Abstract This study aimed to investigate the chemical constituents of supercritical extract from Qi-nan Aquilariae Lignum Resinatum by silica gel column chromatography, thin-layer chromatography, and semi-preparative high-performance liquid chromatography. One new elemane-type and one new eudesmane-type sesquiterpene compounds were isolated from the extract, and their structures were identified by MS, UV, IR, NMR, and ECD spectroscopic techniques, and named aquqinanol C(1) and aquqinanol D(2). Both compounds are novel compounds. The neuroprotective effect of the compounds on CORT-induced PC12 cell damage was determined in vitro. The results showed that compounds 1 and 2 exhibited a certain protective effect against CORT-induced damage in PC12 cells.

Abstract To prevent the gas over limit in the upper corner of the 215101 working face of the Yue Nan coal mine, a numerical simulation method was used to analyze the gas concentration in the upper corner of the working face at different air intake volumes and mining velocities. The research results show that the gas concentration in the upper corner is 0.78, 0.52, 0.39, and 0.32% when the wind speed of the intake airflow roadway is 1, 1.5, 2, and 2.5 m/s, respectively, and an optimal wind speed of the intake airflow roadway is selected as 2 m/s. When the wind speed of the intake airflow roadway is 2 m/s, the working face mining velocity is 1, 2, 3, and 4 m/d, and the gas concentration in the upper corner is 0.27, 0.39, 0.58, and 0.83%, respectively, and an optimal working face mining velocity of 3 m/d is selected. Under the optimal mining conditions, the working face wind leakage area is divided, with 0∼30 m of the working face as the main leakage area and 150-180 m as the wind flow compensation area. According to the wind speed in the gob, the wind flow disturbance area is divided, the gob 0-50 m is the wind flow intense disturbance area, which is the main area of the upper corner gas source; the gob 50-62 m is the wind flow medium disturbance area, which is the secondary area of the upper corner gas source; the gob 62-75 m is the slight disturbance area, which has less influence on the upper corner gas concentration; the gob after 75 m is the wind flow undisturbed area, and the upper corner gas concentration is almost unaffected by it.

Abstract Testis is the primary organ of the male reproductive tract in mammals that plays a substantial role in spermatogenesis. Improvement of our knowledge regarding the molecular mechanisms in testicular development and spermatogenesis will be reflected in producing spermatozoa of superior fertility. Evidence showed that N6-Methyladenosine (m6A) plays a dynamic role in post-transcription gene expression regulation and is strongly associated with production traits. However, the role of m6A in bovine testis has not been investigated yet. In this study, we conducted MeRIP-Seq analysis to explore the expression profiles of the m6A and its potential mechanism underlying spermatogenesis in nine bovine testes at three developmental stages (prepuberty, puberty and postpuberty). The experimental animals with triplicate in each stage were chosen based on their semen volume and sperm motility except for the prepuberty bulls and used for testes collection. By applying MeRIP-Seq analysis, a total of 8,774 m6A peaks and 6,206 m6A genes among the studied groups were identified. All the detected peaks were found to be mainly enriched in the coding region and 3'- untranslated regions. The cross-analysis of m6A and mRNA expression exhibited 502 genes with concomitant changes in the mRNA expression and m6A modification. Notably, 30 candidate genes were located in the largest network of protein-protein interactions. Interestingly, four key node genes (

Abstract: ... reduced (lull) and restricted around the Changle‐Nan'ao Belt (CNB) while the magmatism was highly active ...

Abstract The cause of magmatic tempo in an active plate margin remains controversial, partly due to lack of structural analysis. During 130–105 Ma, the magmatism in the South China Block (SCB) was significantly reduced (lull) and restricted around the Changle‐Nan'ao Belt (CNB) while the magmatism was highly active (flare‐up) in North China. For unveiling the tectonic role on magmatism, a multidisciplinary study including field and microscopic structural observations, magnetic fabric measurement (AMS), and zircon/monazite dating was conducted on the plutons with oriented minerals in the CNB. Structural analysis and AMS results show a highly clustered NE‐striking vertical foliation developed during the emplacement indicating a syn‐emplacement NW‐SE shortening regime. The geochronology results confirm that the emplacement occurred during 130–105 Ma. Regional geologic correlation indicates that the collision between the Dangerous Grounds‐West Philippines Block and SCB was responsible for this shortening regime. The collected depleted zircon εHf(t) data suggest that a possible collision‐triggered slab break‐off caused the syn‐collisional magmatic activity around the CNB. This study shows that the magmatic lull in the SCB was coeval with a crustal shortening regime due to the arrival of a microcontinent carried by the subduction slab, while the magmatic flare‐up was coeval with an extensional regime due to the subduction roll‐back and retreat as evidenced by the Cretaceous evolution of the SCB before and after the collision and that of North China which is unaffected by the collision. The cause of magmatic tempo in the continental margin is largely due to the tectonic evolution of underlain subduction slabs.

Abstract Wind corridor blueprints are an essential reference for climate planning that takes into account zones of fresh cold air, air channels as well as heat island alleviation zones. This article addresses the matter of how to plan urban wind corridors more efficiently by proposing a “ventilation potential coefficient” (VPC) as well as providing an index for natural cold sources. The study additionally proposes a surface urban heat island (SUHI) index as a means of evaluating the severity of the heat island effect. Based on these three indexes, a new method of categorizing urban climatic zones, called “Climatopes”, is developed. Using the above methods, data from 2016 meteorological observation stations and Landsat8 satellites, as well as urban planning materials and basic geographical information on a scale of 1:2000 are used to create an Urban Climate Analysis Map (UCAnMap) and formulate a plan for the construction of wind corridors in the urban centre of Ji’nan. The results reveal that the intensity of urban heat islands in Ji’nan is closely related to a lack of natural cold sources, the specific layout of different types of land use as well as poor planning of urban “function zones”. Moreover, there is a significant correlation between the VPC and other factors such as surface roughness length, building height, the density of building frontal area and floor area ratios. The potential wind corridors could also be determined based on the VPC. Based on an UCAnMap composed of 11 Climatopes and background wind environments, this article ascertains that it would be possible to construct a network of 3 Level One corridors (each over 500 m wide) and 11 Level Two corridors (each over 80-m wide). Additionally, regulatory measures and protective legislation are proposed for the corridors, as well as for the city’s overall development.

This study is the first to present a map of RNA m6A modification in bovine testes at distinct ages, and provides new insights into m6A topology and related molecular mechanisms underlying bovine spermatogenesis, and establishes a basis for further studies on spermatogenesis in mammals.

Abstract A novel pyrone derivative (1) bearing two fused five-member rings, together with two new naphthalenone derivatives (2, 3), as well as two known compounds (4, 5) were obtained from the endophytic fungus Fusarium sp. HP-2, which was isolated from "Qi-Nan" agarwood. The structures of the new compounds were elucidated by analysis of 1D and 2D NMR, and by HRESIMS spectra, as well as by comparison with the literature. Bioactivity results indicated that compound 3 showed weak acetylcholinesterase inhibitory activity.
