    Abstract Introduction: The contradiction among population, economy and urbanization has gradually intensified, and the Mountain Excavation and City Construction (MECC) project is one of the special solutions. Nevertheless, there are few comparative studies on the project index studies and effect of MECC projects on residential satisfaction. To remedy this deficiency, this study base on the Yan'an new district (YND) reconstruction project, attempting to analyze the specific influencing factors prerelocation and post-relocation from the perspective of residential satisfaction.
    Methods: After conducting reliability and validity analysis on each dimension, multiple linear regression and paired t-test were used to analyze and compare the questionnaire data.
    Results: The results show that the residential satisfaction index of the YND is indeed higher than that of the Yan'an old district (YOD). Concurrently, the decisive factors of residential satisfaction are also different. Specifically, the interpersonal communication, supporting facilities, community environment and economic income are significant in the YOD, but only the aspect of supporting facilities is negative significant. The supporting facilities, community environment, economic income and urban development are all positive significant in the YND. The satisfaction factors of middle-aged people in YOD and YND have the most significant differences, and the significance of each dimension is different.
    Discussion: The research results of this study provide a comparative perspective at the micro-level for evaluating China's urban construction, and it supplies specific directions for future urban development and the improvement of old cities through the new residential satisfaction index.

    Abstract Erythema tuberculum is a common disease in dermatology and difficult to treat. Chang an cheng's skin under the successive generations of the successor, unique, unique experience. Yan xiaoning summarized the etiology and pathogenesis of nodular erythema as heat and humidity toxicity, and divided the syndrome differentiation into two syndromes: wind and heat toxicity containing moisture and heat.     Abstract Aldehyde dehydrogenase 1A1 (ALDH1A1) is a cytosolic enzyme that mainly catalyzes the oxidation of acetaldehyde into acetic acid and participates in the regulation of differentiation and gene expression in fat cell growth and development. However, the physiological role of ALDH1A1 in the formation of fat cell precursors in the Yan Yellow Cattle is still not clear. Herein, we investigated the specific regulation of the gene encoding for ALDH1A1 during the differentiation process of the adipocyte cells of the Yan Yellow Cattle by interfering or overexpressing the ALDH1A1 gene. As a result, we found that the mRNA expression levels of ALDH1A1 were significantly increased during the formation of progenitor cells. In addition, the expression levels of the Lipoprotein lipase (LPL) and transcription factors (PPARγ, C/EBPα) were also significantly increased. ALDH1A1 gene overexpression and RNA interfering promoted and inhibited respectively the lipid accumulation and triglyceride production in mature adipocytes, and the expression of the LPL and transcription factors (PPARγ, C/EBPα). The changes in the protein expression levels of ALDH1A1 and adipogenic factors were in accord with the changes observed in the mRNA levels. In conclusion, our results indicate that ALDH1A1 plays an important regulatory role in the differentiation of preadipocyte cells.

    Abstract Ethnopharmacological relevance: Fei-Yan-Qing-Hua decoction (FYQHD), derived from the renowned formula Ma Xing Shi Gan tang documented in Zhang Zhong Jing's "Treatise on Exogenous Febrile Disease" during the Han Dynasty, has demonstrated notable efficacy in the clinical treatment of pneumonia resulting from bacterial infection. However, its molecular mechanisms underlying the therapeutic effects remains elusive.
    Aim of the study: This study aimed to investigate the protective effects of FYQHD against lipopolysaccharide (LPS) and carbapenem-resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae (CRKP)-induced sepsis in mice and to elucidate its specific mechanism of action.
    Materials and methods: Sepsis models were established in mice through intraperitoneal injection of LPS or CRKP. FYQHD was administered via gavage at low and high doses. Serum cytokines, bacterial load, and pathological damage were assessed using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC) detection, and hematoxylin and eosin staining (H&E), respectively. In vitro, the immunoregulatory effects of FYQHD on macrophages were investigated through ELISA, MIC, quantitative real-time PCR (Q-PCR), immunofluorescence, Western blot, and a network pharmacological approach.
    Results: The application of FYQHD in the treatment of LPS or CRKP-induced septic mouse models revealed significant outcomes. FYQHD increased the survival rate of mice exposed to a lethal dose of LPS to 33.3%, prevented hypothermia (with a rise of 3.58 °C), reduced pro-inflammatory variables (including TNF-α, IL-6, and MCP-1), and mitigated tissue damage in LPS or CRKP-induced septic mice. Additionally, FYQHD decreased bacterial load in CRKP-infected mice. In vitro, FYQHD suppressed the expression of inflammatory cytokines in macrophages activated by LPS or HK-CRKP. Mechanistically, FYQHD inhibited the PI3K/AKT/mTOR/4E-BP1 signaling pathway, thereby suppressing the translational level of inflammatory cytokines. Furthermore, it reduced the expression of HMGB1/RAGE, a positive feedback loop in the inflammatory response. Moreover, FYQHD was found to enhance the phagocytic activity of macrophages by upregulating the expression of phagocytic receptors such as CD169 and SR-A1.
    Conclusion: FYQHD provides protection against bacterial sepsis by concurrently inhibiting the inflammatory response and augmenting the phagocytic ability of immune cells.

    Abstract Context: Qi-Wei-Xiao-Yan-Tang (XYT), composed of Radix et Rhizoma Rhei, Radix Astragali, Radix Wikstroemiae Indicae, Fructus Ligustri Lucidi, Poria and Radix Glycyrrhizae, has been widely used as an anti-inflammatory drug.
    Objective: The present study investigated the anti-inflammatory, antibacterial effects and serum pharmacochemistry of XYT.
    Methods: The dimethylbenzene-induced inflammation test, the acetic acid-induced vascular permeability test and the carrageenan-induced paw edema test were used to evaluate the anti-inflammatory activity of XYT (200, 100 and 50 mg/kg); minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC). Minimal bactericidal concentration (MBC) tests were used to evaluate the antibacterial activity of XYT. Additionally, serum pharmacochemistry was performed to study the biologically active substances.
    Results: All the tests for anti-inflammatory effects were shown active with these test systems; the anti-inflammatory effects at doses of 100 and 200 mg/kg were significant (p < 0.05); MIC and MBC tests indicated that XYT showed a broader antimicrobial spectrum and stronger toxicity to the tested microbes. Additionally, calycosin-7-glucoside, sennoside A, aloeemodin and rhein were detected as the predominant components in rat serum which may play the key role in the anti-inflammatory activities of XYT.
    Conclusions: This is the first report of the pharmacological activities and serum pharmacochemistry of XYT, and the first evidence of anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties of the extracts of XYT. The results of our work demonstrated that XYT has significant anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties, and calycosin-7-glucoside, sennoside A aloeemodin and rhein may be the biologically active substances of XYT. XYT can be utilized as an effective and safe disease preventive or therapeutic agent.
