Abstract Youxian sheldrake is excellent native breeds in Hunan province in China. The complete mitochondrial (mt) genome sequence plays an important role in the accurate determination of phylogenetic relationships among metazoans. This is the first study to determine the complete mitochondrial genome sequence of Youxian sheldrake using PCR-based amplification and Sanger sequencing. The characteristic of the entire mitochondrial genome was analyzed in detail, the total length of the mitogenome is 16,605 bp, with the base composition of 29.21% A, 22.18% T, 32.84% C, 15.77% G in the Youxian sheldrake. It contained 2 ribosomal RNA genes, 13 protein-coding genes, 22 transfer RNA genes and a major non-coding control region (D-loop region). The complete mitochondrial genome sequence of Youxian sheldrake provided an important data for further study of the phylogenetics of poultry, and available data for the genetics and breeding.

Abstract Surveillance analysis of cases with diarrhea in children aged under five years, who visited and were treated at village clinics in rural areas of Youxian County during June 1992 to May 1993, was conducted. Children aged below five under surveillance averaged 1 346, and 223 cases of diarrhea were reported, with a reported incidence of 0.17 per person-year. Incidence was higher in 6-month and one-year groups with a peak during May to August. But no sex difference of diarrhea incidence existed. Use of oral rehydration solution (ORS) accounted for 87.89% of the cases, with an average of 1.56 packages (each package containing 500 ml) per case, and 95.52% of dehydrated cases used ORS, with average of 2.02 packages per case. Use of intravenous rehydration account for 1.79% of the cases, 58.74% of them used antibiotics and 16.03% of them used more than two kinds of antibiotics, and 47.98% of the cases used both ORS and antibiotics. Occurrence of blood, mucus and pus in stool accounted for 12.64% of the total cases. All indices of surveillance in 1993 improved, compared with those in September 1991.

Abstract Energy storage systems (ESSs)-based demand response (DR) is an appealing way to save electricity bills for consumers under demand charge and time-of-use (TOU) price. In order to counteract the high investment cost of ESS, a novel operator-enabled ESS sharing scheme, namely, the "operator-as-a-consumer (OaaC)," is proposed and investigated in this article. In this scheme, the users and the operator form a Stackelberg game. The users send ESS orders to the operator and apply their own ESS dispatching strategies for their own purposes. Meanwhile, the operator maximizes its profit through optimal ESS sizing and scheduling, as well as pricing for the users' ESS orders. The feasibility and economic performance of OaaC are further analyzed by solving a bilevel joint optimization problem of ESS pricing, sizing, and scheduling. To make the analysis tractable, the bilevel model is first transformed into its single-level mathematical program with equilibrium constraints (MPEC) formulation and is then linearized into a mixed-integer linear programming (MILP) problem using multiple linearization methods. Case studies with actual data are utilized to demonstrate the profitability for the operator and simultaneously the ability of bill saving for the users under the proposed OaaC scheme.

Abstract The collection of micro-organisms living in the mammalian gastrointestinal tract, termed the gut microbiota, has been shown to have profound impacts on host health and increasingly is regarded as a viable therapeutic target. Clinical studies of fecal microbiota transplantation have demonstrated potential efficacy of microbiota-based therapies for diseases including Clostridioides difficile infections, inflammatory bowel disease, graft-versus-host disease and cancer. However, the lack of understanding of the active ingredients and potential risks of such therapies pose challenges for clinical application. Meanwhile, efforts are being made to identify effector microbes directly associated with a given phenotype, to establish causality and to devise well-characterized microbial therapeutics for clinical use. Strategies based on defined microbial components will likely enhance the potential of microbiota-targeted therapies.

Abstract With the development of safety science, the concept of safety capacity (SC) has been proposed. SC has been applied in many fields. Concurrently, there has been an active and robust development of research pertaining to it. However, SC research mainly focuses on practical engineering problems, and SC research is only regarded as the establishment of a quantitative model for system safety. Hence, the theoretical study of SC is ignored. Indeed, the integrated theoretical system and connotation of SC are lacking. In this study, an attempt is made to enrich the theoretical connotation of SC. The following aspects of theoretical exploration are included: (a) The theoretical connotation of SC is redefined so that the lack of theory with respect to SC can be made up. Moreover, research directions of SC are indicated as dimension mining (DM) and dimensionality reduction (DR). (b) The application value of safety similarity theory in the DM of SC is expounded according to the principle of analogism. Core principles of DM are proposed and explained. (c) Common methods of DR are summarized, and the one-sided cognition of DR for the current SC research is corrected. A case study of an explosion accident caused by a boiler water shortage is employed for further discussion. For the investigation of the explosion accident using fault tree analysis (FTA), DR of SC is utilized to provide a more comprehensive explanation. Therefore, the proposed SC is proven to be practical for the analysis of system safety. The results obtained from this study have important implications for research and practice of SC.

Abstract In the sintering process, it is difficult to obtain the key quality variables in real time, so there is lack of real-time information to guide the production process. Furthermore, these labeled data are too few, resulting in poor performance of conventional soft sensor models. Therefore, a novel semi-supervised dynamic feature extraction framework (SS-DTFEE) based on sequence pre-training and fine-tuning is proposed in this paper. Firstly, based on the DTFEE model, the time features of the sequences are extended and extracted. Secondly, a novel weighted bidirectional LSTM unit (BiLSTM) is designed to extract the latent variables of original sequence data. Based on improved BiLSTM, an encoder-decoder model is designed as a pre-training model with unsupervised learning to obtain the hidden information in the process. Next, through model migration and fine-tuning strategy, the prediction performance of labeled datasets is improved. The proposed method is applied in the actual sintering process to estimate the FeO content, which shows a significant improvement of the prediction accuracy, compared to traditional methods.

Abstract Background: Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a chronic, multisystem autoimmune disorder. When SLE occurs in individuals under the age of 18, it is referred to as childhood-onset SLE (cSLE). Currently, there is a dearth of bibliometric research pertaining to cSLE.
Method: Relevant studies in the field of cSLE from 2000 to 2022 were screened from the Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC). CiteSpace and VOSviewer software were used to visualize the annual publications, countries, institutions, authors, journals, keywords, and references, after which the authors conducted the scientific analysis.
Results: A total of 2857 articles were included in this study, and the number of articles published in the past 20 years showed an overall upwards trend. The most prolific countries are the United States, China, and Brazil; however, the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom are clearly superior in terms of literary influence, and there is more cooperation between them and their institutions. Conclusion: This study examined the research status of cSLE patients, discussed and analysed the research hotspots and trends in this field, and provided a reference for further research in this field to promote the development of cSLE research.
