Abstract A problem of upgrading to the Next Generation Wireless Network (NGWN) is backward compatibility with pre-existing networks. In this paper, we propose new Genetic Algorithm and Ant Colony Optimization Algorithm to optimal of upgrading infrastructure in NGWN. The NGWN topology has two levels in which mobile users are sources and both base stations and base station controllers are concentrators. My objective function is multi-object based on the sources to concentrators connectivity cost as well as the cost of the installation, connection, replacement, and capacity upgrade of infrastructure equipment. I evaluate the performance of my algorithms with data randomly generated. Numerical experiment results show that my algorithms is the best approach to solve this problem.

Abstract The wireless access networks design problem is formulated as a constrained optimization problem, where the goal is to find a network topology such that an objective function is optimized, subject to a set of constraints. The objective function may be the total cost, or some performance measure like utilization, call blocking or throughput. The constraints may be bounds on link capacities, cost elements, or some network performance measure. However, the optimization problem is too complex. In this paper, we propose a novel Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) algorithm to finding the total cost of connecting the BSs to the MSCs, and connecting the MSCs to the LE called by the optimal centralized wireless access network. Numerical results show that performance of our proposed algorithm is much better than previous studies.

Abstract The Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks have not been around with any significance for very long over the history of ICT. However, this problem is evolving quickly, and it is becoming increasingly hard to grasp a global view of the problem. Particularly for Next Generation Network (NGN), that will provide advanced services, such as Quality of Service (QoS) guarantees to users and their applications. In this paper, we focus to analysis challenges DDoS prevention in NGN and propose a defense method using private security policy. The efficiency of our proposed method was also proved in the experiment with NS2. DDoS attack is controlled effectively by the private security policy the bandwidth of the regular traffic would be maintained

Abstract The presented study suggests a new nature–inspired metaheuristic optimization algorithm referred to as Red Colobuses Monkey (RCM) that can be used for optimization problems; this algorithm mimics the behavior related to red monkeys in nature. In preparation for proving the suggested algorithm's advantages, a set of standard unconstrained and constrained test functions is employed, sixty–four of identified test functions utilized in optimization were applied as benchmarks for checking the RCM performance. The solutions have also been upgrading their positions based on the optimal solution, which was reached thus far. Also, RCM can replace the worst red monkey by the best child found so far to give an extra enhancement to the solutions. Also, comparative performance checks with Biogeography–Based Optimizer (BBO), Artificial–Bee–Colony (ABC), Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO), and Gravitational Search Algorithm (GSA) were done. The acquired results showed that RCM is competitive in comparison to the chosen metaheuristic algorithms.

Abstract In this paper, we focus on the network topological design for providing Quality of Service (QoS) in Next Generation Network (NGN) and propose an effective Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) algorithm to solve the capacitated minimum spanning tree (cMTS) problem in dynamic environment. To improve QoS of communication network with considering the network provisioning capability and dynamic environment, we formulate this problem with minimizing the communication cost (as a kind of performance measures for network’s QoS). Our objective functions are determined by pheromone matrix of ants satisfies capacity constraints to find good approximate solutions of cMST problems. Numerical experiments show that our algorithm have achieved much better than recent researches.

Abstract In this paper, I study the challenging problem of optimizing gateway placement for throughput in Wireless Mesh Networks. I compare my study ofGenetic Algorithm (GA), Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) and Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) to solve the optimal gateway placement in Wireless Mesh Networks problem. I generate the locations of gateway randomly and independently and choose the router with the highest weight as potential location for gateway placement use multi-traffic-flow weight. In the my algorithms based on GA and PSO, I calculate the fitness value of each scheme and update them step by step with the best method to quickly find the optimal. With ACO algorithm, I calculate the probability and pheromone values of ants will choose to go from current gateway i to next client j. After each iteration, the pheromone values are updated by all the number of ants that have reached to the destination successfully and found the optimal solution.Numerical results show that the proposed algorithm has achieved much better than previous studies.

Abstract Next Generation Network (NGN) is the backbone of the overall network architecture based on IP network, supporting different access network technologies. This integrated wireless system will have to handle diverse types of traffics, such as data, voice, and multimedia, etc. NGN will provide advanced services, such as Quality of Service (QoS) guarantees, to users and their applications. In this paper, I have studied a pricing scheme for next generation multiservice networks and formulated the optimal resource allocation in a network/service node, given the QoS requirements of each service class that the network element serves. The non-linear pricing model responds well to changes of the characteristics in the input traffic, pricing parameters and QoS requirements. Furthermore, I proposed two new Particle Swarm Optimization and Ant Colony Optimization algorithms to solve it. Numerical results show that my proposed algorithms are easy and efficient to any number of service classes.

Abstract A problem of upgrading to the Next Generation Wireless Network (NGWN) is backward compatibility with pre-existing networks, the cost and operational benefit of gradually enhancing networks, by replacing, upgrading and installing new wireless network infrastructure elements that can accommodate both voice and data demand. In this paper, I propose a new genetic algorithm based on a combination of two populations to solve multi-objective optimization infrastructure upgrade problem in NGWN. Network topology model has two levels in which mobile users are sources and both base stations and base station controllers are concentrators. My objective function is the costs of connection from sources to concentrators such as the cost of the installation, connection, replacement, and capacity upgrade of infrastructure equipment. I generate two populations satisfies constraints and combine its to build solutions and evaluate the performance of my algorithm with data randomly generated. The experimental results show that this approach is appropriate and effective Finally, I have applied this algorithm to planning of upgrade infrastructure in telecommunication networks in Haiphong city.

Abstract In Next Generation Network (NGN), the backbone of the overall network architecture will be IP network, supporting different access network technologies and types of traffics. NGN will provide advanced services, such as Quality of Service (QoS) guarantees, to users and their applications. Factors affecting the QoS in NGN are speech encoders, delay, jitter, packet loss and echo. The negotiation and dynamic adaptation of QoS is currently considered to be one of the key features of the NGN concept. In this paper, I propose a novel Ant Colony Optimization algorithm to solve model of the optimal QoS for multimedia services in the NGN. Simulation results show that my new approach has achieved near optimal solutions. Comparison of experimental results with a recently researches shows that the proposed algorithm is better performance and it can meets the demand of the optimal QoS for multimedia services in NGN.
