Abstract Introduction: Self-citation is a debate in citation analysis and evaluating research performance.
Aim: This study aimed to investigate the self-citation rate of Iranian scholars in comparison with scholars of other countries in the World.
Methods: The scientific output of 238 countries in the time span of 1996-2017(two recent decades) was studied from perspective of some bibliometric indicators, using "country ranking" section in SJR database for data collection.
Results: Regarding self-citation rate, Iran ranked third in the world, second in Asia and first in the Middle East. However, Iran ranked 22
Conclusion: It is needed that Iranian researchers consider their research quality as well as making the appropriate context for more visibility of their works by receiving more citations from other researchers and taking other scientific visibility modes into account. Science policy-makers in Iran should consider some approaches to decreasing the self-citation rate in Iranian publications.

Abstract Background: Considering the importance of internal medicine and the lack of sufficient scientometric data on the research status of the field in Iran, the study aimed at investigating the state of scientific output in the country compared to the countries in the world.
Methods: This applied research used a scientometric approach. The related
Results: Out of all 4,972,258 papers published by 230 countries worldwide in the field, about 60% belonged to the USA and Western European countries. These countries were at top of citation and self-citation counts as well as the h-index indicator. The citations per paper indicator were 27.1 and about 25.1% of total citations were self-citations. A significant positive correlation was found between the number of papers, citation count, and self-citation rate, and h-index in the field (p<0.001).
Conclusion: The research status of internal medicine in developed regions and countries was quantitatively and qualitatively better than that of developing countries, including Iran.

Abstract Introduction: Nowadays, publishing highly-cited papers is important for researchers and editors. In this evidence-based study, the factors influencing the citability of published papers in the field of medicine have been identified.
Material and methods: 200 papers indexed in Scopus (in two groups: highly-cited and lowly-cited) with 100 papers in each were studied. Needed data were manually collected with a researcher-made checklist. Data analysis was done in SPSS using descriptive and inferential statistics.
Results: Variables such as journal IF, journal rank, journal subject quartile, the first/corresponding author's h-index, the number of documents produced by the first/corresponding author, SJR and SNIP had significantly positive correlation with paper citability (p< .05). Other variables, including among others, paper age, paper type, the number of references, the number of authors, indexing institute and journal kind had not any relationship with paper citability (p> .05).
Conclusion: the factors affecting the citability are among indicators relating to authors, publishing journals and published papers. Determining the extent to which these factors influence the citability of a paper needs further large-scaled research. Authors and editors searching for high-citedness should consider these factors when authoring and publishing papers.

Abstract Aim: This study investigated the impact of spiritual intelligence and demographic factors in the prediction of occupational stress, quality of life and coronavirus anxiety among nurses.
Design: A cross-sectional study was planned.
Methods: The study was conducted among full-time nurses who were employed in two teaching hospitals of Babol city which were referral centres for caring patients infected with COVID-19 from February-May 2021. One hundred and twenty-nine nurses completed five questionnaires including the demographic questions, Quality of life (WHOQOL-BRIF), Occupational Role Questionnaire (ORQ), Spiritual Intelligence and Coronavirus Anxiety Scale.
Results: The findings revealed that 69% of the nurses experienced moderate occupational stress, moderate quality of life and low coronavirus anxiety. Spiritual intelligence was the only significant negative predictor of occupational stress (β = -0.517, p = <0.001). The only positive predictor of quality of life was perceived income adequacy. Predicting factors of coronavirus anxiety were the perceived income adequacy as protective (β = -0.221, p = 0.022) and the number of children as predisposing (β = 0.401, p = 0.004) factors. These findings should be considered when planning nursing interventions for improvement of occupational stress, quality of life and anxiety especially during crises like the COVID-19 pandemic.

Abstract Introduction: The status and role of each country in scientific outputs in specific fields may indicate the potential and its performance in promoting and improving that particular issue. This study aimed to investigate Iranian scientific production in the field of Occupational and Professional Health and determine its level in Region and the World. Methods: This is Survey-Descriptive study with Scientometrics approach. Population study includes 1787 scientific articles and papers in the field of Occupational and Professional health which published and indexed in Scopus database during 2000-2016. We use SPSS, NodeXL and VOSviewer to analysis data and design graphs. Findings: Finding shows that Iranian scientific outputs in the field of Occupational and Professional Health increase from 3 in 2000 to 266 in 2016 and have 34% growth every year. Also we fended that Tehran University of Medical Science and United States as the most important center and co-worker in publishing scientific production. Conclusion Although Iranian scientific production in the recent years have an acceptable increasing, but totally Iranian place of scientific production in the field of Occupational and Professional Health were not suitable in the world. Also the quality of published articles was in medium level. Making policy and Tacking good decision related to growth of quality and quantity of scientific papers by increasing level of scientific collaboration and use all internal potential seems necessary.

Abstract The advancement of human knowledge in the field of medical science has brought activists to the field with new ethical issues. addressing medical ethical issues is one of the essential requirements in the health system. at present, the evaluation of science production can provide a clear picture of the growth, progress and important issues of a scientific field. in this study, we aimed to identify important areas of research in the field of medical ethics through a scientometric study. This is a scientometrics research using one of the most important techniques of this method, namely, the drawing of science. the statistical population of the study consisted of 3333 scientific papers indexed in the WOS database by the end of 2019. a researcher-made checklist was used for data collection and Ravar-matrix and ucinet6 software were used for data analysis. The results showed that the amount of scientific output in the field of medical ethics is 3333, starting with 1946 with two documents and reaching 2019 with 104 documents. the average annual growth rate is 21.03%. the world of medical ethics consists of 9 clusters worldwide and the concepts of bioethics, ethical counseling, education, medical education and autonomy have been the most commonly used keywords in medical ethics research, respectively. Iranian products in this field also consist of 6 clusters which are the key concepts in medical ethics, bioethics, ethics committee, strategic planning and medical education.

Abstract Background: Self-citation is one of the main challenges in the evaluation of researchers' scientific output. This study aimed at comparing the institutional self-citation among the universities located in Northern Iran.
Methods: This study was conducted as a scientometric study. Research population included all scientific productions of 16 Northern Iran Universities with at least 100 indexed documents indexed in the Web of Science (WoS) by 2 June 2015. The citation analysis section of WoS was used for data collection. SPSS was applied for data analysis. Study hypotheses were tested with two independent sample t-test and paired sample t-test.
Results: Producing 16,399 papers, northern Iran universities had 5.33% of contribution in Iran's scientific production. They received 84,058 citations with 17% and 12% of self-citations belonged to the non-medical and medical universities, respectively. Testing hypotheses revealed that increase in received citations significantly increases the rate of self-citation and increase in scientific production does not necessarily increase the rate of self-citation.
Conclusion: The rate of self-citation in the studied universities was not relatively high. However, investigating into the factors affecting the rate of and motives for self-citation needs further research.
