    Abstract Exploring the path of energy structure optimization to reduce carbon emissions and achieve a carbon peak has important policy implications for achieving the “Dual Carbon” target. To this end, this paper explores the optimal path for China to achieve the “dual carbon” target from the perspective of energy structure optimization in three steps: (1) we forecast China’s carbon emissions and carbon intensity during 2024–2035 based on a combined forecasting model; (2) we simulate the development of energy consumption and carbon emissions under the “economic development scenario-energy structure scenario” with the help of Markov chain forecasting model; (3) we construct a multi-attribute decision model to account for the above elements as variables to calculate a composite index to analyze the optimal path for China to achieve “Dual Carbon” target under different decision preferences. It is found that (1) potential negative effects caused by COVID-19 are not as serious as reported; (2) only the scenario with low-speed economic growth and effective policies guiding, which doesn’t follow laws of social development, can contribute to reaching carbon peaking by 2030 while maintaining a high-quality carbon intensity; (3) the optimal path that scenario with middle-speed economic growth and strict cost control is a sub-optimal choice subject to realities; (4) technologies innovations in green or low-carbon fields are needed to accelerate energy consumption structure optimization.

    Abstract Currently, most Graph Structure Learning (GSL) methods, as a means of learning graph structure, improve the robustness of GNN merely from a local view by considering the local information related to each edge and indiscriminately applying the mechanism across edges, which may suffer from the local structure heterogeneity of the graph (i.e., the uneven distribution of inter-class connections over nodes). To overcome the drawbacks, we extract the graph structure as a learnable parameter and jointly learn the structure and common parameters of GNN from the global view. Excitingly, the common parameters contain the global information for nodes features mapping, which is also crucial for structure optimization (i.e., optimizing the structure relies on global mapping information). Mathematically, we apply a generic structure extractor to abstract the graph structure and transform GNNs in the form of learning structure and common parameters. Then, we model the learning process as a novel bi-level optimization, i.e.,

    Abstract Human Cytomegalovirus Capsid Assembly Protein Precursor (pAP, UL80.5) plays a key role in capsid assembly by forming an internal protein scaffold with Major Capsid Protein (MCP, UL86) and other capsid subunits. In this study, we revealed UL80.5 as a novel SUMOylated viral protein. We confirmed that UL80.5 interacted with the SUMO E2 ligase UBC9 (58-93aa) and could be covalently modified by SUMO1/SUMO2/SUMO3 proteins.

    Abstract Head and neck mucosal melanoma is one of the most common types of melanoma in China, but the prognosis is worse than other types, and there is no effective treatment plan to improve patient survival. This study analyzes the efficacy of hypofractionation radiotherapy combined with PD-1 inhibitor in the treatment of head and neck mucosal melanoma, as well as its impact on the tumor immune microenvironment. NPSG mice were used to construct a humanized bilateral lesion tumor model of the humanized immune system. The models were divided into an RT (8 Gy)+anti PD-1 group, an RT (2 GyX4)+anti PD-1 group, an Anti PD-1 group, an RT (8 Gy) group, and a blank group. Differences in efficacy and immune cells in blood, lymph nodes, and tumor tissues were compared between different treatment groups. The treatment effect of RT (8 Gy)+anti PD-1 was better than the other groups with a tumor growth inhibition value (TGI) over 60%. Significant recruitment and activation of CD8+T cells were found in the blood, lymph nodes, and tumor tissues and significantly inhibited the level of PD-1+CD8+T cells in the group of RT (8 Gy)+anti PD-1. This study confirmed the efficacy of hypofractionation radiotherapy combined with PD-1 inhibitors, which can inhibit tumor growth and produce distant effects. The appearance of a distant effect is related to the enhancement in the number and activity of CD8+T cells in the local tumor and peripheral blood and lymph nodes. This study confirms the therapeutic and immune regulatory effect of hypofractionation radiotherapy combined with PD-1 inhibitors.

    Abstract Hydatidosis/cystic echinococcosis (CE) caused by Echinococcus granulosus is a parasitic zoonotic disease worldwide, threatening animal health and production and public health safety. However, it is still unclear that whether E. granulosus infection can result in the alteration of gut microbiota in Tibetan sheep. Therefore, a study was designed to investigate the influences of E. granulosus infection on gut microbiota of Tibetan sheep. A total of 10 ovine small intestinal contents (five from healthy and five from infected) were obtained and subjected to high-throughput sequencing by MiSeq platform. A total of 2,395,641 sequences and 585 operational taxonomic units (OTUs) were identified. Firmicutes and Proteobacteria were the most dominant phyla in all samples. Moreover, the proportions of Armatimonadetes and Firmicutes in the infected Tibetan sheep were significantly decreased, whereas Actinobacteria, Chloroflexi, and Acidobacteria had significantly increased. At the genus level, the Christensenellaceae_R-7_group and Ruminococcaceae_NK4A214_group were the predominant bacterial genera in all the samples. Furthermore, the healthy Tibetan sheep exhibited higher abundances of Intestinimonas, Butyrivibrio, Pseudobutyrivibrio, Ruminococcaceae, Eubacterium_coprostanoligenes_group, Oxobacter, Prevotella_1, Ruminiclostridium_6, Coprococcus_1, Ruminococcus, Lachnospiraceae_UCG-002, Olsenella, and Acetitomaculum, whereas Kocuria, Clostridium_sensu_stricto_1, Slackia, Achromobacter, and Stenotrophomonas levels were lower. In conclusion, our results conveyed an information that E. granulosus infection may cause an increase in pathogenic bacteria and a decrease in beneficial bacteria. Additionally, a significant dynamical change in gut microbiota could be associated with E. granulosus infection.

    Abstract An intermodal-nonlinearity-induced time-frequency evolution model of high-power near-single-mode continuous-wave fiber lasers (NSM-CWHPFLs) was proposed to simulate the evolution of spectral characteristics and beam quality under the combined action of intermodal and intramodal nonlinear effects. The influence of fiber laser parameters on intermodal nonlinearities was analyzed, and a suppression method involving fiber coiling and seed mode characteristic optimization was proposed. Verification experiments were conducted with 20/400, 25/400, and 30/600 fiber-based NSM-CWHPFLs. The results demonstrate the accuracy of the theoretical model, clarify the physical mechanisms of nonlinear spectral sidebands, and demonstrate the comprehensive optimization of intermodal-nonlinearity-induced spectral distortion and mode degradation.
