdisciplinar integradora que mejore la presencia de las ciencias en la agenda informativa.

    Abstract El cumplimiento del Objetivo de Desarrollo Sostenible, ODS, No 6 “Agua Limpia y Saneamiento”, promulgado en 2015 por la ONU, requiere de nuevos enfoques y marcos conceptuales, que articulen e integren, de manera práctica, las intervenciones en el sector de Agua Potable, Saneamiento e Higiene (APSH), con la Gestión Integrada de Recursos Hídricos (GIRH), según los contextos específicos de cada región. En este sentido, la gobernanza del agua proporciona un marco conceptual, que permite analizar y potenciar la integración entre los sectores de APSH con la GIRH, en el marco del cumplimiento de los ODS. Para ello, se documentaron varios casos de estudio en Latinoamérica, donde se observó la integración sectorial, a partir del modelo de funciones de Gobernanza del Agua, desarrollado por Water Governance Facility - WGF. Si bien cada uno de los casos de estudio se enmarcan en alguna función específica de la gobernanza del agua, todos requieren, al menos, de otra función, para poder lograr su finalidad, siendo la “Coordinación”, la más relevante, observada para el logro de los resultados obtenidos.

    Abstract La población mundial se encuentra en un proceso de envejecimiento sin precedente en épocas anteriores. Este envejecimiento está propiciado por mejores hábitos de salud y los avances en la medicina y la farmacología, entre otros factores. Ante ello, los organismos nacionales e internacionales se hacen eco con programas adecuados, para que esta etapa de la vida sea vivida en las mejores condiciones, fomentando con ello el denominado envejecimiento activo. Poner esto de relieve es el objetivo de este trabajo y dentro de ese marco destacamos dos ejes: la contribución de los mayores a la sociedad desde el voluntariado, y la formación permanente como un reto a conseguir, tras años de dedicación a la actividad profesional y a la crianza y educación de los hijos.

    Abstract We present the transcription of some documents about the frontier of Mendoza that correspond to the period between December of 1791 and March of 1792. The file includes official communications and official communications copies, just as the respective replies. We can identify certain polyphonies in the communication between different subjects acting at the frontier of Mendoza. These sources revolve around the confrontation between Pehuenches and Huilliches-Ranqueles, as well as Mendoza’s aid to the first ones. We consider that they have ethnographic and historical value since they allow us to contribute to problems raised by other investigators such as the alliance between Hispanic-creoles and Pehuenches pointing out the services and compensations of each covenant group. Also, the issue of the changeable ethnic identities and the harnessing of the localization of certain tolderías of allied indigenous groups —“indios amigos”— as strips that protected the defensive and productive establishments of the Hispanic-creole. On the other hand, as a cross-cutting theme in the official communications, is the Hispanic-creole´s concern about how that conflict may affect them directly or indirectly, increasing their expenses and forcing them to reconsider their border policy, that enabled us to state the difficult financial situation of the colonial administration of Mendoza, which encourages us to continue enquiring about that matter in future investigations, in order to shed more light on the decisions concerning border policy.
